I just bought a MAONO usb mic. It came with a whole kit. I bought it during Amazon prime days for $40. I'm worried after seeing your video that it's going to be a crap mic. I haven't set it up but I have noticed it's USB A to USB B.
As a person getting ready to start a RUclips channel I don't have a lot to spend and still want that "premium" sounding audio (cause I know it's important) is there anything under $100 that offers a good sound to start with?

One of the easiest things to upgrade but easily neglected is audio quality … the minute i upgraded my audio quality i noticed a significant rise in the analytics … i belive audio is more than 50% of the video 🔥💯 Thanks Think for the breakdown 🔥

Yeah people get tired of lousy audio and expect very good sound because so many creators pay attention to it in production so they know what is possible. It’s like watching movies that are hard to hear.

Yeah I have a camera and my phone but using my phone for audio is not working at all. I'm a complete beginner but I need to upgrade this now I don't care lol. I know myself when watching/listening to videos bad audio drives me NUTS!

Great video! Deity makes some great mics and I use my S Mic-2S everyday! One thing to note, if you are using a mic like the D3 Pro with gain controls, it's always best practice to lower your cameras record level and raise the mic's gain level to get the cleanest audio recording. This generally helps with your noise floor as your audio equipment (the mic) is doing most of the work and your camera is doing as little as possible.

My suggestion, instead of showing each mic one by one, show them all at once on the table and make a comparison between them as you show their features, functions as well as price tag so every person can compare and decide... this will save you time as well as the watchers... some people will decide based on price, function, and need.

I don't like Shotgun mics on top of the camera. I think that only works when you are holding a big camera in selfie mode but how much does anyone do that? I tried a shotgun mic on a stand but too much hassle setting it up. I think you need a permanent studio for that setup.
Love my Rode Wireless Go (2 of them) into my Zoom H6 audio recorder filming at home with my iPhone and my DSLR. I use them for interviews. And recently for my iPhone I love my Shure MV88 to easily clip into my iPhone for quick videos.

I love the Comica mics. They have something for every need like Diety. The Duo seems cool. I've had to turn my mic around when I go from talking to sharing something. Not a big deal but this would be more convenient. Good info, but the title should say which Diety mic is best.....

I'm using the Mosquito wireless lavalier microphone. It's a cheap on and not a big brand but works great. But one thing that I'm missing and that I'm on the hunt for is a wireless lavalier microphone and receiver that you can hook up several people to and not only to one. I know that there is some out there but the price range is still out of my reach right as of now. Maybe some day lol

I bought the diety v lav mic and also adapter for my old note 20 ultra, and there was a horrible noise when I upload it to my computer. I changed my phone with the S22 Ultra and the noise was the same, I tried different adapters, different devices and so on...but the mic had the same issue...it's terrible. Idk if it's from the mic or it's just not suitable with Samsung...nothing in common with the video.

I bought the V Lav mic for my ZV-E10 and I had to turn the camera levels all the way up, then still was seeing -20dB on the levels and the playback was so quiet. Any ideas?

The Deity D3 now retails for $60. This is a great deal. I think it sounds more clean and professional than the D4 Mini or D4 Duo. It doesn’t have the extra input option and it requires a battery. The battery has never given me an issue. So it’s up to you… for a very comparable price do you want quality or features?

Hi, let me ask you if you buy the deity d3 pro it came with its own batery, but what happend when you use it a lot the batery has a uselife, so can you change it? I have a Yeti mic that I have been using. I recently bought a Canon EOS T7 though and am a bit stuck on how to record my audio now. It doesn't have a mic jack and I don't want to dismantle my camera to make a mic jack. Any suggestions from the Think Media team or anyone are so welcome! Edit to say that my smartphone is not an option for recording. I tried it with a lav mic and the jack on my phone doesn't work.

Does anybody know what's up with the Blue Yeti mic these days? I bought one ages ago, and recently tried to use it with the download blue Sherpa app, but it never seems to register my mic, so I assumed it had something to do with the hardware I had. Now, with a brand new macbook pro, I get the same results. Should I just use a different program, or is the blue yeti junk?

My Yeti works fine. Bit of a hassle to get to work with my ZV-E10 (got to power it with a laptop) but it sounds great. Still going to be investing in a shotgun mic. I think your Yeti might be faulty? Also seems dumb, but worth checking your cables with other mics if you have one to make sure it's not them.
