TLDR: I don't agree with you and I think this is a *great QLED TV* (while ignoring the fact that it's quite expensive in UK) A month ago, I somehow stumbled upon your video a couple of hours after I ordered this TV. And I really got a little bit confused, because in shop (went to see it in person, also read reviews beforehand) the image quality looked really good, also the viewing angles were alright for a QLED TV. Now, after a month of using it every day, I must say I do not agree with your review at all. Your opinions regarding certain aspects of the TV just don't apply to me, and I think it could be like that for a lot of people. Now, don't get me wrong, certain aspects of this TV are not as good as top OLED TVs definitely, but for an average (or even a little bit above average) user this would be a damn good TV. And just to put things in perspective, I'm quite picky about the screens I use, although I do not have a big amount of experience with TVs, I had many high end PC monitors which I am/was using both for gaming and professional work. The only reason that I get some of your opinions is price in the UK. Here in Croatia, prices were not near that high and compared to some other models this was quite a good deal. Anyway, a month passed by and I must say I am completely happy with my TV :)
I looked at the 50" version of this today in currys and it did seem brighter and more colourful, more gloss less matt than the TU7000. It is almost twice the price but there did seem to be quite a difference in the picture unless the TU7000 wasn't setup well
I think your comments are dead on. I feel that Samsung have been downgrading their TVs since 2018. I have the Q8D, Q8FN in the states. And this TV is just amazing!. I personally think Samsung are purposely nurfing their TVs to support their quantum dot Oleds in the near future. Thank you for the honest review buddy, keep up the good work , 👍🏻
It's pretty strange to hear bad things about the contrast ratio on this tv. I had heard that the black levels, along with the quantum dot screen, was one of the few good things about it so far.

I have 43” version doesnt seem entry level to me at best buy its considered a higher end set which is interesting but still a wonderful set either way great picture and sound
@Be Free TV motion blur isnt noticeable to me at least, it has a judder reduction which is nice. the tv is really good definitely high quality compared to other set I’ve owned including my Sony I’ve owned before getting it

I've done a ton of research and it seems to me, even with all the flack this set gets - that it's still among the very highest quality options when it comes to the specific market of 43 inch sets. There's just very few higher end options out there at 43 inches. This review has me concerned but I'm hoping this set pleasantly surprises me and is a really nice set for the bedroom. It's a horrible deal in the UK price but it's much cheaper nearly everywhere else. Just curious why it's showing gray blacks when its native contrast is insanely high, 7000:1 beating far more expensive sets in that category

In the US you get the slim one. About the remote, will be nice if the TV turn on by pressing the shortcuts (Netflix, Amazon prime, etc), just make you take more steps then my 5y old Vizio.
For the price in the US its not bad it has a higher brightness than the q60r and the only things that are bad is no freesync and its only 60hz. I have the 43 inch version and it costs 530 dollars.
I got the 43 inch on the way (for the bedroom). On sale at around $450. I've done a ton of research on 43 inch sets and even with the flaws this would have to be on the short list of best options at that size, right?

@@robertreynolds1489 No worries. Paralysis from over choice is very much a thing today. Just look at the wealth of content on Netflix, Prime and other subscription channels. Sometimes too much choice is counter productive. As for TVs I did my research and decided to get a 65'' OLED but will wait till hit its £1600 as I am not paying £2K for a TV!
You are spot on, I dont game and my model is a QA65Q60T... I also noted the price but here in Philippines our prices are higher too, mine ran at a deep discount of $1200 with 12% VAT ... our tvs have a different interface, we have an extra color mode called Filmaker mode, I also noticed we have the full blown ambient mode BUT I have a 2017 MU7000 which I'm the US is a MU8000 . SO I NOTICE LAG ON THIS compared to my fantastic 2017 with a much much much snappier tizen, 120 refresh.. This q60t is a flicker machine if you toy with expert mode and then plug in say an fire tv 4k... pathetic. Picture quality is okay, the ONLY redeeming feature is QLED, I unlike you did notice better colors represented and slightly better blacks over the 70 or 80 series. Note, Samsung pulled a fast one they made this tv not a replacement for the Q60R but instead made a new model Q70T which replaces the 2019... so yes the 2019 is by 90% of all things a better unit and I fkd up not going for the 2019 model that was also less money!

I bought the 55” for £799. Having had a closer look, the ambiance function is disappointing and not as great as I thought it would be...there is no “info” option on there so there is no chance to set it up to show news headlines, weather or time. Can’t use the Music Wall either. Also having problems with Samsung TV Plus, I have a feeling we can’t use this in the UK...these are the main reasons I bought this TV. This guy is wrong Just got the 50" for £629 in the UK and its great.Got it to replace a 49" 4k led because I need bluetooth. I spent 30 mins in the "Expert picture settings " and cannot fault it. As I type I'm watching the Arsenal v Spurs derby match through Sky Q in UHD and its like being in the ground. HDR demos on RUclips are equally impressive.For the price compared to same size OLED tvs and and with its features - Amazon Prime, Netflix, built in voice control, bluetooth its great. The Internet is laggy compared to my other set and takes a second to go to selected sites but its not a deal breaker. One thing I can't do is get the smaller remote to control the volume of my Canton soundbox, but I prefer the larger remote anyway.

Just go and buy the LG un 7400 or upgraded 8100 I have 8100, it really is the best and it is now only £500 here in UK good viewing angle great sound and it is direct back lit it is even better than the same priced Panasonic. And for movies that have been made on a budget with poor camera panning the filmmaker mode is incredible.
Do you think it's worth getting theTU8000 over this and saving 600 dollars here in Canada? I want the 85" and the only real choices in this price range are the Q60T and the TU8000
He noted the 80 series was awesome, at 100k quid, checkout the 8000 series man it has all the good stuff .. I wish I had not been smarter and gone the extra 10 miles to the dealer who had last years 2019 R series of the Q60 ... anyway the 8000 series, 7100 series if you don't care about blue tooth or some chart features .. If you're not a Sammy diehard I came close to getting the Hisense but I do not want android tv... so option of Sony makes a nice unit in that bracket .
Here is what Samsung did to the Q60t. The Q60t is basically the 8000 series. They downgraded the q60 series bad this year. If you want a GOOD q60 get the 2019 version. It has so many more features and wasn’t hamstrung

@@JohnDoe-vr7qt Bitstream is lossy 5.1 you want to select uncompressed in the xbox options for full lossless 5.1 which is far superior for gaming. On my current setup I downloaded the Atmos app on xbox and use full lossless 5.1 atmos! That's an even better way to go for gaming and movies.
@@swisstoni151 If I select Uncompressed 5.1 it does not accept it at all, I have to do Bitstream or it will not work. Could this be a limitation of my 2014 Audio receiver? I know that it does not do Dolby Atmos. Only the old school DD5.1 and DTS, none of the HD audio formats. I believe also that DD is a compressed codec no matter what you choose, unlike DTS which isn't supported by the TV at all.
@@JohnDoe-vr7qt yes you will need a newer av receiver to tick those boxes, one that has proper Earc and I'm sorry to say your TV advertises Earc support and says it on the back on the TV but it doesn't I guarantee you, I bought one and sent it back 2 days later cause it doesn't work properly at all. The only way to get proper audio on your setup is to get a newer Av receiver like the one I have the Sony str-dh790 which supports all the audio formats including atmos assuming you go through the receiver first and then to the TV it also supports 4k HDR video at 60fps which is great for the console I have the xbox one x, obviously make sure you have new hdmi leads hdmi 2.1 to plug everything in, do not use old cables and then you will get uncompressed audio which will blow your mind once you select it on xbox. One downside though is that if you have the brand new xbox series x you are limited on the av receiver to 60fps 4k HDR which is fine for my setup but new consoles support 4k 120fps and also have allm and vrr etc due to the massive leap in technology from 18gb per second with hdmi 2.0 to 2.1 with 48gb per second! You won't be able to use any of those options through the avr but it's no big deal as most games will be 4k 60 HDR and the Sony does that perfectly. Seriously the better sound will blow you away, you'll get a very good deal on that Sony amp with black Friday but just make sure the speakers you have are compatible, you need to check there impedence and see if there 6ohm or 8ohm, off the top of my head I believe the Sony is 6 ohm. Hope this helps

The problem with Samsung TVs (non fald) is that you can only watch HDR 10 plus in movie mode. But in movie mode and warm 2, it looks washed out and yellowish colors
I just bought that less than a week ago and I'm not happy with it at all. Games look bad, the picture looks bad, but I do have the fancy remote that doesn't work with my soundbar🤨. I'm sending this one back and trying the crystal.
I purchased this tv myself and unfortunately have regretted it ever since, if you like playing games especially, avoid at all cost. This is by far my worst purchase ever, I expected a far better tv at the price I paid for it. This review is spot on

It's called 100Hz because it's a PAL unit and they go in increments of 50Hz unlike NTSC that is in increments of 60Hz. It is just due to the region that they use PAL notation. Really it doesn't matter in any case because the HDMI inputs are all limited top 60Hz, so the only content you could ever possibly get above 60Hz is stuff streamed in the Apps, and I don't think you'll get any 100Hz or 120Hz content streamed from Netflix for e.g. so really, you'd say it's a 60Hz TV.

Seeing this tv in person. The backlight was visible and everything looked washed out. The colours good especially after putting it into movie mode with white balance set to warm 2. Overall I wouldn’t recommend it
No. You are correct. The Q60t is awful. The motion is poor. It’s CHEAPLY built. HDR is AWFUL. I sold my Q60t and bought a slightly cheaper TCL 5 series 2020 QLED. THAT TV you need to review. It BLOWS AWAY the q60t

The only way to get proper audio on your setup is to get a newer Av receiver like the one I have the Sony str-dh790 which supports all the audio formats including atmos assuming you go through the receiver first and then to the TV it also supports 4k HDR video at 60fps which is great for the console I have the xbox one x, obviously make sure you have new hdmi leads hdmi 2.1 to plug everything in, do not use old cables and then you will get uncompressed audio which will blow your mind once you select it on xbox. One downside though is that if you have the brand new xbox series x you are limited on the av receiver to 60fps 4k HDR which is fine for my setup but new consoles support 4k 120fps and also have allm and vrr etc due to the massive leap in technology from 18gb per second with hdmi 2.0 to 2.1 with 48gb per second! You won't be able to use any of those options through the avr but it's no big deal as most games will be 4k 60 HDR and the Sony does that perfectly. Seriously the better sound will blow you away, you'll get a very good deal on that Sony amp with black Friday but just make sure the speakers you have are compatible, you need to check there impedence and see if there 6ohm or 8ohm, off the top of my head I believe the Sony is 6 ohm. Q60t is better , more contrast , wide color gamut , black uniformity , and better input lag in game mode .

The problem with Samsung TVs (non fald) is that you can only watch HDR 10 plus in movie mode. But in movie mode and warm 2, it looks washed out and yellowish colors

I purchased this tv myself and unfortunately have regretted it ever since, if you like playing games especially, avoid at all cost. This is by far my worst purchase ever, I expected a far better tv at the price I paid for it.

Here in the AU, the Q60T 55" is 100hz and you ONLY get the smart remote.
It's called 100Hz because it's a PAL unit and they go in increments of 50Hz unlike NTSC that is in increments of 60Hz. It is just due to the region that they use PAL notation. Really it doesn't matter in any case because the HDMI inputs are all limited top 60Hz, so the only content you could ever possibly get above 60Hz is stuff streamed in the Apps, and I don't think you'll get any 100Hz or 120Hz content streamed from Netflix for e.g. so really, you'd say it's a 60Hz TV.

Seeing this tv in person. The backlight was visible and everything looked washed out. The colours good especially after putting it into movie mode with white balance set to warm 2. Overall I wouldn’t recommend it

No. You are correct. The Q60t is awful. The motion is poor. It’s CHEAPLY built. HDR is AWFUL. I sold my Q60t and bought a slightly cheaper TCL 5 series 2020 QLED.
