    Thank for the review Andrew. I am thinking of getting this one to turn my M3 into a Rollei35 with this puppy. How I miss Montréal :)

    I've had this lens for about a week. Super tiny and great for travel. On my M10 it renders so well, sharp, with great subject separation at f2.8.

    Andrew, thanks for the great video, and introducing us to this amazing lens. Always look forward to your content. I’m from Ottawa, but love Montréal!

    Great snaps, Voigtlander has really been doing an exceptional job with their lenses these days.

    Hey, Andrew nice video! That lens looks so compact. I have never shot a 40mm focal length on 35mm film cameras. I guess it is a good compromise if one like both the 35mm and 50mm. The cool mood you got going on there, love it !! Stay safe and keep them coming :)

      Thanks Marlon! I’m a huge fan of the focal length thanks to this lens, it’s so tiny and so versatile! Thanks for the feedback, I’ll definitely do more of these!

    Thanks for the video, really fancy that lens for my M6.
    Re the knob coming off, maybe have looked at removing it, putting a tiny blob of Loctite on it and screwing it back on. Making sure the Loctite is only on the threaded part, should work I'd have thought?

    Thx for the video Andrew👍 Price aside, for street photography would you recommend the Heliar 40 or the summilux steel rim 35 reissue?

    • @GenericPhotographer
      @GenericPhotographer  Год назад +1

      Depends on the lighting and my mood. I loved the Heliar, every image I took with it has a wow factor with beautiful dimensionality. The steel rim does a similar job with the benefit of being able to shoot with such a unique look at 1.4. I
      I prefer the handling of steel rim but the weight and size of the heliar.

    I have to agree with you on the Kodak Pro Image, but still waiting for my 40mm Heliar.

    Great video Andrew. How would this lens do on the M3 with the 50mm frames lines?

    • @GenericPhotographer
      @GenericPhotographer  2 года назад +1

      Thanks Richard! Even easier, you use the whole finder. The 50 lines are generous on the M3 as it is.

    Drop a bead of thread lock on the screwthreads

    Might be better to look at the lens instead of the viewfinder of you video camera

    One is well-advised to take a dose of Dramamine before trying to watch this video. It was taken by a man while simulating having Parkinson's disease.

      Yeah this one was a bit shaky. Next handheld one will be steadier 🙏
