I just found this band last year and they instantly blew me away. Inspired me to buy tickets and go to my first live music show in over 20 years and it was well worth it, they are phenomenal live. On that note, I would say watch Evolve live at the 2023 MTV VMAs or Disciple live at Teatro Metropolitan from 2022. Both are professionally recorded shows with great sound.

Their music blends traditional genres - like classic rock, hard rock, pop and grunge - and turns it into something familiar yet unique. The Warning Army welcomes you to what we believe is the future of rock & roll - The Warning - Three sisters from Monterey Mexico who started playing together when they were children and who have now been making great hard music for more than a decade. With three studio albums, several live concert videos, and a new album on the way, we think there is plenty of material for you to choose from. I've attended two The Warning shows where I was a couple of rows from the front and one where I was back near the FOH console. The band devastates live. Give one of the world's best rock drummers, with a massive pocket, a bass player with massive bass sound who can play anything but keeps it simple, knows deep bass techniques that the bass players of Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple use, that's locked to the drummer telepathically, and you'll get rock bottom end that will injure your chest. It's not about loud subwoofers - it's about the playing. Add a guitarist/singer who is lightning in a jar with equally massive guitar sound, with stage presence off the charts and vocal power that you've just heard. You have The Warning. And then the drummer sings lead while slaying the drums where you have to just say WTF? Subbed for your enthusiasm and to follow your journey.
The Warning army has arrived! These 3 sisters from Mexico are amazing. I discovered them last October and have been blown away by their incredible talent. All 3 are talented musicians. They are going on 11 years as The Warning. They have been writing and composing there own music since Dany “guitar and lead vocals was 14, Pau “POW” drummer and vocals was 12, and Ale bassist and back up vocals was 9.
Superb 1st-time The Warning reaction Steven! I chuckled a little when you said "this is my favorite song". My favorite TW song is always the last one I heard. All their songs are bangers. The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! They have recently finished recording their 4th studio album: no name or release date yet. They have recently released 2 songs "MORE" and "SICK" from the upcoming album. The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 24, 22 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #48 original songs (and recently finished recording their 4th studio album). Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many. Drummer Paulina recently won Rock Drummer of the Year in Drumeo's recent poll and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's recent reader's poll. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. 🗣 Subscribed! 👊😊
When I first saw the Choke video almost 3 years ago, I thought, "Okay, this is cool, but they seem to be pretty young, so they probably don't have many more songs to show, and if they have more, those aren't going to be nowhere near as good as this one," and then I clicked on the Evolve video, and then I thought "ok, two out of two, that's awesome, but being at this level all the time is highly unlikely, so maybe next time I'll be disappointed..." I don't want to bore you with details, but after having listened to their entire catalogue, last year I traveled 400 miles on a tuesday just to see them live for the first time. They are simply the best rock band in the world right now IMO.

They are so ridiculously talented, and the fact that they are three sisters and not from the US or Europe or other typical metal/hard rock scenes makes it even more inspiring. They recently released a new song S!ck, but they are all good. If you want to see where they started, find the old cover of Enter Sandman that they played in their basement studio when they where literally kids, Ale the base player was like 8 or something (from what I understand mostly to show their family members) and then either a live version or the music video they made when they where featured on Metallicas Blacklist album.
They are sisters, and growing up their father during family bonding would sit them down in front of the t.v. and they would watch concerts. ACDC, Pink Floyd, Muse, Queen, Metallica, Elton John and many more. They would gravitate towards Muse being that they were a three member band, growing up they did covers of Muse when they were very young and it turns out that they were pretty good. Now they have opened up for Muse 9 times, 4 in Mexico( where they are from) and 5 in the U.K.

Dany has said that she could not sing this song at all in the beginning. She couldn’t hit the higher notes correctly. Pau ( drummer) even suggested that they play it in a different key that Dany could sing it in. But Dany refused and just practiced over and over till she could hit those notes perfectly.

This is the best live band I've ever experienced, the only band I've ever followed that doesn't have at least one song I dislike (they don't make filler songs), and they are some of the nicest and down to earth people I've ever met. By the way, all 3 sisters sing. I would suggest Disciple from their Teatro Metropolitan show next, or their latest OMV called Sick, or Evolve from the VMAs. They are releasing two new songs Hell You Call A Dream (HYCAD) and a Spanish language song Qué Más Quieres on Friday, March 8th. Both are from an upcoming new album, their fourth overall. Their most recent single releases are titled MORE and S!CK. They have around 50 original songs and they have been a band for over ten years, having started out as children.

I'm sure I speak for many fans of The Warning when I describe my first reaction to hearing them. Song 1. Wow, what a great song! I wonder if they have any other good songs, but this one will be hard to follow up. Song 2. Wow, another great song! How have I not heard of this band before? Song 3. Wow! My new favorite song by them! Rinse and repeat! I was able to see them perform live within six months of first hearing them. I intend to see them again soon!

A really great feel for what they’re like live is their performance of their song Evolve, live at the MTV VMAs! Welcome to the rabbit hole. Why is it a rabbit hole? Because there's so much for you yet to explore. They've been a band for 11 years now and by the second half of that they were writing one great song after another. One of the most amazing things about them is that despite the limitations of a trio and having a recognizable sound, every song is distinct and different. As good as this video was, they are very much live performance band, and so in the future you can't go wrong reacting to songs from their 2022 Teatro Metropolitan live concert. The audio is at a studio level of quality and it was recorded expertly using multiple cameras. BTW, Pau (Paulina), the drummer is also a great singer and can sing lead while playing drums. you might want to save or bookmark this comment... you may want to refer to it later 😜😹 *a little history:* many of us (shout out to TWA aka The Warning Army!) have been following DPA/TW (Dany on guitar, Pau on drums [like "POW!"], and Ale on bass [like "Ah leh"] aka "The Warning"), three sisters from Monterrey Mexico, since or before their first videos as a band started to hit the streams back in 2012... they are, to many of us, like daughters, nieces, or grand-daughters... DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 4 and 6 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar)... Ale (bass) was still pretty much a newborn... they all started learning and playing classical music on piano... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along... Pau, at age 6, gravitated to the drums and Dany, at age 8, took up the guitar... Ale was 7 or had just turned 8 when she chose the bass... a few months after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band... Dany is a goofball and total guitar nerd... she has numerous guitars in her arsenal... PRS, Rick Toon Spearfish, Manson, Gibson Explorer which is a gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, and more recently, a mustard yellow Manson was given to her by Matt Bellamy of Muse, one of the band's bigger influences... DPA/TW have covered several of Muse's songs and more recently they have opened for Muse in Mexico and the UK numerous times... hearing Dany make her Mansons sing is quite the treat... especially when seeing them live... Dany is also the main lead singer for the group... she has quite a range (one vocal coach says Dany can hit D5) and can growl or put gravel in her tone when needed... she easily expresses emotions with her voice and her facial expressions drive it all home while she is singing... Pau is a powerful force behind her drums... in her younger days, she was likened to "Animal", the drummer on The Muppets... she put her entire body into every stroke... it was quite joyful watching her in action... she has refined her form in recent times but she still has a powerful swing and a much stronger sound... some like to say that "she beats her drums like they owe her money!" LOL since she has refined her form, she also doesn't break as many sticks as she used to... when she did break one, she seamlessly replaced it without losing a beat and many times no one ever even noticed... in one of their interviews, Pau comments about having been playing the drums for 13 years... that was almost three years ago so she has almost 16 years under her belt, now... Pau also takes lead vocals on several songs while she is playing her drums as passionately as she does... there are not very many singing drummers in the world, today... she does aerobic exercises and running while singing to keep up her stamina and breath control... she's been singing while playing the drums since her early years... you can find videos of Pau doing drum covers when she is like 8 or 9 years old... the bass was Ale's second choice, after the harp, for an instrument... they couldn't find anyone to teach her harp so the bass it is, to everyone's delight! her original 4-string bass was a 1/2 size bass which was quite big for her... later she went to a 3/4 size 4-string bass which was still pretty large... today, Ale has grown up and effortlessly carries her "Ale's Inferno" colored Spector NS-5XL 5-string with its 35 inch neck... she has been a Spector Featured Artist since she was 15 years old... she worked with the Spector team to create the coloring of the bass which they named "Ale's Inferno"... Ale has also recently acquired a blue Spector bass that she played in most of their 2023 concerts... Ale and Dany both use Orange Amps to drive their sound but a lot of the time you will find Ale connected to an Ampeg amp attached to an 8x10 cabinet so she can feel the depth and rumble of her instrument... Dany is the same way, too... she also likes to hear and feel the sound of her guitar when she is on the stage... the sound on stage is quite different than being in the audience so having amps and cabinets on stage really helps them... the three of them, together, create a huge wall of sound that flat out pummels you when you see them live... today the girls are 24 (Dany - Jan 30 2000), 22 (Pau - Feb 5 2002), and 19 (Ale - Dec 13 2004)... they have just released the full concert they did at the Teatro Metropolitan (Metropolitan Theater) in CDMX (Mexico City) back in Aug 2022... Mexico City (2240m, 7350ft) is higher in altitude than Denver, Colorado (1609m, 5280ft)! certainly higher than their home town of Monterrey, Mexico (540m, 1770ft)... this is mentioned because of the altitude and thin air... when doing strenuous activities, you need more air... you can find their recent Aug 2022 concert on DPA/TW's YT Videos page as individual videos of the songs or as one video of the entire concert with opening and closing BTS (behind the scenes) added... they may also have a playlist of the individuals so they can be viewed in proper setlist order... the Metropolitan Theater (Teatro Metropolitan) in Mexico City (CDMX) holds like 3500 and sold out both nights they played (Aug 26th and 29th)... in 2014 a video of them doing a cover of Metallica's *Enter Sandman* from the "Black" album went viral... they were 14 (Dany), 12 (Pau), and 9 (Ale) years old at the time the video was uploaded to YT because it was too big to email to their grandparents and other family members... they went on vacation for a couple of weeks and came back to a viral video with their father's phone blowing up from all the notifications coming in... they did a few other covers but were also writing their own music, as well... they decided pretty early to not become known as a cover band... so they started releasing their own music... in 2021, DPA/TW answered a call from Metallica to take a song, any song, from the "Black" album, twist it around, upside down, and backward... keep the lyrics but make it something else... DPA/TW teamed up with Alessia Cara, a Canadian Pop and R&B artist, to reimagine *Enter Sandman* as a more haunting, eerie, and dark lullaby than the metal original... they did this in 10 days, during Covid, with Alessia working from remote in Canada... today, Nov 2023, there are four renditions of *Enter Sandman* done by DPA/TW... the original true cover that went viral, the OMV of the reimagined with Alessia, DPA/TW playing it live in concert, and the latest one with an added 10-piece string section accompanying in concert... all of the concert renditions somehow come out even darker and more foreboding, bringing almost constant chills to some fans when they hear or experience it... some huge milestones took place at the 2023 MTV VMAs... 1) The Warning were invited to play two of their songs on the Extended Stage... 2) they were the only ones to play that were not nominated for anything... 3) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the MTV VMAs... those are all quite the achievements! for the VMAs performance, there were four takes shot... two 45 second ones for broadcast and two full length ones for each of their songs, *MORE* and *Evolve* which MTV has posted to their YT channel... they were also the only ones playing on the Extended Stage to be announced on the Main Stage when their songs were played! DPA/TW have a working relationship with Pepsi in Mexico and have shot several commercials for them... this relationship plus being signed with Lava helped greatly with this milestone in their career, i'm sure... additionally, this summer (of 2023), they were the first Mexican band to play "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park" in Germany in 20 years... they have also been invited to play at the 2024 Wacken Open Air metal festival which is also held in Germany... currently they are completing their fourth album and have just finished their "Error" World Tour which has taken them all over the Americas, the UK, and Europe... i still can't believe it has been 10 years! it seems like only yesterday i was watching a very young Pau beating her drums into submission and then seeing videos of all three of them playing together as they started their journey... the rabbit hole is deep and quite enjoyable! come on in, there's plenty of room for more! 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Very enjoyable reaction. I always love to see that "Warning Smile" creep (or dash) across people's faces as they hear them for the first time. The interesting thing to me is that... this was not their favorite song off the album. I think I read somewhere they rated it number 10 out of 13 songs on the list. It would not have been the one they would have personally chosen as an introductory video to their newest album... but they were basically overruled by their newly signed label, Lava, for which this was the first of five albums they contracted for (their third official LP; the other two were produced independently, as was the first EP). I suppose it turns out marketing people _are_ worth something, at least if their good ones... because this vid prompted more positive responses from new listeners, who responded much like you did. Best Gen Z hard rock power trio on the scene today. Drummer won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year, bassist is a Spector Bass featured artist, and the guitarist has been personally gifted guitars by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm and Matt Belamy of Muse, both acts they've toured with. I just found this band last year and they instantly blew me away. Inspired me to buy tickets and go to my first live music show in over 20 years and it was well worth it, they are phenomenal live.
On that note, I would say watch Evolve live at the 2023 MTV VMAs or Disciple live at Teatro Metropolitan from 2022. Both are professionally recorded shows with great sound.

The Warning Army welcomes you to what we believe is the future of rock & roll - The Warning - Three sisters from Monterey Mexico who started playing together when they were children and who have now been making great hard music for more than a decade. As good as this studio video is, live is their magic sauce. The Warning have a sound that is both new and familiar. It is certainly hard rock, but clearly influenced by their love of metal, punk, K-pop, indie, grunge, funk, and many other genres including classical music. But they have taken those influences and forged a sound that is uniquely their own, and you know that it is them. At the same time simple and complex.
What does it sound like to me? Refreshing. A sound that has caught my ear and made me interested in rock again after 25+ years of the same old playlist. While together their combined ages are about the same as mine, their musical maturity is exceptionally high.

1) They did a video cover in their basement when they were 14, 12, and 9 that their father uploaded to RUclips for the grandparents to see. Start here. This is the video that went viral and put them on people's radar.
2) Metallica invited Alessia Cara to participate in the Blacklist 30th Anniversary album. Alessia’a team contacted The Warning (the two groups share international management agents) and the two groups wrote, recorded, and produced an entirely new version of Sandman in only ten days that ended up being the lead track on Metallica’s anniversary album. The official music video for that is a great second video.
3) The Warning then did their Sandman version at the same 2022 Teatro Metropolitan concert I mentioned above. This live performance is epic.
There are really no bad selections form this band. They are something special live. Their energy, charisma, and musicality really shine when in front of an audience. In the past two years I have flown all over North America and seen them 7 times. Can’t wait for the chance to travel and see them again. The only other band I have traveled like this for in more than 40 years of concert going was Rush.
I've attended two The Warning shows where I was a couple of rows from the front and one where I was back near the FOH console. The band devastates live. Give one of the world's best rock drummers, with a massive pocket, a bass player with massive bass sound who can play anything but keeps it simple, knows deep bass techniques that the bass players of Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple use, that's locked to the drummer telepathically, and you'll get rock bottom end that will injure your chest. It's not about loud subwoofers - it's about the playing. Add a guitarist/singer who is lightning in a jar with equally massive guitar sound, with stage presence off the charts and vocal power that you've just heard. You have The Warning. And then the drummer sings lead while slaying the drums where you have to just say WTF? Subbed for your enthusiasm and to follow your journey.
The Warning army has arrived! These 3 sisters from Mexico are amazing. I discovered them last October and have been blown away by their incredible talent. All 3 are talented musicians. They are going on 11 years as The Warning. They have been writing and composing there own music since Dany “guitar and lead vocals was 14, Pau “POW” drummer and vocals was 12, and Ale bassist and back up vocals was 9.

The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
They have recently finished recording their 4th studio album: no name or release date yet. They have recently released 2 songs "MORE" and "SICK" from the upcoming album.
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 24, 22 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #48 original songs (and recently finished recording their 4th studio album).
Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many.
Drummer Paulina recently won Rock Drummer of the Year in Drumeo's recent poll and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's recent reader's poll.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.

When I first saw the Choke video almost 3 years ago, I thought, "Okay, this is cool, but they seem to be pretty young, so they probably don't have many more songs to show, and if they have more, those aren't going to be nowhere near as good as this one," and then I clicked on the Evolve video, and then I thought "ok, two out of two, that's awesome, but being at this level all the time is highly unlikely, so maybe next time I'll be disappointed..."
I don't want to bore you with details, but after having listened to their entire catalogue, last year I traveled 400 miles on a tuesday just to see them live for the first time. They are simply the best rock band in the world right now IMO.
Ohh... Welcome to the rabbit hole that is The Warning. They are so ridiculously talented, and the fact that they are three sisters and not from the US or Europe or other typical metal/hard rock scenes makes it even more inspiring.

If you want to see where they started, find the old cover of Enter Sandman that they played in their basement studio when they where literally kids, Ale the base player was like 8 or something (from what I understand mostly to show their family members) and then either a live version or the music video they made when they where featured on Metallicas Blacklist album.
They are sisters, and growing up their father during family bonding would sit them down in front of the t.v. and they would watch concerts. ACDC, Pink Floyd, Muse, Queen, Metallica, Elton John and many more. They would gravitate towards Muse being that they were a three member band, growing up they did covers of Muse when they were very young and it turns out that they were pretty good. Now they have opened up for Muse 9 times, 4 in Mexico( where they are from) and 5 in the U.K.

Dany has said that she could not sing this song at all in the beginning. She couldn’t hit the higher notes correctly. Pau ( drummer) even suggested that they play it in a different key that Dany could sing it in. But Dany refused and just practiced over and over till she could hit those notes perfectly.

Welcome to The Warning and their fan base The Warning Army (TWA). Lots of TWA members will be dropping in with a ton of info so I'll keep it short. I'm in my mid 50s. This is the best live band I've ever experienced, the only band I've ever followed that doesn't have at least one song I dislike (they don't make filler songs), and they are some of the nicest and down to earth people I've ever met. By the way, all 3 sisters sing. I would suggest Disciple from their Teatro Metropolitan show next, or their latest OMV called Sick, or Evolve from the VMAs. Disciple lets you experience the guitarist (Dany) and drummer (Pau) trading whos singing lead. All can be found on their RUclips site. Subscribed. Do yourself a favour if you do more of them: listen to them live. Their studios are good but they KILL it live.

I'd recommend "Evolve" from the MTV VMAs or anything from the Teatro Metropólitan CDMX show. They are something else live but their newest single "S!ck" is cool too! New music out March 8!!! "Hell You Call A Dream" sounds heavy AF! Can't wait! Pau (the drummer) just won a Global award at the Decididas Summit for promoting women's leadership, gender equality, ending violence against women and promoting equal pay and opportunities for women around Latin America. Oh, and she won Drumeo's Rock drummer of the year 2023 too!
They are releasing two new songs Hell You Call A Dream (HYCAD) and a Spanish language song Qué Más Quieres on Friday, March 8th. Both are from an upcoming new album, their fourth overall. Their most recent single releases are titled MORE and S!CK. They have around 50 original songs and they have been a band for over ten years, having started out as children.

I'm sure I speak for many fans of The Warning when I describe my first reaction to hearing them. Song 1. Wow, what a great song! I wonder if they have any other good songs, but this one will be hard to follow up. Song 2. Wow, another great song! How have I not heard of this band before? Song 3. Wow! My new favorite song by them! Rinse and repeat! I was able to see them perform live within six months of first hearing them. I intend to see them again soon!

These 3 sisters are incredible. 100% recommended watching them live though, somehow they're even better than studio recordings. 2022 Teatro Metropolitan has some of the best live performance footage I've ever seen.

Really enjoyed the reaction! As others have already said, you must see them live. Any song from the Teatro Metropolitan concert in Mexico City, Aug of 2022 is phenomenal. The audio and video were professionally recorded and the quality is outstanding. I chuckled when you mentioned that playing lead guitar while singing like that is really hard. I completely agree, but wait till you see/hear Pau (the drummer) sing lead.

A really great feel for what they’re like live is their performance of their song Evolve, live at the MTV VMAs! However the best place to pick up any suggestion for them is their own RUclips channel, they’re the best quality and more likely to not have any problems with copyright infringement. Welcome to the rabbit hole. Why is it a rabbit hole? Because there's so much for you yet to explore. They've been a band for 11 years now and by the second half of that they were writing one great song after another.
One of the most amazing things about them is that despite the limitations of a trio and having a recognizable sound, every song is distinct and different.
As good as this video was, they are very much live performance band, and so in the future you can't go wrong reacting to songs from their 2022 Teatro Metropolitan live concert. The audio is at a studio level of quality and it was recorded expertly using multiple cameras.
BTW, Pau (Paulina), the drummer is also a great singer and can sing lead while playing drums. Check out Survive, Dust to Dust, and my favorite, 23.

*a little history:*
many of us (shout out to TWA aka The Warning Army!) have been following DPA/TW (Dany on guitar, Pau on drums [like "POW!"], and Ale on bass [like "Ah leh"] aka "The Warning"), three sisters from Monterrey Mexico, since or before their first videos as a band started to hit the streams back in 2012... they are, to many of us, like daughters, nieces, or grand-daughters...
DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 4 and 6 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar)... Ale (bass) was still pretty much a newborn... they all started learning and playing classical music on piano... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along... Pau, at age 6, gravitated to the drums and Dany, at age 8, took up the guitar... Ale was 7 or had just turned 8 when she chose the bass... a few months after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band...
Dany is a goofball and total guitar nerd... she has numerous guitars in her arsenal... PRS, Rick Toon Spearfish, Manson, Gibson Explorer which is a gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, and more recently, a mustard yellow Manson was given to her by Matt Bellamy of Muse, one of the band's bigger influences... DPA/TW have covered several of Muse's songs and more recently they have opened for Muse in Mexico and the UK numerous times... hearing Dany make her Mansons sing is quite the treat... especially when seeing them live... Dany is also the main lead singer for the group... she has quite a range (one vocal coach says Dany can hit D5) and can growl or put gravel in her tone when needed... she easily expresses emotions with her voice and her facial expressions drive it all home while she is singing...
Pau is a powerful force behind her drums... in her younger days, she was likened to "Animal", the drummer on The Muppets... she put her entire body into every stroke... it was quite joyful watching her in action... she has refined her form in recent times but she still has a powerful swing and a much stronger sound... some like to say that "she beats her drums like they owe her money!" LOL since she has refined her form, she also doesn't break as many sticks as she used to... when she did break one, she seamlessly replaced it without losing a beat and many times no one ever even noticed... in one of their interviews, Pau comments about having been playing the drums for 13 years... that was almost three years ago so she has almost 16 years under her belt, now... Pau also takes lead vocals on several songs while she is playing her drums as passionately as she does... there are not very many singing drummers in the world, today... she does aerobic exercises and running while singing to keep up her stamina and breath control... she's been singing while playing the drums since her early years... you can find videos of Pau doing drum covers when she is like 8 or 9 years old...
the bass was Ale's second choice, after the harp, for an instrument... they couldn't find anyone to teach her harp so the bass it is, to everyone's delight! her original 4-string bass was a 1/2 size bass which was quite big for her... later she went to a 3/4 size 4-string bass which was still pretty large... today, Ale has grown up and effortlessly carries her "Ale's Inferno" colored Spector NS-5XL 5-string with its 35 inch neck... she has been a Spector Featured Artist since she was 15 years old... she worked with the Spector team to create the coloring of the bass which they named "Ale's Inferno"... Ale has also recently acquired a blue Spector bass that she played in most of their 2023 concerts...
Ale and Dany both use Orange Amps to drive their sound but a lot of the time you will find Ale connected to an Ampeg amp attached to an 8x10 cabinet so she can feel the depth and rumble of her instrument... Dany is the same way, too... she also likes to hear and feel the sound of her guitar when she is on the stage... the sound on stage is quite different than being in the audience so having amps and cabinets on stage really helps them... the three of them, together, create a huge wall of sound that flat out pummels you when you see them live...
today the girls are 24 (Dany - Jan 30 2000), 22 (Pau - Feb 5 2002), and 19 (Ale - Dec 13 2004)... they have just released the full concert they did at the Teatro Metropolitan (Metropolitan Theater) in CDMX (Mexico City) back in Aug 2022... Mexico City (2240m, 7350ft) is higher in altitude than Denver, Colorado (1609m, 5280ft)! certainly higher than their home town of Monterrey, Mexico (540m, 1770ft)... this is mentioned because of the altitude and thin air... when doing strenuous activities, you need more air... you can find their recent Aug 2022 concert on DPA/TW's YT Videos page as individual videos of the songs or as one video of the entire concert with opening and closing BTS (behind the scenes) added... they may also have a playlist of the individuals so they can be viewed in proper setlist order... the Metropolitan Theater (Teatro Metropolitan) in Mexico City (CDMX) holds like 3500 and sold out both nights they played (Aug 26th and 29th)...
in 2014 a video of them doing a cover of Metallica's *Enter Sandman* from the "Black" album went viral... they were 14 (Dany), 12 (Pau), and 9 (Ale) years old at the time the video was uploaded to YT because it was too big to email to their grandparents and other family members... they went on vacation for a couple of weeks and came back to a viral video with their father's phone blowing up from all the notifications coming in... they did a few other covers but were also writing their own music, as well... they decided pretty early to not become known as a cover band... so they started releasing their own music...
in 2021, DPA/TW answered a call from Metallica to take a song, any song, from the "Black" album, twist it around, upside down, and backward... keep the lyrics but make it something else... DPA/TW teamed up with Alessia Cara, a Canadian Pop and R&B artist, to reimagine *Enter Sandman* as a more haunting, eerie, and dark lullaby than the metal original... they did this in 10 days, during Covid, with Alessia working from remote in Canada... today, Nov 2023, there are four renditions of *Enter Sandman* done by DPA/TW... the original true cover that went viral, the OMV of the reimagined with Alessia, DPA/TW playing it live in concert, and the latest one with an added 10-piece string section accompanying in concert... all of the concert renditions somehow come out even darker and more foreboding, bringing almost constant chills to some fans when they hear or experience it...
some huge milestones took place at the 2023 MTV VMAs... 1) The Warning were invited to play two of their songs on the Extended Stage... 2) they were the only ones to play that were not nominated for anything... 3) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the MTV VMAs... those are all quite the achievements! for the VMAs performance, there were four takes shot... two 45 second ones for broadcast and two full length ones for each of their songs, *MORE* and *Evolve* which MTV has posted to their YT channel... they were also the only ones playing on the Extended Stage to be announced on the Main Stage when their songs were played! DPA/TW have a working relationship with Pepsi in Mexico and have shot several commercials for them... this relationship plus being signed with Lava helped greatly with this milestone in their career, i'm sure...
additionally, this summer (of 2023), they were the first Mexican band to play "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park" in Germany in 20 years... they have also been invited to play at the 2024 Wacken Open Air metal festival which is also held in Germany... currently they are completing their fourth album and have just finished their "Error" World Tour which has taken them all over the Americas, the UK, and Europe...
i still can't believe it has been 10 years! it seems like only yesterday i was watching a very young Pau beating her drums into submission and then seeing videos of all three of them playing together as they started their journey...
the rabbit hole is deep and quite enjoyable! come on in, there's plenty of room for more! 😹

Very enjoyable reaction. I always love to see that "Warning Smile" creep (or dash) across people's faces as they hear them for the first time.
The interesting thing to me is that... this was not their favorite song off the album. I think I read somewhere they rated it number 10 out of 13 songs on the list. It would not have been the one they would have personally chosen as an introductory video to their newest album... but they were basically overruled by their newly signed label, Lava, for which this was the first of five albums they contracted for (their third official LP; the other two were produced independently, as was the first EP). I suppose it turns out marketing people _are_ worth something, at least if their good ones... because this vid prompted more positive responses from new listeners, who responded much like you did. Who'd a thunk it?!?
