Pro tip- walk around on your knees and see things from their level. That alphabet isn't bold enough to see well way up high- consider putting it underneath the white board- along with your number line.
I agree with this! In my old classroom my bulletin board was placed lower so I was able to put my alphabet line above it and put my numbers underneath.
Looking cute. Just one quick tip - pay attention to the fonts you’re using on all your bulletin boards. Remember, your kiddos are learning their letters, so it’s important that they have ones that model the correct formation of each letter. It’s super important. I can tell how excited you are to have your first classroom of kiddos. Looking forward to watching your journey. Btw I like the flower border.
Adding on to this, I would be cautious of all caps spelling. The theme is SO cute, but def important to model what we expect of our students like appropriate use of capital letters
I would make sure all areas are visible for you to see. The library seems to be blocked by that shelf. Your doing great! Keep up the good work. You could use double sided tape to label your cart.
I know other people have given their advice about your door where you had to remove the Velcro dots, but if it were me I would just put bulletin board paper on it to cover it and put either a quote or maybe classroom photos from the year! Something to cover it up that will also serve a purpose. I also see comments about alphabet placement, fonts etc. which are all great things to think about but ultimately do what you think is best and then you can change it if it doesn’t work for you! I’m going into year 9 teaching Kindergarten and I still find myself changing things to best serve the kiddos I have. You are off to a great start!
You can cover that door with the Velcro dots with peel and stick removable wallpaper. I did this last year with a shiplap pattern and just stuck a border around it and bonus it I was an extra bulletin board 😊
Love watching your ideas for your class. As far as the goop on the door and the white board, Goo-gone is a product that removes stickers and adhesive from practically anything. I would try that before putting paper over the lower half of the door, thus adding more adhesive to your problem. The Alphabet may need to go up an inch or so, to compensate for anything along the top of the white board. I know that the white board in my class has some screw hangers on the top and it makes aligning this a challenge. See if you can borrow a level from a friend or family member.
Add a broader box around your alphabet so you can adjust using the boarder to make it look even. It also makes the alphabet look a little fancier. Just a thought. 🤷🏻♀️ Good luck!!
You may want to run masking tape along the top of your white boards where they meet the walls. If your alphabet falls, you don't want it to go behind your board to the land of no return.
You need the foundation from the foundation kit much bigger much colorful I like the that's cute before you do your blow you should always set up your classroom the tables with chairs your room arrangement it different areas should be set up then you'll see where everything goes you don't necessarily have to have a board for your the scrape off any tape all you need is a Razer blade also you could have contact the door after you put your tables down and chairs down then stop on placing your rug in your library a rug in your whole group area always have your in a position where you can see the whole class have a separate area for your small group make sure the room is colorful kindergarteners love color also I do not like red in a classroom and make sure your tables for the have a name the Apple the orange the pear the great table this is the best way to keep them organized during transitioning 21 area to the next and small-group have something on your head to let them know they're not to come to you for any reason that helps with them not interrupting you and your small something that lights up when the light is on don't come to me when the light is off you may come to it works so 😉😉😉😉♥️
Hi Kaylee! I'm organizing a sharing session at my club and would love to have you as a guest speaker. Your experience in teaching would be invaluable to our members. Let me know if you're available and interested!
Pro tip- walk around on your knees and see things from their level. That alphabet isn't bold enough to see well way up high- consider putting it underneath the white board- along with your number line.
P.S. Your style is very cute!
I agree with this! In my old classroom my bulletin board was placed lower so I was able to put my alphabet line above it and put my numbers underneath.
Do not get rid of any shelving units specially if they match the others. That is a great area for storage.
Watching these literally gives me so much motivation to finish my elementary education degree and not get discouraged😭
Do it!!!

This is a great tip!
It's okay for decor to be cute as long as it's meeting the needs of your students as well.
Adding on to this, I would be cautious of all caps spelling. The theme is SO cute, but def important to model what we expect of our students like appropriate use of capital letters
Thank you for this! Great reminder!
Was just coming here to say this! The fonts are not appropriate for kindie.
I like the brown border for class jobs and the brown border for under the alphabet
I would make sure all areas are visible for you to see. The library seems to be blocked by that shelf. Your doing great! Keep up the good work. You could use double sided tape to label your cart.
I was about to say the exact same thing! 😂 No hiding places!!!!
@@wendyzellers2288 Great minds think alike 😄
I like the plain border for the jobs
For the 10 drawer cart - I got rid of the knobs and hot glued the labels to the drawers.
Hundreds charts are in rows of tens to help with counting by ten. and also finding patterns as you go down rows.

Yep that's exactly what I had to do! thank you!
I SO relate to everything feeling crooked. I feel like my bulletin paper looks bubbly. 😅
Please keep the shelves. Storage is huge and you may not think you need it but you will.
Also, if you get rods you can add some color to your windows.

Good luck with everything! ❤
Love how it all coming along!! I really like the decor!!🧡
I would put the alphabet underneath your whiteboard, so it’s more visible to your kiddos! 😊
Class jobs with Daisy smiley border
The foundation letters

Did one roll of better than bulletin board cover all those boards?
Where did you get your classroom rug?! I’m looking for a neutral one that hopefully won’t show too much dirt.
amazon!
I love your videos❤
Can you trim excess lamination off the bottom of the abc cards that are too tall?
Goo gone for the adhesive on you white board to take it off.
Be careful having them leaning against the shelf. It can fall over especially if someone is on the other side and a small area.
Where’s this border from?! 😍 in love with the flowers and smileys
amazon! comes in a huge pack for about $11!
I think the flower border would look good for the class job board.
What bulletin board paper did you use?
better than paper white wood I believe from amazon!
What state are you in?
Clean your door with WD-40. It works WAY better than goo gone!!
