i just order the 50 inch model of q60a!Your reviews helped me a lot! Solar panel in the remote helps a lot because im From Greece and we got like 300 sunny days per year..
The exact two models I am considering buying, so many thanks! Definitely the Q60A for me simply on the increased brightness and the thiness, plus here in Europe the price difference between the two is only about €150 (euro), so for me a no brainer. There would have to be about a €250+ saving to push me towards the Q60Tthat. The only upside of the Q60T here is, that it comes with a 10 year 'no screen staining' guarantee', but no mention of that guarantee with the Q60A. I'm hoping whatever technology they used on the 2020 model carried over to the 2021 model. I say that as the reason I'm changing TV is due to Purple screen staining on my existing 5 yr old Samsung. Great video Steve, thanks for helping me decide!
Your comparison is by far the best I've found! I really like the way you do it side by side and overall ideas of the difference between them. Great job
I just bought last years model and found out about this years model when I got home. I’m going to return it and grab the newer model instead! Great review video glad I stumbled across it.
Thanks a bunch. Still torn but some of the things you pointed out gave me more to consider. I enjoy the brighter picture in the Q60A and the fact that it’s thinner. But I like the fact that the Q60T has the old cable plug ins (I still have a VCR) and remote batteries that can still be manually replaced. Decisions, decisions…. I don’t really game and just want it to watch TV, so I’m leaning more towards the Q60T.
Great review. Just got the Q60T 65" but the housing on the back was loose. Best Buy didn't have a replacement and talked me into upgrading to the Q60A. Even before comparing the pictures in your video, I thought the Q60T had a dark picture when I got it. They look so bright at the store.
Excellent video Steve. There definitely are some things about the A series that I like better, first having a rechargable remote control... why isn't this the standard? I mean the solar panel probably won't do much but still not having to swap out batteries ever is kind of a nice thing as the rechargable battery (I'm guessing lithium) will outlast the TV most likely. I do have to say the A also looks bright, but that may not necessarily be a good thing, on the one test with the black and white checker board the T series blacks looked so dark compared to the A series, and the PS5 racing game you start with everything just looks too bright not enough dark contrast to really make things pop, not sure if this was due to your camera settings though. Overall I think the question I now have is... should I spend a little more and go for the Q70 🤣🤣🤣
I bought this last weekend the Q90T 75", I choose this TV over the more expensive Neo QLED Q85A, I save myself 700 dollars, picture Quality is similar, I believe again That last year models are better, but the Neo QLED technology is nice, once again brightness is the difference 16 HDR, vs 32 HDR but other than that the TVS are very similar.
Q60T owner here, bought mine a few months ago when they were clearing them out, Couldn't be happier with this TV. Really responsive for gaming and the colors and blacks are outstanding. You will be very happy with either imho but man the colors really pop on the Q60T in real life.
Looked at the 2021 A model today in a store. Was pretty taken with how it looked. Picture does look brighter and clearer than last year's model. Looks like I will be getting myself the 2021 A model
Amazing review, I ordered the Samsung HW Q60T a couple days ago and I am waiting for that to arrive, and I thought that I might as well upgrade my TV some time the upcoming months as well, so I obviously thought about the fitting TV which was the Q60T, lovely to see that they already have a new model that seems quite a bit slicker in design, and the higher brightness will make a good difference as well for not much of an upprice! Luckily both are amazing though lol.
Great video, you touched on all the important items i needed to know, ended up buying a 75" Q60A, great over all at an entry level TV. I am very happy, only wish Samsung would get off the Tizan kick. would have been so much better. I am a Samsung geek, have all the gadgets , just hate Tizan/ Bixby going to be there down fall.
@@seymourh5555 so great. Only concern I have is with the apps available on the store. So limited. Since it's tizen, I guess it goes for all Samsung TVs.
I bought the Q60T Back in November, I believe that last year model Q60T, is still better than the new model Q60A, I have noticed that the price on some of last year models the Q series 60,70,80,90 has not been lowered yet, in some cases the Q60A, and rest of the series, has the the same price tags, or sometimes lower than last year model, I was hoping that the Neo QLED introduction was going to lower the price tags on this TVS but is not the case.
one of the best comparison videos I've seen. I did choose the new model as I like the picture a whole lot better. My concern might be in the audio but the tv will be in a home office that is roughly 11x15 jroom. The tv will be wall mounted in a corner and be hung corner wise and not flush to the wall. So I dont know if a sound bar can be added since its caddy corner. Open to your thoughts on this. Can I live with just the tv audio.
Steve, do you know if this new Samsung had a provision of holes to mount a sound bar? It doesn't look like it comes with any sound bar brackets either. Where would you buy them for this tv? I have a LG 65" and it came with the brackets
I would have to go with the T, better contrast, color, blacks, sound, if you even want to count that. The A is brighter, that's about it. Better picture is what's it's about, who cares about remote, adjustable stand, and slightly thicker panel.
Great review Steve, you are definitely my go-to TV reviewer for 2020/2021. I'm stuck between the q70t and the q70a in 65". Ratings have the q70a at a little bit brighter, am I missing anything else if I was to go with 2020? thx
@@TechSteve When you showed the hdr content with the city skyline at night, the Q60A really shined. It was noticeably brighter with more detail in the dark scenes. 😍

Thank you for this video, Steve. In my region in India, the price difference between the models is almost $120 in US currency, making me lean towards the Q60T, and also for the value you've mentioned in your video. But I also came across feedbacks on the Tizen OS version in 60T being buggy and having a not so smooth interface. What is your review on the same and compared with 60A?
I have a Google TV and a Roku on my Samsung TV, My main issue with Tizen is that some RUclips TV videos don’t play and every once in awhile i get an error that wifi isn’t connected
Watched this video and went to Best Buy immediately after work to grab the Q60A for my living room. This video was very informative and provided the details I needed in order for me to make this purchase.
Personally I prefer the colors from the Q60T, BUT, at the same time the brightness levels on the Q60A looks very nice, and that remote is game changing, TV remote is the last thing in my house that uses AA batteries, I would very much like to replace that xD. I think the 200 dollar difference, is worth it, especially if you use a sound bar. But, if you are on a budget, and don't want to invest in a sound bar, the 60T is solid. People tend to forget even though it's base model Samsung, it's better than every single TV at your local walmart on display lol.
Thanx Steve. Funny I bought the Q70T 65" may 2020. It died, Samsung came in and said they will exchange it. So back to Best Buy and upgraded with store credit to the 65" Q70A. Will leave my thoughts in a week!!
Good video. One turn off is the cheap quality of the Legs/Stands/Feet on these models (43") and would hope on the 60" & 65" have better materials....I believe that Oled is the better buy for an extra $400-$500....but hopefully prices for Oled drop $200-$300 buy Xmas Season in September/October
at the end I decided buy Q60T 50" because of the lower price and similar spec. . consider that in these days I found the Q60T 50" at price of 520 euros against price of Q60A 50" of about 620 euros , so difference between 2 models is about 100 euros and more or less works the same ..
I just bought the 75 inch q70t. I made sure to check all the specs first before going for the q70t. In both models they beat the A version easily. And it was 700 bucks cheaper!!! I just set up the q70t last night... I tested it out on my PS4 with Ghost of Tsushima. The menu screen is white with black choices, red when you choose it. It was so damn bright that having the lights dimmed it lit up my entire lounge room lol So I really don't care about going brighter. I mean how bright do they want to go!?
Q60A all around looks better. To me its a little brighter, crisper, clearer. The only place where i could see the Q60T better is it has just a touch more color. But not enough to make a big deal. I would buy the Q60A.
What a review....damn great....haven't seen any gadget review video like this...it's so real...so practical,,so informative and helpful....your video is great man ..I just loved it,,kudos

Hey Steve, I can see that the older model is on a little tilt as compared to the newer model? Can you confirm? There is a little gap on the top left of old and top right corner of the new model suggesting that the older model is tilted backwards a bit
Steve excellent job 👏, I would like to watch movies and q60t seems more pleasing for my eyes, besides colors are more natural on q60t rather than the new model. Thickness is not crucial for me. Samsung has a tu8500 model in Europe and have ever checked and comparing q60t? I wonder that 55xh8096 colors are better than 55tu8500 or 55qt60 for movies and TV streaming because my main purpose to use this new TV set for the small room for macbook monitor and note 10+ samsung dex , so as a result of those movie and computer monitor considerations what do you propose? My main TV is sony 65xf9005. Sorry for my long comments, thank you for your understanding
Hi Steve ...I’m from India...really nice comparison ...I’m watching your videos from last week as planing to buy new 4K tv...in India these models are bit costly...n getting confused between AU8000 ($725), Q60t ($760 in offer) & Q60a ($970) ... last one is very pricy to last option...can you pls suggest me which one is great value for money
I'm a little late to the party... and a little confused, cuz at this time- Amazon has the newer model at 100$ LESS than the older model! I was leaning towards that one anyway, soooo... go with Steve!
hello congratulations for the video. I would like to buy one of the two smart TVs. What do you recommend between the 50 "model of 2020 and the 43" model of 2021? Live, do you notice the difference in colors and brightness so much?
Awesome video and cant wqit for the q60a to be released in the uk in a 43 inch. My only concern is with the q60t alot of people were complaining about motion blur especially with sports. Is this something you have seen or know a fix if this happens with the q60a?
After a bit of research of my own i know the Q60A does not yet have a lot of the UK apps available such as BBC iplayer, ITV and channel 4od .. the main UK apps for TV
Thanks great video!! I been on the fence wich one to get I like the 80t and 90t cause so much brighter than the 60t.. But the soo much more expensive. This looks like great compromise and not crazy expensive.
Questions; Can you adjust the HEIGHT of the tv HIGHER than you did in this video?? Do you like any OTHER 32 inch 4k tv's MORE than this samsung??? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! the 32 inch is the most important part for me, I would move up in price, for a 4k -- if it were better and -- still a 32 inch! I will be running an hdmi cord to a desk top MAC, that has a retina display and runs at 60hz! I hope this little info helps!
Good review. My request would be to show the more standard applications that come with computers (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Solitaire, default Browser etc.). Why? Because folks not using the screen 'just' for movies/games (but possibly 9 - 5 jobs) will also want to get an idea of how legible fonts, characters, and popular programs look on these devices. Thanks.
Good comparison, thank you for taking the time to do this for us! A question, well, two questions, how is the contrast of the Q60A compared to the Q60T? And how does the dark level detail compare to the Q60T?
@@TechSteve I can see the brightness difference, which is nice. But as I understand it, a compressed video for RUclips doesn't maintain detail and color like an in person viewing would, and the TV's are off center and at an angle. I'm not trying to sound like I'm picking on your work, I've just been trying to pick one of these myself and none of the stores in my area have the Q60A yet.
confusingly at the moment i see the Q60T offered actually more expensive than the Q60A how to make sense of this? The A is clearly a little bit superior and newer...
Great presentation Steve! My 10 year old 55" 1080p Samsung is having problems and I need to replace it. I don't do gaming and am a novice TV watcher. Just plan to hook up to my cable box, no streaming. What would you suggest as a replacement? Thanks!

OK had the TV for a few days and it blows the q60T away!! It's really night and day difference. Brighter clearer. Love it
Great to hear
It’s a great TV
I just bought the 75 inch q70t. I made sure to check all the specs first before going for the q70t. In both models they beat the A version easily. And it was 700 bucks cheaper!!!
I just set up the q70t last night...
I tested it out on my PS4 with Ghost of Tsushima. The menu screen is white with black choices, red when you choose it. It was so damn bright that having the lights dimmed it lit up my entire lounge room lol
So I really don't care about going brighter.
Thanks you so much, spread the word. I’m almost at 100,000 subscribers
@@TechSteve you deserve not 1M but 1B subscriber,,,your style of giving information is extremely unique n simplest n you covers the area which others don't even think about....
I appreciate it
Great video!!! I can't wait to go through more videos...
Absolutely love this review, & the music at the end is soo relaxing & I've the new model 2021
Thanks 🙏🏽
brilliant review yet again thankyou sir
My pleasure!
Tech Steve
you have done an incredible demonstration of both models.
by the way: I play CSR2. GOOD GAME!. 😃
I’m not a gamer but thank for the suggestion
Great video, subscribed, had one question what resolutions are available in the wide/ super wide game bar options?
thanks for the review. I'll go for q60t. its 744€ vs 984€ here in Croatia atm.
Nice 👍🏽
The detail level in q60a is much better and I noticed it when looking at the breaking discs of the red car.
^Q^ Thank you for sharing the comparison between Q60T and Q60A. It is really helpful and useful to me.
Now this is how you review a TV, really insightful thank you
Thanks
Great review I would like to see a review of ASSISTANTS Google vs Alexa Bixby which one has the most control over the TV and which is best to use ... Thanks to this saved a lot on Q60 T thanks TechSteve 😃
Noted
Hey Steve, I can see that the older model is on a little tilt as compared to the newer model?
Can you confirm? There is a little gap on the top left of old and top right corner of the new model suggesting that the older model is tilted backwards a bit
The look straight to me, why would that matter?
Szép munka, profi video!
Köszönöm a segítséget!
Üdvözlet Magyarországról!
Peace!
Don’t think Steve speaks Hungarian!
The Q60A so bright and thin I'm also ready and waiting for LG's 2021 50 inch UP73 & 77 models thanks Steve 💯
I like LG but the App Store lacks alot of my favs
@@TechSteve yeah I'll try Samsung for a change💯
Great review! Helped me decide on the Q60A.
Thanks👍🏽
thanks so much .. this is really very helpful. Which is other good alternative to Q60A 65 inches from other brands ? thanks.
hello congratulations for the video. I would like to buy one of the two smart TVs. What do you recommend between the 50 "model of 2020 and the 43" model of 2021? Live, do you notice the difference in colors and brightness so much?
Very nicely explained.. Also your English is understandable
Thanks to u

Köszönöm a videót sikerült választanom :) pacsi Magyarországról :)
really great comparison, very appreciated :)
i'm going to buy the 55" Q60T due to the current price (569€ vs 780€)
Wow that's a lot. I just got my 65" Q60A for 574€ in Greece

I love the Q60T for my living room but which one would you recommend for going upstairs
The video is the answer
Great video! Question...how can you fix lag on screen mirroring. Gaming is imposible...
Not really, it wireless.
The difference is not much for the price sold at... Q60T is better...
Hello Steve! I didn't see anything related to the angle of view.. from the sides.. did I miss any part? Hello from Brazil!
Song x9000h and Q60t and samsung 8000 series which one is best
Sony x900h... hands down.
Thanks great video!! I been on the fence wich one to get I like the 80t and 90t cause so much brighter than the 60t.. But the soo much more expensive. This looks like great compromise and not crazy expensive.
You’re welcome
Thank you for video, I bought Q60A💪
Questions; Can you adjust the HEIGHT of the tv HIGHER than you did in this video??
Do you like any OTHER 32 inch 4k tv's MORE than this samsung???
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! the 32 inch is the most important part for me, I would move up in price, for a 4k -- if it were better and -- still a 32 inch!
I will be running an hdmi cord to a desk top MAC, that has a retina display and runs at 60hz! I hope this little info helps!
Nope
Good review. My request would be to show the more standard applications that come with computers (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Solitaire, default Browser etc.). Why? Because folks not using the screen 'just' for movies/games (but possibly 9 - 5 jobs) will also want to get an idea of how legible fonts, characters, and popular programs look on these devices. Thanks.
Good comparison, thank you for taking the time to do this for us!
A question, well, two questions, how is the contrast of the Q60A compared to the Q60T? And how does the dark level detail compare to the Q60T?
Just watch the demos in the video
@@TechSteve I can see the brightness difference, which is nice. But as I understand it, a compressed video for RUclips doesn't maintain detail and color like an in person viewing would, and the TV's are off center and at an angle. I'm not trying to sound like I'm picking on your work, I've just been trying to pick one of these myself and none of the stores in my area have the Q60A yet.
No problem, There’s no way to make a video that answers everyone’s question. Just buy and try is the only way sometimes.
@@TechSteve Thanks again for the video, I'm glad there are people putting this kind of info out there!
Support form INDIA great detail and information
Thanks 👍🏽
does q60 series support dolby atmos, vision?
Nope HDR10+
Excellent and well thought out review!!!! Subscribing!
Hey Steve , which is better for ps5 gaming + wathing Netflix Q60A,Q60T or AU9072 ? (4K 60FPS gaming)
good info thanks. i think Q60A is more worth it overall.
confusingly at the moment i see the Q60T offered actually more expensive than the Q60A how to make sense of this? The A is clearly a little bit superior and newer...
If u play the video at .25x speed u can tell the q60A has much better response time when gaming ❤ great video
Good to know
Great presentation Steve! My 10 year old 55" 1080p Samsung is having problems and I need to replace it. I don't do gaming and am a novice TV watcher. Just plan to hook up to my cable box, no streaming. What would you suggest as a replacement? Thanks!
Q60T is a great TV ruclips.net/video/nTfotZ-fOs0/видео.html
Dear Steve, my we are a home of 5 people age 3, 28, 33, 61 and 68. Watch tv mostly during day with lot of day light. May purchase a gaming console for the kid in 4-5 yrs time. I think Samsung q60a 2021 is ideal. Do you think the same? Open for suggestion from others also.
The q60a will be a great TV for most people
Q60A would be my choice, do you know if that older remote, the standard samsung remote works with the q60a? excellent comparison btw
Yes
good videos can you review the 2021 q70a and q80a please
I don’t have those TVs nor the budget at this time. TechSteveSD.com
I have the Samsung Q60T, and it's a good 4K tv. (I use it for gaming)
Nice
