      Put your shower on the hottest setting with your exhaust fan off. Give it 5-10 mins to get steamy and apply your protector in there.
      The steam makes dust particles hard to travel through the air.
      I've done this for years and it has always worked for me

    I just installed one. Here's a small tip to make an easy installation. After setting the screen protector into the small holder, center everything and put a small piece of scotch tape on top of the screen protector (half inch on each side) about half way up the bottom portion, both sides, and stick it to the table. This will hold the screen protector in place. Then you can install the top half without it moving. Remove the tape and install the bottom half. I had a perfect installation. No bubbles, nothing.

    • @MattPau
      @MattPau  Год назад

      This would have been so helpful! I don't think I'll use this type of screen protector again though..but for those who prefer it this way, the tape method sounds like the perfect solution!!

    I had issues with the middle section picking up dirt before laying it down on the phone. The top and bottom were perfect but the middle sticky section was trapping in dirt creating bubbles. I ruined both unfortunately. The seller reached out after my review and is sending me a replacement. Hopefully I can get it applied correctly with the new kit when it arrives. Nice video!

    I’m not sure if they have decent glass screen protectors for the S23 ultra, as it’s got a slight curved screen, but I always use glass screen protectors on my iPhones, as they offer more drop protection, and are way easier to apply, as they are rigid, not all floppy like a plastic one. You demonstrated perfectly in this video, why I hate plastic screen protectors 😂 ok it went on fine eventually, but what a hassle it was!
    Also I’ve never liked those lens protectors, as they can smudge up, and scratch over time,and hinder the camera performance. I know you’ve used Spigen, and not some cheap ass no name brand, but still, the lens on the phone are way higher quality than any lens protectors, and I’ve yet to damage a lens on my phones, from only using a case, it’s a risk I’m willing take, and I’m careful with my phones😊
    Good choice of case though, can’t go wrong with a spigen👍🏻

    • @MattPau
      @MattPau  Год назад +1

      Yeah I agree, I've always used a glass screen protector for my iPhones but since the s23 ultra has an in screen fingerprint sensor, the glass ones would hinder the sensitivity which I've read has been a problem for those who use the glass ones instead of plastic.
      And I've never used camera lens protectors before this one so it was kinda a test run for me. Never had an issue with scratching my camera lenses either. Since I won't be buying samsung care for this phone I wanted to protect it as much as I could.
      And yeah spigens a solid brand!

    for the screen protector, you have to have the lower sticky part still on the screen. you lifted it all during the installation

    • @MattPau
      @MattPau  Год назад

      When you say "lower sticky part," you're referring to the middle section where I used the squeegee, right? I noticed that as soon as I pulled it. smh...
      Unfortunately the angle where I was installing it made it difficult to install it properly. You can see in the video when I try to fix it, the phone was off screen. It was easier for me to do it as it was closer to my body. I should've changed the recording angle and installed it from a better position in the first place 🤣

    I'm planning to buy that case however I am worried that the camera lens will protrude from the case. Did it though?

    • @MattPau
      @MattPau  Год назад +1

      The camera lens protector barely protrudes from the case so without those protectors, the lenses would either be flush with the case or slightly within the case.
      Also, the lining on top of the case is slightly thicker so the lenses dont touch the surface if it's laid flat

    • @ikrvd

    Hi just wondering does this screen protector work better then the temper glass?? I have been buying the film ones but what if I jump the phone would the film protector help at all???

    • @MattPau
      @MattPau  Год назад

      It sure helps with bumping your phone, I wouldn't say it helps better than tempered tho. Probably the same but for phones with built in finger print readers, go for the filmed ones

  • @krane15
    @krane15 Год назад

    First mistake was attempting a screen application without gloves -- always wear gloves. Even washed hands have oils that will transfer to the phone leave finger prints. Watches worker at factories, they always wear gloves.
    Besides, you can't clean your phone while you're touching it. You also have to squeegee slowly in increments to prevent the bubbles. They certainly don't just "go away." Not completely.

    • @MattPau
      @MattPau  Год назад +2

      Gloves are definitely not necessary. Never used them and always had no bubbles. They may be helpful but not necessary
      And actually they did go away completely after 24 hrs

  • @PhantoJr

    I bought the cryo case from spigen along the most expensive resin screen protector and the lenses protectors and I have to say one thing.... Never again...
    I put the screen protector perfect and after 45 days bubbles formed out of nowhere in many parts of the screen.
    Put the lenses protectors and made sure the lenses and Glass was absolutely clean.... Guess what after 2 weeks dust is between lenses and lense protector 😢.
    As for the case it absolutely does nothing.... I mean it gets a lot of dust between the hexagons....
    I'm seriously done with spigen.... Nilkin was always the best.

    • @MattPau
      @MattPau  Год назад +1

      This screen protector is still bubble free after two months so maybe don't go for the expensive ones cuz this cheap one works just fine!
      And this case definitely does protect it. But I do see your same issue with the dust accumulating in the holes on the sides of the case.
