This is a video that shows the professionalism and care that was taken by the Tasmanian Police and The Hobart Towing & Recovery Company as they diligently and cautiously brought Dale home after 6+ years. It is a testament to a job well done which shows a true picture in time of what it takes to bring a person home who has been missing in their vehicle under water.
This video shows the proper way to preserve evidence, gather facts, and complete a difficult recovery of a vehicle underwater... and keep it intact and whole. We were so moved by the care that the Tasmanian police took in THE PULL that we wanted to produce a video that showed the compassion, care, diligence, and professionalism that was shown to not only the family, but to Dan and Bill before, after, and during the recovery.
Every emergency personnel, OIC, police officer, investigator, detective, diver, towing operator, forensics official worked together tirelessly, flawlessly, professionally and with great compassion as a TEAM for the family, and we wanted to thank them for all that they did that SUNDAY Evening with a video that celebrates all their hard work.

Becoming a Member helps Dan and Bill and the Down-Under Team stay on the road and on the water in the search for additional missing persons in Australia who are missing with their automobiles. (Trent Mckechnie, Michelle Pope, Stephen Lapthorne, Penelope Smith, Sean,Sergeant William Wayne Steinhardt, Allan Bentley, Nicola Salesse, and Tej Chitins)
Dan and Bill and the Down-Under Recovery Team have located over 400 cars so far in the rivers and lakes of Australia that all need to be pulled and cleared fully and we estimate there are 1000's of vehicles and many are in very very difficult areas and waters. We would like to get them all out of the rivers before 2030.
Many of these vehicles are directly under bridge crossings at boat ramps, where as, if an adult or child jumps off the bridge or water pipe to stay cool during the summer this potentially could have a catastrophic outcome because of the close proximity of these vehicles to the bridges, not to mention the major possibility of bodily injury to jet skiers and boaters alike.

Protect the values less chance of damage when going into tight spots

Do the scuba tanks always face upside down due to being below the equator or just their preferences?
That’s just the twin tank set up less chance of damage to the valves on recovery
And i feel that female police officer put herself in the kill zone if that cable snapped 😮

Everyone involved in Dale's search and recovery did a wonderful job. Without Downunder Dan and Bill's willingness to get out there, spending countless hours searching, a question mark would still be on the blank page in the Nicholson family's book. Great job guys, Dale is now home. ❤🦘
A question Dan??? What would be the reasoning for a diver having his air tanks on his BCD upside down as opposed to upright? The only thing I can think of is possibly easier access to the valves. I would appreciate your opinion please.❤🦘
Just the twin tank set up it also protects the valves with this type of diving
