As far as the color quality goes no. The colors are vibrant oh, the blacks are black. What makes the q70t better is a Quantum 4K image processor + 120 megahertz panel. If you watch a lot of sports with fast moving action, then you want the q70t.

@@rpsinfoman You sure about that 120 megahertz panel, that seems awfully "mega" fast. Also it's easy to say to just get the bigger ones, but when they cost like 3 times more it starts to be a question of money.

@@Khaled.962 I bought it because our previous Samsung was flaking out. The place where we have the TV is a perfect fit for a 43” TV. There are only 2 brands that I could find at Best Buy this size: Samsung and Sony. I compared the two and bought the Samsung, partly because it got better reviews and partly because Samsung has worked well for me over the years. All this is to say that I wish I had a broader choice. It’s OK. I’m not wowed by it. I would have preferred the Q70 or even better because the next level up has much better picture features and adjustments. One thing I didn’t like about my last Samsung and don’t like about this is that the viewing angle is very narrow. Too far off axis and the colors are really washed out. I don’t not recommend it but if you have a place for a bigger TV and you can afford to pay more, I would consider other options.

Is there a noticeable difference between the q60t and q70t apart from the specs? I’m not a gamer - will I notice the hz (60 vs 120) difference in movies and sports and is the more powerful processor in q70t noticeably better than the lite version of q60t for an average consumer? Will I gain any function of hdmi 2.1 other than the next gen console which I’m not intending to use. Thank you.

    • @TVHiFiProinEnglish
      @TVHiFiProinEnglish  3 года назад

      Hi Markel,
When a HDR content is reproduced, the TV changes the Gamma automatically to ST.2084. If that doesn't happen, then the content is not really in HDR or the TV is not decoding the signal in HDR.

  • @Raidallinen76

    • @TVHiFiProinEnglish

You should use at least a HDMI 2.0 cable for HDR. All the ports on this TV are 2.0, so you can connect the cable in whichever you want.
That's right, when the content is in HDR, the TV switch automatically to a HDR mode, that changes the gamma and so on.

      Hi,
If you calibrate in SDR and HDR with movie picture, you won't need to change it. But if you select for example the movie mode in SDR and Dynamic mode in HDR, the TV will save the last selected. So you'll have to switch the mode again, although the calibration parametres will have been saved.

    samsung q60t or sony x750h?

I'd rather the Samsung Q60T, it has a higuer contrast. Besides the X750H is the Sony's entry model, you should compare it with other model in Samsung.

Your information this TV out performs the q60R is grossly in accurate. Period! I own both. The Q70t is the equivalent of the Q60r if you want that performance. The Q60t has dropped the fast 120hz panel and has excellent motion control. They have also downgraded the image processor to the less powerful Quantum lite vs it's successor. This is the game Samsung plays, they drop features and lower the price making it attractive, while pushing you to higher price point if you want the features that were included with the previous years model. This is however a GOOD TV, not a great one and most suitable for a Bedroom, Den, etc. I would not consider it for a primary Home Theater setup. I mean after all it was on sale for 429.00 and you really do get what you pay for.

@rpsinfoman Is there a noticeable difference between the q60t and q70t apart from the specs? I’m not a gamer - will I notice the hz (60 vs 120) difference in movies and sports and is the more powerful processor in q70t noticeably better than the lite version of q60t for an average consumer? Will I gain any function of hdmi 2.1 other than the next gen console which I’m not intending to use. Thank you!

@@SEL. This is the review I posted to Best Buy. Verified Purchase|Posted 1 week ago.Owned for 1 week when reviewed.
I'll get to the point. I own the 2019 q60R version of this TV. I bought this thinking it would be just as good if not better. I was WRONG! While this is a good TV and barely above average, it is not a great one. Samsung has cheapened this up so much, with a downgraded image processor (Quantum Lite) and a 60Hz/120 motion rate panel it performs no better than a cheaper 43 inch. Being a Q-LED Panel overhaul this TV is disappointing. I am still on the fence about returning and moving up a model line to the q70 series for the same performance I get in 2019 Q60r. However for the money it represents a good value to get into a QLED panel. The color is stunning, blacks are very good, and the brightness of the panel is excellent. The HDR mode doesn't have the brightness to view that content correctly. The image processing is average with the lite processor and the overhaul menu system is slow.

The Q70T, has a 120 Hz panel and comes with HDMI 2.1, so that you can play in 4K at 120 Hz and also it supports Variable Refresh Rate with FreeSync.

If price difference is big I would go with Q60t, same perfomance in movies and series, Q70t only better in sports and games if they can run in 120 FPS (99% of games can't)
