      To be honest, I'm not entirely sure, but I think I read it somewhere. Definitely something to look in to. It's hard because since this is a discontinued card, information is sometimes not up to date. If Chase CS said that this credit isn't covered on authorized users, then maybe it isn't. Let me look into this further. I can probably look through the pamphlet from the box as well as I may be able to find it in there. Thanks for bringing this up Rodrigo!!

      @@TheCreditFrogno problem. I saw the same information some months back from another RUclipsr so I gave it a shot for my wife’s GE (she’s my au) and there was no credit so I reached out to chase/ritz and they said it didn’t cover it. Hope that helps man

      @@emilio44 Thanks for calling as well! Tbh, it's hard to trust CS from any bank when you ask them questions so IMO, the only way to really know is if there a specific data points that people have confirming that the credit is on the card. I think the question though, is if the AUs get their own TSA Pre/GE credit. It's definitely an active benefit for the primary user.

      Thanks! Glad to hear that you’re enjoying the content. If your only goal is to have the most comprehensive lounge access for family members on one card, the RC is the way to go! The only issue is the lack of PP restaurants, which are getting dropped next month, and the RC card doesn’t get you access to the Sapphire Terrace lounge in AUS. The CSR is a better travel card since it has 3X dining/travel, but maybe you have a card that covers those when you’re traveling?

I was under the impression it takes 8-12 weeks after card anniversary to receive the FNC. Thoughts?

    • @TheCreditFrog
      @TheCreditFrog  Год назад +1

      Thanks! Yeah, so it's going to depend on how fast you want to go. After getting the Bonvoy Boundless card, you'll get a 35k FNA whenever they get it to you, you can go ahead and use it, and then once you've used it, you can then product change to the Ritz Carlton card with no issues, but you won't get that 85k FNA from the Ritz card for at least another year. So if you're on the path to get that 85k FNA, best to just change it right at 12 months, but if you don't mind waiting, it's probably better value to get the 35k FNA, use it, and the PC to Ritz after you've redeemed it so they can't take it back, hah!

However, I have all the Amex Bonvoy cards: Brilliant, Business, and Personal (the last two were formerly my SPG cards). Since I'm grandfathered into Amex Bonvoy Personal, does that mean I'm excluded from getting the Boundless's sign up bonus? It has been 24+ months since I opened any of these cards. Great videos by the way, really useful and clear info.

    • @TheCreditFrog
      @TheCreditFrog  Год назад +1

      Thank you so much! So in terms of your situation, the easiest way to figure this out is to go to the Chase Bonvoy Boundless page and look at their terms and conditions regarding their SUB. The only thing that I think may be an issue is the clause where it says you won't get the SUB if you "currently HAVE or HAD any of the following cards in the last 30 days: Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card, The Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express". If your previous SPG card is one of the two cards I mentioned above, then you would have to close that Amex card and wait 30 days in order to get the Bonvoy Boundless SUB.

    • @eridium
      @eridium Год назад

      @@TheCreditFrog Thanks Stan, I believe you're right. I'm not sure it's worth canceling my Amex Bonvoy Personal card to get the Boundless SUB. The referral SUB seems to be 3x 50,000 point FNAs, which is lucrative, but I want to have the Amex Personal for the long-run, annual 35k FNAs. And to get another Bonvoy Personal, I'd have to product change my Brilliant to Personal and then open a new Brilliant. Seems like too much opening and closing of accounts. I don't want to get in trouble with any of the issuing banks. Guess I'll just get the Boundless with no sign-up and convert to Ritz in a year. Interesting and complex procedure, but worth the effort!

      The biggest feature is that this card is primarily for those who stay at Marriott properties, like you mentioned. The other cards on your list are all flexible point earnings cards that can be transferred out to transfer partners and are probably best to start out with your first travel card. If this is your first travel card, I think the CSP would be the best value as you get access to transfer partners and some elevated benefits for a modest annual fee. The VX is also another option if you don't mind a higher annual fee, but don't mind using the C1 travel portal for the $300 statement credit.

I asked Chase CS directly about this question, and they said that going from Bold card to Ritz card is fine, even when applying and getting approved for the Bold card first. As Boundless is the much better card, I don't think that many people will get the Bold first to go to Ritz anyways, but as I mentioned in this video, I PC'ed from Bold to Ritz with no issues, but yes, that Bold card was a Boundless card a few years ago, which was the original form of that card.

      @@TheCreditFrog I get a platinum from my company and they pay the fees, I was actually looking to cancel my ritz since I don’t use it much. But I still have a good amount of nights free. So probably will after I use all those nights up.

    Can anyone confirm that the Ritz card gives authorized users their own tsa precheck?

      Stan, a question for you about the $300 Travel (Airline) credit. Is it the same as Amex that you have to select a specific airline? Or can you use this credit with multiple airlines till you hit the $300 credit?

    • @TheCreditFrog
      @TheCreditFrog  Год назад +1

      @@Leoprieto74 I’m fairly certain that you don’t have to select one airline and you can use this credit n multiple airlines without issue. I need to look at the terms to see if there are any exceptions for certain domestic or international options though.
