Yes its worth it I started drinking when I was 16 after my brother was shot in the head. All my life I dealt with everything by drinking. I was a functional alcoholic so no one ever knew. Last year I almost died in a head on collision and now I've been sober for a whole year and I just turned 50. It feels so much better dealing with reality now!!!

Answer: Yes. There's a lot of work for it, if you're in addiction. We have to "feel" and deal with life. But all the struggles & pain is worth it! April 18th, I will have 25 years clean & sober 🙏

I’m struggling with sobriety at one year sober. I’m not struggling with a desire to go back to being an idiot but I’m depressed because I’m unable to break free from desire and find inner peace. I feel like I’m not smart enough, not socially attractive enough and I don’t make enough money to do anything more then work that “W2” job, go to the gym, take my dog for walks and watch Netflix.

My advice would be to try something new this week that you would other wise not do. Have you gone kayaking, tried painting, set physical goals outside of the gym like running? As far as the socially attractive and wits go, try as hard as you can to understand that you are the director of your own movie. No one really cares about you more than you! Start writing your own narrative. Stop worrying about what every one else accepts. If you want more..go get it! The only ones not having are the ones that don’t show up to grab! You can do this!!

I'm 60 years old and have been struggling with quitting and i went 10 days earlier this month. Felt awesome only to fall off the wagon and now ready to get back on as June has 30 days and i plan to start my journey on Thursday, June 1, 2023 and i pray i can do it this time around as i'm trying to quit well over a year now after 4 decades of on and off drinking. Thanks for this video. -Bob
