I was able to go note for note, but I couldn't get Layne's vocal tone. I'm just not built for it.

Thanks for your feedback Jim. Karaoke would imply the background music was precreated and I just sang over it. But these are real instruments being played by band members. You're right in the sense that stylistically, it's very very close to the original. IMO it's probably more of a tribute than anything else, but I was afraid of tampering with the magnificence that is AIC :)
