    It's the great general managers that build teams. The Habs have not had anywhere near as good a one as they used to have, "the godfather",
    Sam Pollock! While he couldn't get Gilbert Perraulty, he did secure
    Guy LaFleur . . . Dryden . . . Frank Mahovlich . . . .

    In the 1960's the Candiens were the class of that decade, the flying frenchman were the ones to beat-great teams, point of view from a Hawks fan.

    RICHER!!.. MAN THAT GUY WAS AWESOME!. WHAT A PLAYER!. How many times did i see richer score from the [ BLUE LINE!]. A REAL FAST SKATER ASWELL. A great break - away player too!. Just think about how hard his shot his SLAP SHOT would be with these newer lighter hockey sticks??. He most always used a : CHIMO HOCKEY STICK: I THINK? back in the day.

    Well maybe it's because in the good ol' days the Montréal Canadiens were actually consisted of players from Québec while now the players are bought from American teams.
