Hey O’l Buddy!! So glad to see you again. Keep smiling because you never know where that roller coaster is going to take you. I am very interested in the property in Maine. I am looking myself. I want the ocean but can only afford the woods so I will keep working. Hope to see you on the water, O’l buddy.
So nice to know your back, although I've just discovered your channel a few months ago i was wondering why so few videos. And btw the sea stories and simple the best. Looking forward to learning more and hearing more sea stories. Thanks
Teri, thank you so much for your comment! I do feel blessed and sometimes can’t get the smile off my face as I’m riding along. (and it’s supposed to be work) please let me know if you don’t understand something. Thanks again!
Hey, Capt. Shawn. Glad to get an update from you. Looking forward to the content from you in the near future. Don't put us off too long, or you may lose interest in the process of YouTubing. I hope not. Fair sails and calm water. Regards.
I’m going to be straight up with you. I love making these videos, I love training people who want to learn (I certainly do) and I have received so many awesome comments and compliments. But every now and then I get a comment that sidelines me. I’d like to think I’ve got thicker skin or I’m tougher than that. Truth be told, it’s hard to re-secure your belt and get back at it. Enough whining - thanks again for commenting and I have plenty more coming!
Brenda, thank you so much for your comment! The short answer to your question is a definite yes. I’m working on some training aids that will help me get my point across easier. I also have an idea to do a “ride along” segment which is just pressing record while I’m at work and voice over what’s going on. Yesterday I towed a boat from Cape Cod to almost the Connecticut border for a friend and I encountered some interesting seas on the way home. Kind of a missed teaching opportunity. Thanks again!!!
Welcome back, we appreciate that life takes you in different directions. Sea stories, white boards, whatever come along is going to be interesting. Out here in the California delta we are always looking for content to use in our Sea Scout Ships. So here’s a big Bravo Zulu from SSS 317, Delta Mariner, in Suisun CA where we’re operating a 39’ twin engine power boat, a Cal 31 sailboat, and several small craft. USCG Stations Rio Vista, Vallejo, and Yerba Buena of Coast Guard Sector San Francisco are familiar stomping grounds. A annual Safety at Sea is coming up soon at Sta Yerba Buena.
Wow, closed to my beginnings. I was recruited into the Coast Guard out of the Fresno office and went to boot camp on Fire Island in Oakland - Alameda. I did most of my growing up in a little town outside Visalia called Woodlake. I appreciate the warm welcome back. Let me know if the kids have any special requests! Preview those sea stories prior to sharing them with the kids, we’ve got sailor’s, jail guards and inmates in some of them. LoL
It´s good to see you back! I'm from Spain. I'm looking forward to seeing more videos. Can I suggest one of anchoring? I'm really looking forward to hearing those stories as well. Thanks for your time
Thank you so much on so many different levels!!! Spain , just blows my mind. I’ve got some good stuff coming your way and I would be honored to do an anchoring video for you!
Glad to see you are back in the saddle. Keep those videos coming. The New England coast is beautiful but I like warmer water. Living on the Coast of SC and also enjoying the beautiful rivers. Enjoy your family as you embark on another chapter. Cheers! 0:050:05
NH is looking for marine patrol officers or they were , and you don't have to be a police officer. Lake Winnipesaukee is beautiful. And fairly big and lots to do. Maybe take a ride over to check it out. Either way Always check with wife first I made that mistake not to once , And once only.
I love New Hampshire! My in-laws had a cabin in Thornton a couple exits below Lincoln. Now we have a timeshare at, of all places “Pollard Brook”. The Lakes region is one of my favorites. We alway try to catch lunch at the Common Man in Meredith. We looked at property on Sugar Hill a couple years ago but never pulled the trigger. Thank you so much for your thoughts and your comment!
@@boattrainingonline6561the common man is in the church point landing , I've never tried it there.but have stayed there. They in the past put on a great NYE party with live bands huge buffet fireworks and snow permitting sleigh rides. We love winni and our 2003 regal 3860 our first overnight boat we always had a day boat. I found your channel because I'm struggling with twin inboards docking. Even though I started out 55 yrs ago with canoeing I worked my way up . It's odd just using shifters only. But with your advice we're getting there
I'm so glad you're doing something you love now! That's amazing!!!
