Thanks to you, I’m a regular user of the RNW serum (HG), Stratia Liquid Gold (when needed), and the CosRx Moisture Power Enriched Cream (HG). I also regularly use the Beplain Bamboo Hydrating Ampoule, which I found on my own but knew what to look for, also thanks to you 😊 I learned everything about moisture barrier care from your channel & I’m forever grateful. I’ve always had drier skin but didn’t understand the difference between dry skin & dehydrated skin and now that I do, I know what I need to do to address them both. Thank you & keep doing exactly what you’re doing, it’s awesome 🥰
Big fan of the Stratia Liquid Gold, so glad it comes in the 4 Oz size now, I use it morning and night under my moisturizer for my 46 yo face, love it!!! ❤️
YESSSSS YOU TRIED THE AMPLE N CERAMIDE SHOT!!!!! I emptied a full 100ml bottle off that magic last month (have a backup of course!) What a lovely restorative product- got me through the harsh winter yet is still lightweight enough for warmer months! Holy grail! Wonderful recs I need to try that RNW Mist!!!!
Hear me out, Regimen lab C.R.E.A.M has 2.5% ceramides, cholesterol, essential and non-essential f.a. in 3:1:1:1 ratio. It's a bit thick so I add a few drops of rosehip oil (ordinary) and voilà it helped my damaged skin barrier sooo much!
finally Ample:N Ceramide Shot Ampoule 💃 I've been loving that ampoule so much when i suffered from tretinoin irritation. I'm glad knowing that Kelly love the ampoule as much as i do
I cant be without the Paula’s choice omega serum! Is my buffer before tretinoin. Thank you Kelly for the other suggestions I’m going to give the mediheal Baobab a try! 🌺
Beware guys, some fatty acids and even cholesterol can be troublesome for some skin types esp those who are prone to comedones, clogged pores and fungal acne like me. Some fatty acids can really trigger fungal acne so just use products that have them with care and caution. I have combo skin and I use the cerave cream only when my skin barrier is almost dead or after breakouts, but if I prolong the use I almost immediately get comdedones and clogged pores...
@@nataliegraham1218 I feel you. It feels bad to break out from the product that is holy grail for so many. As much as I am interested in Stratia liquid gold, I am not going to use it due to its several ingredients that can trigger fungal acne and clogged pores for me!
Firstly, The fatty acids you're talking about is called "saturated" fatty acids. These type of fatty acids are not good for skin and can be problematic for certain skin types but the one she is mentioning in her is "unsaturated" fatty acids which are good for all skin types. Secondly, cholesterol is a skin identical ingredient which means that it's easily absorbed into the skin and non irritating. If you do face a problem it means either you have an allergy to cholesterol itself or the source of where the cholesterol was obtained.
I like ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acid in my products. But honestly, I don't chase after a moisturizer just because it has those ingredients. My dermatologist said that the idea of the holly trinity seems a bit overrated. Most of the time, moisturizer that contains a bunch of humectants-emolients-occlusives will eventually help to improve your skin barrier. And things like lactic acid and Urea will sometimes signal your skin to repair skim barrier function. And most of the time the holly trinity products are a bit expensive. It's just my opinion.
Now this is one of these didn't know I wanted it until I got it kind of videos, but as soon as I saw it in my feed I got so excited😍 I was strongly considering adding the Ample:n Ceramide Shot to my latest Stylevana order but that order was already quite large(and expensive) so in the end that was one of the products which had to wait for another time, and one of the main reasons I decided to not get it (yet) was because I didn't feel I knew enough about it and I was really worried about it being the wrong kind of product for my dry and sensitive skin
Absolutely agree with you the Holy Trinity are Ceramides, Cholesterol, & Fatty Acids ! I have purchased CeraVe, Illiyoon, Paula's Choice as recommended by you. Interestingly I have discovered a toner from Paula's Choice Pore Reducing Toner which contains the holy trinity ingredients + Niacinamide + Adenosine + Panthenol. I find this toner deeply hydrating, would be nice to see what you think of this product.
Great video Kelly love the Stratia liquid gold and the Illiyoon cream. Looking forward to trying the re formulation of the illiyoon. Just started the RNW serum
Cerave is the only ceramide brand that I like because it has 3 important ceramides. It was actually the brand that started my "skincare journey" back in 2016 with the lightweight lotion on my face and body. I think it gave me a great foundation to start with because my skin _never_ gets irritated by products and I don't really scar either.
I am waiting on delivery of the RNW Der. Concentrate Ceramide Plus serum and the RNW Der. Special Ceramide Cream. When watching your recent video I realized that my moisture barrier was not as healthy as I thought, especially around my eyes and on my neck. I absolutely love the SKIN1004 Soothing Cream, but I think I need more for my mature dry skin with the added complication of rosacea. I will definitely add the Stratia Liquid Gold to my “try” list. Thank you for sharing your passion for a healthy skin barrier and barrier support.
Now a days hearing lot about ceramides and yes it is very important for skin it keeps moisture locked and prevents from dryness and infection. Applying ceramide moisturizers can help restore your skin's natural ceramide levels and improve its health.
Ample:N is a brand that i adore so much. While i haven't tried the Ceramide Shot, I tried their Peptide Shot and VC Shot and i L.O.V.E it SOoOo MUCH ! They have big bottles (100ml) with affordable Price too !
Kelly what are your thoughts on the Skinceuticals Triple Lipid, which is considered the top tier of the holy trinity? Obviously £$€’s though… I had a sample and it was too thick for me. It contains some fragrance but I’ve read before that it’s necessary when developing products with a really good amount of ceramides as they can be stinky. When Charlotte Parlermino was working on the Dieuxskin moisturiser with her partner (who’s on the patent for the Skinceuticals product) she said that the lab samples they made without fragrance stunk if they wanted to use a really good % of ceramides. I love the Medik8 Night Restore btw, a British brand gaining traction in the States. It’s one of the most similar to the SC, but much less rich.
I think I found a product you would love. It's the soybean serum from round lab. It has 5 types of ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids, soybean extract, adenosine, and a bunch of other good stuff. I hope you can review it eventually. I want to try it but it's around $25
You finally try the Ample:n Ceramide Shot! It's been a staple in my routine and pairing it with the BOJ Calming Serum, really gave my skin an instant calming and soothing! I'm so excited you're enjoying the Ample:n as much as we do! 🤗
I am so glad you made this video! I actually searched thru various videos of yours for these types of products a few days ago lol. I just purchased the Innisfree Derma Green Tea Probiotics Cream and the Cosrx Moisture Power Enriched Cream, and also repurchased the RNW serum. I like the RNW serum during the summer because it's lightweight. I also use Stratia Liquid Gold at night. It used to be in my morning routine too, but I noticed that when it gets on my clothes, it leaves a yellow tinged-stain. I think that having been using that lotion for so long has helped my skin not feel as dry/tight anymore.

I got the body sunscreen and it's really cool. The texture is so nice and fluffy and light! I did find it gets kind of greasy on my forehead under my bangs, and on my eyelids which is my only oily area on my face. It especially messes with makeup in my eye area, but I love the SPF 50 and texture so I'll keep using it on my drier face areas and neck/chest/hands, and I'll use something else around my eyes. It's especially nice on my hands since it's moisturizing and dries down well. I'm planning to try their facial sunscreen as well and see how that one works! Also: the shipping from them is super fast!!! I got it in like 3 days.
I love the Holy Trinity as much as you do. This video was thoroughly enjoyable Kelly, thank you! The two ceramide creams that I tried recently were the CeraVe Moisturing Cream and the I'm From Rice Cream. I adore the semi-matte dry down of Cerave but because I have acne prone skin, I'm paranoid of the petrolatum clogging my pores (especially because I feel it on my face even after washing off with a cream cleanser). The Rice Cream on the other hand has a beautiful whipped texture but it is far too oily for my face even for night time skin - alas, it's become a body and butt cream now xD. From your recs, my all time fave is Stratia LG! I wasn't too keen on RNW Concentrate Ceramide Plus & Illiyoon ATO Cream though I feel like i should give Illiyoon another shot because of the cost effectiveness. Hi LR, It sounds like you & I responded similarly to the products you mentioned. Would you mind sharing any 'HG' products that really work for you? I have combo, very sensitive, acne-prone and rosacea-prone skin, so I have to avoid fragrance and am always looking for good recommendations to try. Thanks! 😊
@@vanessamalik1102 Hi Vanessa, sure I’m glad to help. I’m not sure which one of these have fragrance but the following are my HGs: - Tretinoin 0.05% (this and birth control pills are my main fighters to keep acne at bay) - Facetheory Exaglow (Tranexemic Acid 5%) works beautifully with Timeless Vitamin C 20% serum to quickly fade dark spots - RNW Special Ceramide Cream (best moisturiser i’ve found for my super oily skin. it’s got a semi matte finish which doesn’t strip the skin like a lot of mattifying products do. it’s a beautiful formula that has a slight occlusiveness to prevent transepidermal water loss) - I’m From Mugwort Mask (for redness and soothe irritation) & I’m From Honey Mask (for redness and hydration, I don’t find that it does much for acne) - Stratia Liquid Gold (best barrier repair for redness and soothing irritation. i’m even using it on my chapped lips these days) - Cosrx Snail Mucin 96 (for hydration mostly) & Cosrx Dual Snail Essence (brightening in combination with 5% niacinamide) - Paula’s Choice 2% BHA (been using for 7 years or so. good for a daily pore unclogging) - Sioris Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser (love indulging in this cream cleanser)

Stratia Liquid Gold is a staple in my routine and I have the CosRx 96 snail mucin but I haven't tried it yet, or anything from "Timeless", "Paula's Choice" or "I'm From". I've heard of the RNW serum, but didn't realize they have a ceramide cream. I just started the Sioris oil cleanser, but will add the milk one to my list. Hi Kelly! This video was so good ♥️ I was wondering if the coconut oil in the cosrx moisturizer can cause breakouts in an acne prone skin. And do you know any product that is thicker than the innisfree cream and contains this trio? Thank you so much ☺️
Since I started Tret 11 months ago my skin has been really really dry and dehydrated. I'm using moisturizers and top it off with Eucerin original healing creme. I add just a bit of it, but this is the ONLY thing that has been helping me with TEWL so far!
Hi Kelly!! Have you ever tried the Kikumasamune high moist lotion? It is the product that single handedly helped the most with my skin, and I think you would appreciate it! ❤️
Hi Kelly, thank you very much for the summary. There are some products which I am going to order and try out. Have you ever used the ceramide plant cream from Naturium? Or the omega night creme from Paula's Choice? I haven't checked out all of your videos yet. So, I hope I didn't miss that out.
The Skin1004 would probably have been amazing in my teens/20s to counteract all the Stridex! Biossance Omega Repair cream is my HG for the big 3 but I like Stratia LG and the RNW serum is on my wish list. Hubs is all about the Cereve Moisturizing Cream.
I bought the Illiyoon cream based on your recommendation towards the end of Winter. It was great for my combo skin then. I'm still using it comfortably as the weather is not that humid yet. But I will definitely need something lighter for summer. So thanks a lot for coming up with this video.♥️ PS: I heard Illiyoon has a gel cream too. Have you tried it?
I’m not the type too fear ingredients but I really don’t like to see Diazolidinyl Urea which is a formaldehyde releaser and I really prefer not to see it in products. That’s why I can’t use any Stratia products. If only…
What about Dr jart ceramidin cream? I amnsuper dry and dehydrated, eveyone rives about ceramidin linenfrom Dr jart, but I haven't seen you talk about it, and I will buy it only if you give agreen light
I am waiting for this episode my while life, thank you Kelly! 🥰 Currently I am enjoying Ceramidin Serum by dr. Jart+, it has a really lightweight formula. Even my dry skin enjoy it 😌
I disagree that the Ample N is not sticky. I love it, but it is VERY sticky and tacky and never really dries down. Definitely helps to moisturize on top to alleviate some of the stickyness
hey kelly, can you recommend cleanser for combo skin type?as most i tried left my skin feeling not so cleansed. loved the video got my eyes on the innisfree ato cream💕💕
I love the heimish all green clean foam cleanser! It's a gel cleanser and lovely to use. I found it from Kelly's recs! I find it a tiny bit too drying in the winter, but in the summer it's perfect. I live in a very hot humid summer environment, and need an extra clean during those summer months to prevent acne. And I love the texture! I use it as a second cleanser after oil cleansing at night.
Heimish is na nice suggestion from Ocean Bird and I do have a recent video with some picks. If you don't have a 1st cleanser already that might help in the feeling that your skin just isn't totally cleansed with just a foam or gel cleanser. Here's the cleanser vid: ruclips.net/video/vzvDKQikqYo/видео.html
Cosrx BHA foaming cleanser is a good one for summer . It foams up gently in my opinion but doesn’t not strip the skin. The BHA in it is a good way to clear up clogged pores and smoothens skin textured overtime
Hi Kelly. Is there a amplien for well aging ????? Is it the one with the specks in it. Is the one you have in the video good for anti aging?? Thanks. Shari Harris
I always learn soo much from your videos and I am extra appreciative of the list of ingredients you always give us. But I could not for the life of me find áquaxil'!?! that you mentioned in several of today's products. I want to keep an eye out for it but I could not find it in any of your lists...How is it spelled exactly? Thank you!!
Hi there hope you are well, thanks for all your advices, i tried a few of your favourite and wow love them too, the Prem toner is reallt great! Now i do love the Omega serum from PC, bought two btl in the past but is becoming too expencive, any dupe for it that you might suggest? My skin also doesnt agree with zinc Thank you so much😘
I think they discontinued the Mediheal Baobab Soothing Moisture Serum :( I was looking to buy it for my boyfriend that dislikes heavy textures but it's not on their site, Amazon nor Olive Young 😭😭
Could be, although that just debuted a year ago, I can't imagine why they'd pull it so quick, especially since the toner and cream are still available. Could be a reformulation or supply chain issue, I've seen a few skincare products disappear for a few months only to quietly return to sites.
First off why in the world don’t you have millions of subscribers? Second will you stop recommending products that I find after you talking about it I just had to buy. In fact I have brought more products that you have recommended than anyone else on RUclips! My question for you we talk about the trinity of ingredients for the moisture barrier. Both ceramides and cholesterol are easy to spot on the ingredients list but where do you look for fatty acids? Thanks for being you because you just are brilliant.
I think I said it in the video or it might have ended up on the cutting room floor, but the Paula's Choice Omega + Serum ingredient list is the perfect one to study to learn all the different forms fatty acids can take because there are so many I couldn't list them. You can also use sites like INCI Decoder to get more familiar with ingredient functions. Check out the PC omega serum list here because they name all the fatty acids in parenthesis. www.paulaschoice.com/omegaand-complex-serum/213.html
I have a playlist here on my channel called sunscreens with all my SPF reviews (mostly k-beauty) I have a few reviews coming up in the next couple of weeks too!
Thank you so much for this! I have been looking for a good serum for my dehydrated skin. I am using dieux angel moisturizer which has ceramides, chlosteral and fatty acids. I think it is moisturizing but I am not sure it is working for my dehydration because my skin feels moisturized to the touch, but is definitely really tight and stiff. Which serum, the mediheal or rnw would you recommend for my dry/dehydrated skin? Oh or I also was looking at youth to the people triple peptide and cactus oasis serum? Wasn't sure which of these but as the skincare guru I knew you would be the most amazing person to ask! I definitely think I am very dehydrated and just am not sure how to take care of that. Thank you so much. Your videos are so helpful! Oh my skincare includes double cleansing, while face is damp I use dr ceuracle kombucha essence like 2 or 3 layers and then top it with cosrx snail essence and then my moisturizer. Then retinol 1to 3 times a week and of course sunscreen everyday! My skin still feels tight and dehydrated most of the time. Am I just not addressing the dehydration of my skin with these products? Should I also have a face mist for in between products and to use throughout the day. Thank you again. Sorry for all the rambling
I think you might detect a bit of a white cast but if you are okay with that I think it could work. It's not really streaky or hard to blend like some other mineral sunscreens can be.
@@KellyDriscoll I’m gonna give it a go. I’m dark skinned and tried Unsun Tinted Mineral sunscreen. I wanted to love it because it’s a BWOB and tinted but my goodness, I looked ashy and I felt a weird drying to my skin.
Kelly! question: is it ok to keep on layering these on top of the other? i mean toner, essence, moisturizer with the holy trinity in each step? i want to, im almost 40. but i dont know if i can :)
Yes you can layer the ingredients in different products, I don't think you can do too much. It's more about the weight and texture of each product and how they feel on your individual skin. Experiment and see what feels right for you.

- Tretinoin 0.05% (this and birth control pills are my main fighters to keep acne at bay)
- Facetheory Exaglow (Tranexemic Acid 5%) works beautifully with Timeless Vitamin C 20% serum to quickly fade dark spots
- RNW Special Ceramide Cream (best moisturiser i’ve found for my super oily skin. it’s got a semi matte finish which doesn’t strip the skin like a lot of mattifying products do. it’s a beautiful formula that has a slight occlusiveness to prevent transepidermal water loss)
- I’m From Mugwort Mask (for redness and soothe irritation) & I’m From Honey Mask (for redness and hydration, I don’t find that it does much for acne)
- Stratia Liquid Gold (best barrier repair for redness and soothing irritation. i’m even using it on my chapped lips these days)
- Cosrx Snail Mucin 96 (for hydration mostly) & Cosrx Dual Snail Essence (brightening in combination with 5% niacinamide)
- Paula’s Choice 2% BHA (been using for 7 years or so. good for a daily pore unclogging)
- Sioris Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser (love indulging in this cream cleanser)
@@niklaus009 Thank you so much LR! There are definitely a few in your routine that I'll have to try. Thanks again for all the fantastic suggestions. Hope you have a great week! 🥰
@@vanessamalik1102 No prob, happy to help! I swear it feels like I’m the only one I know from people I watch that raves about that ceramide cream. Thank you, enjoy your week ahead!
Hi, would you please make a video where you show us your skincare on rotation or your skincare shelf
Oh Kelly! Broke my bank today lol. Used your discount code too! yay! Love from Manila Philippines
Hi Kelly! This video was so good ♥️ I was wondering if the coconut oil in the cosrx moisturizer can cause breakouts in an acne prone skin. And do you know any product that is thicker than the innisfree cream and contains this trio? Thank you so much ☺️
Your videos are my most favourite now a days...Such good content with amazing product suggestion!!!
Take love...🇧🇩
So glad you enjoy my videos! 💖
Thank you for another excellent video! You are my skincare guru :)
I bought the Illiyoon cream based on your recommendation towards the end of Winter. It was great for my combo skin then. I'm still using it comfortably as the weather is not that humid yet. But I will definitely need something lighter for summer. So thanks a lot for coming up with this video.♥️
PS: I heard Illiyoon has a gel cream too. Have you tried it?
So glad the illiyoon is working well for you! I haven't tried the gel version but I think a few here in the community do enjoy it!
I don't use products with essential oils due to my personal skin sensitivity so unfortunately I can not test or recommend the product.
@@KellyDriscoll I was not aware that it has essential oils. I'm definitely not going to buy it. Thank you!
I'm still hunting for the reformulated Illyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream. I have to avoid hyaluronic acid and niacinamide.
I am waiting for this episode my while life, thank you Kelly! 🥰
Currently I am enjoying Ceramidin Serum by dr.
Thank you!!
@KellyDriscoll Hi there! Have you tried the round lab soybean serum? It has your holy trinity and would love to get your thoughts!
Can you please review Aestura’s 365 Ato barrier cream.
This one's going in the saved videos so I can come back 💛
I’ve ordered the RNW plus as well as the mist. I’m not familiar with YesStyle. Are they a reputable business?
@@KellyDriscoll I'm so happy to hear that! I'll keep on checking on it to come back! ❤️

Thank you. You are gorgeous!!! 💋
I am addicted to ceramide, cholesterol and fatty acids because of you, thank you so much for doing what you are doing, i am forever your fan🧡🥰
For the skin 1004 cream is peppermint extract an irritating ingredient? I love all the other ingredients, but was unsure about this one.
So many products here 😍
make a video on korean sunscreens
Would you reccommend the sunscreen for African American Medium Brown Complexion?
I think you might detect a bit of a white cast but if you are okay with that I think it could work. It's not really streaky or hard to blend like some other mineral sunscreens can be.
@@KellyDriscoll I’m gonna give it a go. I’m dark skinned and tried Unsun Tinted Mineral sunscreen. I wanted to love it because it’s a BWOB and tinted but my goodness, I looked ashy and I felt a weird drying to my skin.
Does the innisfree soothing ato cream contain cholesterol too?
Kelly!
question: is it ok to keep on layering these on top of the other?
i mean toner, essence, moisturizer with the holy trinity in each step?
i want to, im almost 40. but i dont know if i can :)
Yes you can layer the ingredients in different products, I don't think you can do too much. It's more about the weight and texture of each product and how they feel on your individual skin. Experiment and see what feels right for you.
@@KellyDriscoll thank you! the illiyoon ato cream is a staple for 2 years now because of you. never looked at any other moisturizer even tho they reformulated :)
now looking for something to add while its still winter here in new zealand! ;)
Does the ordinary nmf moisturizer contain the holy trinity?
can you use the rnw ceramide plus with tret? theres been some talk that the peptides would conflict with tret.
It's absolutely fine, there is really no concrete proof about peptides and retinoids conflicting.
Holy Grail Video!
