I’m so glad you talked about higher percentages of ingredients in products and how it’s not about that one ingredient but how everything works synergistically. When you said that I immediately thought of the Ordinarys 30 percent BHA AHA peel (the one that looks like blood lol) and Paulas Choice 20 percent Niacinamide booster/ serum (?). I think sometimes brands formulate products because of what you said, that people think higher percentages means better product or better efficacy, and they know we think that so they do it. Sometimes you need a lower percentage for an ingredient to do what it’s meant to like niacinamide which 4 percentage is all you need to help combat over production of sebum and help shrink the appearance of pores. Any higher than that and it may not work at all or be too much of what it’s meant to do. Same thing applies to chemical exfoliants. We think “oh lemme get the strongest most heavy duty exfoliator so I can really clean my skin” and that’s the worst thing you could do imo. I’m very guilty of doing that and know I shouldn’t lol. Anyways sorry for rambling. Loved this video and your channel. ❤️
So much yes! I'm so glad that landed, it's something that many of us don't realize and it's super important to understand from a marketing standpoint and a skin safety/health standpoint too!
I experienced this exact thing with the ordinary's niacinamide serum. It was so hyped up by Hyram and James Welsh so I tried it, but for some reason it just didn't agree with my skin. Then I found out it's 10% niacinamide, when most studies proving the efficacy of niacinamide indicate 2-5% is sufficient. No wonder!
I love the Skinfood Proplis Esssence, so much that i bought 2 backups ! (i panicked when i saw that most online stores in Germany don't have it in stock at the moment) This or that on Retinol products for sensitive skin/begginers would be great .
On top of the products mentioned in this video, the Cosrx Propolis toner and Cosrx Propolis Light moisturizer are wonderful products too. Just thought I’d throw that out there as a suggestion. ☺️
COSRX just reformulated their Honey Mask. It now does contain Honey in it. The packaging is also changed. They now call it the Propolis Honey Overnight Mask. The ingredients are a little different now too. Propolis is still the #1 ingredient but they also added Honey Extract and Royal Jelly Extract. I actually really love this new version even more than the first one!

Btw i didn’t skip the ads to help your channel. You definitely helped my skin. Especially the missha artemisia essence and benton deep green tea toner. Also the illiyoon ato ceramide cream is a skin saver when on tretinoin. Good job kelly, thank you for being honest and sincere in your recommendations. God bless.
My favourites in this or that are the Cosrx light ampoule, wishtrend propolis (as I very rarely get pimples and don’t get marks) and the iunik vitamin mask. All products I have bought because of you, and I am really happy with them. I mainly use them as a complementary product to my retinol routine, perfect combo 👌🏻. Stay safe and sane with lots of love from Australia ❤️😊
Kelly, I love your 'This or That' videos but I wish you would also mention the product you would personally go for with every single product comparison (or a final ranking of all the products at the end of the video would be great too). As someone with a mostly normal skin-type, the feel/texture of skincare doesn't matter to me as much - so your preference would definitely be helpful in making a final decision while shopping.
I’ve been using propolis for few months now and I LOVE it! My more oily combo skin seems so much more balanced nowadays. And I just got your wishtrend box so I’m excited to try that wishtrend ampule
Out of these I've just used the Coxrx overnight sleeping mask and find it less hydrating than the rice one. The light gel texture rather than a cream doesn't seem to be enough for my dry skin in winter, but it was good in summer

Love this video. Your in-depth reviews really showcase what a solid skincare review should be: ingredients breakdown, and not just the advertised actives but other ingredients as well to see how they play with each other; then texture review; then finally whether the claimed effects match up with usage. So holistic and well done, because I actually end up learning more about different ingredients from you (eg, H Cordana Extract) but I'm not restricted just to the ingredients label review alone. Its everything. Also, I've been using the COSRx Propolis Ampoule for a while. Not super impressed personally, and I think its because you're right: while it has propolis, this is more moisturizing than anti-acne per se. Will definitely look into Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum or Wishtrend's Polyphenols in Propolis ampoule next. Thanks again, Kelly! :)

I squealed So high I scared a few of my cats, this is brilliant. I have just opened my CosRx ampule and I’m floored at the texture, I wanted it to replace my hyaluronic acid/hydrating serum (because I think with the amount of products that have at least sodium Hyaluronate it is a bit redundant of me to also have an exclusively HA serum) it’s so light! Well, maybe not light, but it’s so no sticky! I was using the CosRx HA essence and that was sticky and felt like I was wearing cling film. I was wondering if I should get the skinfood one when I’m done with this because bigger bottle lol but I think I’m going to stick to CosRx and its calming ingredients, I have the propolis toner for some honey. Oof, I got excited for the niacinamide + propolis combo and I can’t use that serum because it’s a minefield of allergies for me with the cocoa seed and the tamanu oil. I have never used the iunik mask but this summer I had some very thick leftover “winter” moisturiser (the FAB ultra repair cream) and what I did was use the CosRx honey mask to mix in with my moisturiser for during the day, it still felt nourishing and comfortable but not suffocating.
The coxrx definitely has a more pleasing texture than HA serums but similar in it's abilities to protect the skin, really glad you're enjoying it! Love that tip about the moisturizer and sleeping mask combo!

I have been waiting for such video ever since you made ‘propolis for all skin types’ video. I have been researching on stocking up products on thanksgiving and this video really helped. Thank you Kelly!
Hi! I'm debating between the skinfood one & the wishtrend one. What would you recommend? Do I need both or is it better to start with one of them first?
I had an interesting moment with propolis. I've used it for years but a month ago I had to use antibiotics and have a contrast x-ray. A few days after that I used propolis and my skin went crazy. I got rashes from head to toes! Just keep that in mind 😁 can't wait til I can start using those products again.
Mhh really dont know which one to try the wishtrend or the skinfood. Got sensitive combo skin blackheads prone. I heard the wishtrend should clog the pores
Yay, I needed this! 🙌🏽 Really wanna try the ByWishtrend serum, and just ordered the iUnik propolis mask, let's see how it goes (currently dealing with TRET face lol). THANK U QUEEN❤
Kelly I'm curious what your thoughts are on "slugging"? Especially for people like us with dehydrated skin. Whenever I use anything too occlusive my face gets hot and dry feeling
I always used slugging but just with my normal moisturizer or a lil bit thicker moisturizer.. i put it in layer, around 4 time to achieve the thickness I'm comfortable based on the day...it's work wonderful
I’m loving the wishtrend propolis. I got my wish trend box and ripped open the propolis and in two days my flamed up hormonal acne all went down it was amazing. Do you use it on your entire face ? I’ve been just using it on my chin area kinda like a spot treatment.
Hi Kelly I would like really good K beauty recs per skin type individual videos. Everything from very oily problematic skin to super dry irritated skin. Which ingredients are best for each and the best textures thereby including product recommendations. I have severely dry skin prone to eczema and all the moisturisers you have recommended for dry/dehydrated skin haven't been enough rich moisture. I have had some wonderful recommndations from you eg the Laneige cream skin refiner, the purito sunscreen I love so much etc. For example I like the Illyoon well enough during the warmer months at night or as a daycream in the Winter, but need something much richer for Winter in the evening. Last Winter I used the Pyunkang Yul intense moisturiser under a layer of body cream or sleeping mask at night which worked fairly well. I think dedicated videos re skin type would be useful for having excellent recs in the one place and make navigating the world of K beauty much easier for many people. Best wishes.
I wanted to use beauty of jeoson glow serum , but now i am puzzled as it contains tamanu oil , and i have combination , sometimes oily , acne prone sensitive skin .Should I use this or not ????
Hey kelly....love u,I never miss ur vedio .my skin is very dry dehydrated,I stay in dry area.i am new to k beauty...I ordered beauty of joson but the smell is unbearable...plz advise for fragrance free moisturizer
Hey Kelly. Since cosrx has Now reformulated honey propolis sleeping mask do you still feel iunik honey mask is still better than that ? Wats your thoughts ?
is it okay if i already used 10% niacinamide serum & still used other niacinamide product? am tempting to buy iunik vitamin sleeping mask but it contains niacinamide too will it be ok?
If your skin can tolerate it, why not? As for me, I enjoy TO Niacinamide but I want to reduce the products that I use so instead of a stand alone niacinamide, I am looking for products with niacinamide, multi-purpose products.
@@aubreybondoc because im afraid too much niacinamide will cause side effects that i dont want. anyway ive got a new insight thanks to youu!! might as well search for niacinamide in products rather than its own, i think that way is more convenient for meee
10% is already the highest concentration of niacinamide you can purchase so I’d definitely be wary of piling more onto that. Luckily it does appear to a few humectants/emolliants as well as centella (which should be calming to the skin) listed ahead of the niacinamide along with a few other ingredients if you do decide to try it, it won’t be the worst reaction. It might just be worth looking into a another sleeping pack tho.
This iunik mask broke me out. Usually I don't have pimples/spots, but I have sensitive skin. Any idea on what could cause this? I also got it from the Centella unscented sun SPF50+ a few weeks ago :(
The second ingredient in the Centella sunscreen also happens to be the third ingredient in the iUnik mask, and that is Butylene Glycol which is a humectant. (which just means it draws in and binds surrounding moisture) & emollient (meaning it creates a protective barrier prevent the loss of moisture) For many people this is beneficial, but for a select others it can end up contributing to clogged pores and irritation. Perhaps you’re sensitive to it or the products were just heavy on the skin barrier? I don’t know if this is what might of caused your breakouts but it seemed like the most likely looking at the ingredient list. 😅Other possibilities a little lower down in the middle of both lists are niacinamide & cetearyl alcohol but I would think those are more irritating/drying than they are acne inducing.
i tried the skinfood essence and i found many times it felt super oily and just seemed to sit on top of my skin. i have dry/normal skin... did anyone else feel this way? everyone loves it so i'm not sure if it was just the batch i got.
I've been binge watching your videos and I love your content. I don't think you've done a this or that for mugwort in general, green tea and rinse off vs sleeping mask. Thank you!
I wanted to buy the Skinfood serum, but then I found this review and I'm unsure if it really does have that mych propolis. I mean it makes sense, if it does have 63% propolis, shouldn't it have a darker colour? This is what one user had to say: "I am a skincare products insider. Here's what I know. Most Propolis extract sold as a component for formulas is literally 2-3% Propolis extract and 90+% glycerin (that's concentrated propolis powder reconstituted with glycerin or tiny amount of propolis in alcohol mixed with mostly glycerin. But here's the kicker: the INCI name can still be Propolis extract and the company can add 63% of this extract that is mostly glycerin and sell it to you as propolis extract. But ask yourself: Can a dark brown propolis at 63% look clear? NO. The product is ALL glycerin. You're paying $39 for GLYCERIN. I'm so tired of these lies. I have another propolis serum and that one is at least pale yellow/brown - which tells me that it has more than 2% propolis in it. Never buy a CLEAR product and assume there's anything in it but filler." Anyone can clear this up for me?
Hi try centella it's very calming. Having a constantly red face can be an early sign of rosacea so speak to your doctor, but meantime try azelaic acid (the ordinary and garden of wisdom do budget ones). I have rosacea and eczema so redness is a major concern for me. Centella works for some instant redness reduction from a slight reaction to a product etc, but azelaic acid is the best on stubborn redness. If you only want K beauty recs then the Isntree tw bifida serum has given some redness reduction - more than propolis. Hope that helps.

I have been waiting for such video ever since you made ‘propolis for all skin types’ video. I have been researching on stocking up products on thanksgiving and this video really helped. Thank you Kelly!
The By wishtrend propolis ampoule contains witch hazel which could be a potential irritant especially for sensitive skin.
This or that? How about ALL OF THEM! haha I love Propolis and what it does for my skin.
I bought the Skinfood propolis because of you and I'm so glad!
Hello Kelly,
Is propolis ok to pair with vitamin c ?
Thank you for your time
I love the pro polis light ampole ! ❤️
I have tried slugging with baseline but it makes my face so hot. I like the idea though cause I have dry skin
I always used slugging but just with my normal moisturizer or a lil bit thicker moisturizer.. i put it in layer, around 4 time to achieve the thickness I'm comfortable based on the day...it's work wonderful
Request - fall winter gentle cleansers!
The rovectin conditioning cleanser (in her box recommended & a great price) is really good. Try it!
Hey Kelly! I love your videos! Please do a review video on be plain brightening ampoule
Could you use the iunik sleeping mask as a moisturizer? For day or night?
Hey kelly....love u,I never miss ur vedio .my skin is very dry dehydrated,I stay in dry area.i am new to k beauty...I ordered beauty of joson but the smell is unbearable...plz advise for fragrance free moisturizer
Would you use the propolis before or after a Hylaronic acid serum? The by wishtrend sounds totally up my ally for acne concerns.
@@jadew.1472 thank you!!! this really helps!
Hi kelly some by mi has a new propolis serum can you tell me your thoughts about it?
id love to see a centella
edition too!
Pleeeease review or add in the I'm from honey serum
What do u think Iunik propolis serum???
By dark marks do you mean just PIH or does that include PIE?
can i use the propolis toner as a light ampoule? would i get the same glow like with cup propolis line?
i tried the skinfood essence and i found many times it felt super oily and just seemed to sit on top of my skin. i have dry/normal skin... did anyone else feel this way? everyone loves it so i'm not sure if it was just the batch i got.
I've been binge watching your videos and I love your content. I don't think you've done a this or that for mugwort in general, green tea and rinse off vs sleeping mask. Thank you!
There is one on mugwort essences!
where is that cute leopard shirt you are wearing in this video from. you look so cute in it.
Yay!! I’m early!! Lol currently waiting on your wishtrend box and can’t wait to try the by wishtrend polyphenols serum 😍❤️
Yay, I'm excited for you to try it!!
Never buy a CLEAR product and assume there's anything in it but filler."
Anyone can clear this up for me?
Hi which one would you recommend between the serums? I have combination-oily skin, but also dehyrated skin and also damadged skin barrier ❤️
Would love to hear your recommendation 😘💕
I also love propolis in my skincare
A BIG Thumbs Up 👍🏼
is it okay to layer BHA/AHA with propolis?
Hey! Where’s is that adorable blouse from?
It's from madewell!
you’re like my fairy god skincare mom 🥰
Im very curious about Propolis as far as redness, but my face is always red and not from acne can you recommend anything
What about the iUNIK propolis serum? Have you tried it?
Yes, I have a review here on my channel from a few years ago! It unfortunately contains essential oils so I no longer use it.
@@KellyDriscoll Oh I did not know that! Thank you for your input :)
I'm sorry but which one is your this or that between cosrx and skinfood?
Cosrx is for moisturizing and acne prone skin, skinfood is for moisture and glow. Both are great!
Skinfood contains fermented ingredients meaning it could cause skin breakouts so it’s a no no for me
Great video! Thank you
okay i really wanted this!
Amazing content! You are so great
Loved this episode! But now I want to get all of these products 😂
Still "mourning" the loss of Scinic AIO Honey Ampule :'(
OMG I KNOW! I never got to try it either...😭
@@KellyDriscoll I still kling on to that tiny bit left in my package. Not sure if knowing how good it was makes my situation any better 😂 Just ordered the Farm Stay Honey Ampule in hope of it being somewhat of a worthy replacement 🤞

It's not good that the united states has stolen so much from me and left me with so little that I'm not even able to survive.
Kelly! Would love to hear your thoughts on Cosrx Propolis light cream and Benton Fermentation essence!
