- The Ritz-Carlton hotel credit card has too much value with it. The benefits and credits alone will severely outweigh the annual fee every year (as long as you stay at Marriotts).
Despite what the name suggests you can receive the full value from this card without staying at Ritz-Carlton hotels. If you are a Marriott fan and travel often, this card will elevate your hotel experience and give you solid value at the same time. Additionally the Chase Ritz-Carlton credit card comes with solid perks like priority pass restaurant benefits and primary car rental insurance.
The only downside about this card is that you can't directly apply for it. Chase has discontinued applications for the Ritz-Carlton card but I will show you how to still get one.

I have the Ritz card. The 85K cert got me a $1,254 hotel in Hawaii. The $300 incidental got me Alaska+ lounge membership for $250...that includes American Admirals Club lounges. The PP gets me free massages at Be Relax, naps at Minute Suites, and great restaurants, none of which AX or C1 provide. I added 5 authorized users, who enter PP lounges in Europe and the Americas.

The Ritz Card is definitely a gem that is underrated partly because the only way to get it now, is to product change! The flexibility with the Travel Credit definitely seems like it could be super useful, and that you don't have to specifically choose one airline. 85K Marriott Certificates are dang valuable toooo. The Ritz Card definitely has a ton of value and thanks for going over all the benefits Chase, great video as always!

One year ago on 10/5/23 I got a Marriott Bountiful Card annual fee $250.. this wasn't a bad card as I normally stay 50-60 nights a year and you get 1000 points per stay.. anyway.. I called in 2/3 times to upgrade after the one year anniversary and they were not able to do it.. but after 3 weeks it was allowed.. Ritz Card showed up last week. Should be a great card for us!

So there’s a reason that the ritz card is competitive with the J.P. Morgan Reserve card and that is because they are both not chase cards but J.P. Morgan. And as such they both get access to the J.P. Morgan Concierge which is on par with the Amex Centurion Concierge
Even though I don't usually stay at Marriott properties, this card is so good that it is worth going through the process to get the Ritz-Carlton card even if you only stay at Marriotts a couple times a year. Easily positive value!

I love this card. Just got my 85k cert after product changing a year ago and using it at the St Regis in NYC this winter. Room is well over $1,000 per night, so great value there. I use my $300 for seat upgrades and airline wifi. I may go for Brilliant next year after it has been 2 years since having the ritz, but I'll have to downgrade it then upgrade, which Chase may not love.

You are right about this card. My fiance and I has it together for about 5-6 years now. So far this year I used the certificate for a 950.00 night at the Ritz-Carlton Central Park NY. I already used up my travel credits with luggage check ins and seat upgrades upto now with my travels. This year so far I've done 4 lounges and 2 restaurants thru priority Pass. And last I already have 2 upcoming stays at Ritz-Carltons in Denver and Miami in October that I already applied my club level upgrades. Those savings per night with the upgrades is 200 at one property and 400 at the other. Sweet!!!!!
damn you and your fiancé are really milking all the benefits/credits from this card 🔥 I'd love to get that much value from this card when I eventually get it. Have fun on those upcoming trips!
Also I forgot to mention earlier this year when I visited Myrtle Beach SC i rented a car for 4 days and utilized the primary liability insurance from the card saving me some extra cash.
Although this card will be in my wallet at some point , I still believe the Hilton aspire is creme de la creme. Great video Chase , nice talking to you at the Vegas meetup!

Even though I’m new in my credit journey, the ritz card manage to make it on my list. Going to start from the bottom and work my way up (1.Bold 2.Boundless 3.ritz hopefully)

Def need to wait 12 mos before requesting the product change. The extra day is a good idea. I waited to get the 35K FNA from my boundless to post first. That's the whole point of the boundless. And then Chase was able to refund my Boundless AF as well.

Question: I am going to product change my Bonvoy BOLD card to Ritz Carton - after that plan to apply to Bonvoy Brilliant - Can I simultaneously have both Chase Ritz Carlton & AMEX Marriott cards ? Or Mutually exclusive - Only 1 or the other? Need advise before applying!
You can have the other Marriott cards and the Ritz Carlton card!
Does it matter where you move the credit limit from?? For instance, can I move it from an Amazon prime card??
Yes as long as its a personal card to a personal card. or Business card to business card.
Thinking about changing to the RC card from my Boundless that I’ve had from when it was just a Marriott card. Could I then apply for a new boundless and get another 15 reward nights and the free night award?
After the product change I believe you can apply for the Boundless card and get the SUB if you have not received a welcome bonus for it in the last 24 months.
Ask a savvy Chase banker about that. Sometimes it’s 48 months.

Hey Chase quick question, you mentioned that authorized users of the Ritz-Carlton credit card have free global entry/TSA Pre-Check and priority pass. I knew about the priority pass but did not know that authorized users also get a credit of their own for global entry/TSA Pre-Check. Can you verify this? Thanks!
I don't have any personal experience with it but all the sources i've read online say that Global Entry is NOT covered for authorized users. So I would follow that information (although I am aware that someone commented on this video saying they got their authorized user covered).
For Chase apply the rule 5/24. Now, for American Express , Capital One and American Bank is the same rule 5/24 ??????????????????????????

I've had this card for about 5-6 years now.
I was able to get my fiance TSA global entry credit as an authorized user with the Ritz-Carlton Card.
Hmm, I don’t have this card on my radar, but it is value packed for the right person. I think I’d prefer the HH Aspire. Gotta love the CC community for outlining the runaround process to be able to get this card 😂.
Oh ya. The aspire card is still so beautiful *chef's kiss*. Im just hoping Amex will be nice to it when the inevitable nerf comes along.
Trying to decide between the Hyatt business or a PC to the Ritz card. Currently Bonvoy gold member. I'll stay a minimum of 135 nights in 2024 plus vacations. Marriot hotels are wearing me out. Some are awful
May i ask why the Hyatt Business versus the Hyatt personal? And will the Hyatt footprint be sufficient enough for your travel?

@@ChaseYokoyama and I'm not sure if their footprint is enough. Munich and Frankfurt are my main cities and Munich only has one Hyatt. It's in my favourite location. I guess I'll learn? I'm gold with Marriott but they don't have very good or convenient hotels in Munich
I just got my Marriott Boundless with plans to acquire this in a year, but I may wait at least 24 months so that I can get the AMEX Marriott Brilliant first since per Stan the Credit Frog stated that the SUB will not be given for the AMEX Marriott Brilliant if I have the Ritz card...so get the Brilliant 24 months after the Boundless then shortly thereafter product change to the Ritz. (I think that's what he said was in the small print.) That's something to consider. I would mainly get the expensive Brilliant for the annual free 85K room and the SUB, of course. I just have to decide if waiting another 12 months is worth it.
It's a $300 travel credit, i always use it for my Marriott stays

This card is decent but the amex brilliant is better. Especially if u care about marriott status.
im looking forward to using the brilliant to help me get titanium status next year. That's part of the reason why I wanted it first before the Ritz-Carlton card

as long as its a personal (not business card) there is no limit

its a product change. so it wont take your slot. if you already have marriott boundless you can go for the upgrade even at 5/24
See I love this card and want it but I guess I would rather chase after status and might do the Amex card instead because of the platinum status and 25 nights. If the ritz had those two for $450, it’s a no brainer
truee that platinum status comes in handy on the brilliant. and those 25 night credits are great to chase after titanium status. I have the brilliant card now and am eager to use it more frequently later this year

Why promote a card whose credits are so hard to use? No it is not one of the most powerful!
yes I can see how certain people will have a hard time using those credits. However I believe users that the Ritz carlton card target will get exceptional value from it.

you can put the 300$ in United Travel Bank every year if you have no use for it :]
