This is just the right amount of Wes Anderson vibe.
Just when I didn't think I could love Jack Forster anymore...
Explains why you are still picking those narly grey, white and black pubes from your teeth and why your face always look sad - Jack oral loving has taken its toll. Hey that’s what your mom told me during pillow talk - best $50.00 I ever spent an a night of loving
The intro alone makes me love this video.
To hear Jack on anything is well worth it! I’m a fan.
On another note: that 1803 on Jack‘s wrist ♥️
What a nice touch from Ben 👏
This is fun. Jack is great, the least 'internet' person on the internet.
More of this please. I could listen to Jack talk about just about anything
I love this new series already! Jack has to be one of the most knowledgeable watch guys in the world, let alone the industry. Great video, great guy, love it. My only problem so far is that this could have easily been a 10 minute video to get through more questions. Can’t wait for more episodes soon! Now to think it’s the perfect horological question 🤔.
Just get the Speedmaster 57 titanium and you are all good. 4 years of ownership, love it.
I love this series. We need more Jack.
This is one of my new favorite videos from Hodinkee. I think I already knew all of this stuff, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching it anyway.
For the first time in a while, I actually made the grave effort to click that thumbs up button.
Great video, so much useful info in such a short format! keep'em coming!
Do these regularly! Love hearing these great facts.
Love that Jack is wearing his new gold watch!
Oh My! I just got a customised HMT with a California dial 3 days back just because it was so cool to have 4 different kind of hour markers on the same dial and was wondering why was it called so. Thank God that the balance in the world (and my mind) has been restored!
This was great. More of this content please!
This is great content for the donkee! God bless jack and his beautiful brain!
This was awesome, please do more.
That grey cardi is perfect.
Excellent 😀 and fantastic to see the Day-date on your wrist 👌🙏
Finally! An answer to the same question I had about the California dial!
Great video! Giving watch advice is not easy, and I thank you for going beyond the all-too-common, cowardly “it depends on what you like” answer.
Loved it ❤️
Very informative, thanks!
Vibe on this is amazing
Liking the vibe
This is Brilliant.
How have I not ever heard of this series of videos until after Mr. Forster moved on from HODINKEE? Well I guess I’ll just watch as many as exist. So much for Mr. Forster’s role as Sisyphus.
whoa what an intro!!
Please keep this up :)
Amazing! But why so short? 10 to 15 minutes would be great! Great job!
4:05 Got to love those rare "Error Proof Raduim Dials"
I'm sure that 40% of Hodinkee's valuation comes from Jack's work. Please keep up the good work Jack!
Let’s see more of this please.
Thanks, Sisyphus!
This should be a weekly installment. Great stuff. And Jack is hilarious
Revise the meaning if "hilarious" and kindly edit your comment.

We need more Jack! Specially trying comedy.
Jack, you gave an overview of the Omega Speedmaster movements, but never differentiated the various Speedmaster models. Some start at 4 figures and then go much higher (not counting the Snoopy you teased that is NOT available). I would love to see a deeper dive as to what differentiates the myriad of options on the Speedmaster line. There seems to be so many options that I have no idea which one I would choose, so I bought a Seamaster 300M instead. I hope you can do a follow-on video sharing your knowledge on the Speedmaster.
THAT DAY-DATE IS KING! ;)
Thanks. Why the Rolex poster call the California dial in "Error-Proof Raduim dial" , the Raduim wording is spelling in R-A-D-U-I-M?
love how it says „error proof“ just before the spelling error on RADIUM on the rolex poster shown😂
I would love one of those new Snoopy models with the animated case back
Quick update: the cal. 3861 Speedmaster went to space just a few days ago on the wrists of the Blue Origin crew.
What do you recommend for a sporty annual calendar watch?
More Jack please
I never knew that about the California dial!!! I wonder why Rolex doesn’t own that more!
Hey Hodinkee! I travel regularly around the world, staying in many fine hotels. Unfortunately, I find the standard clocks in these suites to be woefully distasteful and - appallingly - all quartz. Do you have any product recommendations at the $6000 mark? Something portable? Mechanical? Okay, ciao!
Probably best to email in like they say on the video 🤷🏻♂️

You’ll need to save up some more. They’re sold out and bound to command a premium? It is a HODINKEE after all.

Funny!
Thoughts on the Timepiece Gentleman? hahaha! jk this is good stuff
So I was watching this, and my daughter came barging in. She saw the Snoopy and was instantly smitten.
I could tell her she really needs to finish Law-school in order to be able to afford one.....

I wish HODINKEE forces you to roll the boulder of horology inquiries up the hill for eternity 🤣
Got to pick the reference that matches your Leica, eh Jack? 😉
Brief appearance of the yellow gold DayDate under the cuff. Jack is the Boss.
What do you think of the apollo 8 dark side of the moon?
Hey Hondinkee, should I get the 007 edition?
Hey it was good…
I love you
is it bad to leave ur watch unwound in a long period of time?
Are the Crown & Caliber video wizards helping out? This has a very similar vibe to their stuff. Which is good... their content is super enjoyable.
Protect Jack Forster at all costs!
Jack Forster is the goat
Hey, why haven't y'all mentioned the 861?
Seeing how Rolex did an error dial for the latest Airkings, with 9 - 9, I can see what California dials are error proof dials.
Better that than having the PR flacks pecking out your liver!

Pick the Ultraman ST2, buy and fit a new 1970's style 1171/633 omega bracelet and VOLA! The perfect speedy
X-33 Gen 2 and forget about it :)
1861 for me
A Mark ii, which was actually designed with improvements to better perform in space. But no, nasa didn’t like newfangled gadgets and preferred to stick with what they knew.
watch number is like an internet ip address, imagine each computer decides to name their own ip address...
You cant find the perfeckt Speedmaster Reference, because, they released 2 new Versions since I started watching this video
Pick the one they went to the moon…or the modern equivalent. No auto, no sapphire.
What a gangster he is
Still waiting for my Snoopy paid the AD in full 🙄
I never heard anyone call the 321 the Three Twenty One.
Good God, that's my day, minus the watches.
barn
caras voice sounds different...
Jack trying to force choke everyone in the thumbnail. Apparently finds our lack of faith disturbing?
There is a reason that California is called the land of fruit and nuts. Nothing is more nuttier on a watch dial then mixing Roman and arabic numerals on a dial. Hence it is a “California” dial! IMHO.
Really didn’t mention 861???
bezos wore a 3861 hesalite on his flight
Yes deeply unfortunate. :/
Guys, should we literally all just pitch in to send Jack to space? I think we could easily make that happen
