I love my Air 96, the Wisteria Switches are incredible to type on!

Agree, these have a nice weight to them and they have a bit more tactility than a brown. The extra travel on these low profile siwtches are exactly what they needed.

Glad you finally got an Air series board! The first NuPhy product I saw was a Linus Tech Tips video on the Air series, back before they were released to the public. They spoke very highly of the boards, so I've always been interested. If I wasn't so happy with my GMK67 as a go-board I'd probably pick one up!

I'm quite impressed, solidly built, and it sounds better than I expected, especially with the new switches. Yeah, the GMK67 is hard to beat, so much so, I've yet to mod a thing, though that will surely change in the near future ;)

Awesome video! I’m gonna check out the other typing sounds. The wisteria interests me a lot. I have a nuphy air 60 with gateron reds and the ping bothers me when I’m not wearing headphones… glad to know I’m not the only one who hears it

Great video! I ordered this board in white with the Daisy switches last night. I did get some shine through caps as well just for a little pizzazz on the numbers and some other keys I don't use too much. I'm happy to see that the air it has some flip out feet this time. I will definitely be adding the o-rings you mentioned, and I'm curious to see how else you mod it!
As usual, I'm always full of questions 🤣I will be using this keyboard back and forth between my mac and pc. How is the connectivity between two different computers? Does it feel pretty seamless? Does it come with tools that work well with the low profile keys? (This will be my first time modding a keyboard). Do you know of any companies that make low profile PBT shine through keycaps? Thanks!

Connectivity is real good, both over Bluetooth and 2.4. I avoid using my Mac if at all possible, but have had no issues changing back and forth between my Linux workstations and my Chromebook. The tools included are standard, but the work just as well, though do note, if you are replacing switches in the Air that they are gripped from the sides, instead of the top and bottom like standard profile keyboards.
XVX makes some nice low profile shine through PBT sets: en.xvxchannel.com/collections/xvx-profile-keycaps

Thanks for the video. I got the grey 96 with Daisy switches. Not sure if 48gf is for me since this is my first mechanical keyboard, but we'll see once they arrive. Mostly looking for a solid keyboard that I can type on for 8 hours a day (work) then maybe 3-4 hours extra (productivity/gaming). Cheers!

You're welcome! 48g is fairly light and should be good for an entire workday.

Hey, loved your videos on both the Air96 and the Halo96, great work!
I've been one the fence for so long on which one of the two I should get, and I wanted to ask you, having experienced both: which one do you prefer the most?
Some have told me the Air feels nicer on the wrists, while some prefer the feel and sound of the Halo. There's a summer sale ending this week on Nuphy and I gotta pull the trigger, any tips, opinions and experiences are greatly appreciated 🙏

Thanks! Personally, I like the Halo, but I've never really been a fan of using LoPro boards for extended periods of time. The Halo series are solid well built kits that work fine with their wrist rest or others, and I'm a sucker for the lighting "perimeter".
Good luck on your choice and remember you can get an extra 10% off using code 'MechTech', cheers!

Is there going to be a folio for the 96? I haven't seen anything about it yet, but use it all the time for my 75

Good question, I've asked NuPhy and will update once I hear back.

What is the difference between the aloe and the wisteria switches?

    • @MechKeyboards
      @MechKeyboards  Год назад

Primarily that the Aloe is linear while the Wisteria is tactile.
