Based on your recommendations and research, I’ve switched to treating my acne with propolis ingredients and recently began treating my moisture barrier with Stratia. Skin feels better every day and can’t wait to add a couple of these to the routine!
My fave is the Regimen Labs C.R.E.A.M. It is formulated with the 3.1.1. ratio (ceramides to cholesterol to fatty acids) which studies show is the most optimal for skin barriar repair. Before that I was using the Skincaticals Tripple Lipid Restore which also uses the 3:1:1 ratio but is also much more expensive! I love everything from Regimen Labs, especially their Level Serum w/ niacinimde, alpha arbutin, tranzemic acid and licorice root has really improved for my hyperpigmentation. I also use their Vitamin C serum with feurulic and vitamin E. All of their products are science based for max efficiency. Also the brand, like The Ordinary, is from my hometown of Toronto so that makes me love it even more!
Have heard only good things about Regimen Labs, and I love that they are research driven, and radically transparent. You never have to guesstimate the % of active ingredients, and they were nothing but helpful when I reached out with questions. None of that "we can't disclose XYZ as it's proprietary information" that you get with other brands. Looking at you, CeraVe :/

The best ceramide serum I've found for my skin is the Transparent Labs Ceramide Repair Serum which in my opinion is both hydrating and moisturizing. It has 6 types of Ceramides, Hyaluronic Acid, Madecassoside, Cholesterol, and fatty acids. I perfer the creamy texture over Be Plain's gel consistency.

Thanks for the tip. The ingredients list is impressive. I am sometimes sensitive to hyaluronic acid (amount, type) so it is usually trial and error. I have just purchased it and I am crossing my fingers it will work well for me too. :-)
I put my Be Plain Bamboo serum in the fridge it feels amazing when u put it on cold . I also love the RNW cerimide serum it's like my favorite I use it everyday sometime 2 times a day. I have more to put on my skincare list thank you Kelly.

Girl, you've got to try Pyunkang Yul Repair Balm for barrier repair. It's a must. It's my all-time favorite moisturizer by far. I have Liquid Gold, Krave GBR, Illiyoon Cream, Pyunkang Yul Cream and more. Once I got the balm, I put the others on my backup shelf. My favorite part of it is it repairs my skin overnight every single time and it never causes congestion which is the main issue I have with LG and GBR. I love those products but it causes congestion if I use them for several days in a row. With Fall and Winter coming up, please for the love of skincare, try that balm.
RNW's ceramide products are THE BEST. Their ceramide serum, facial mist and moisturizing cream are seriously among the best ceramide containing products I've ever come across. The ingredients are so, so good.

I’m new to CeraVe moisturizers this year and have been really pleased 🎉 I wanted something affordable and effective and so far it’s delivered. I was using expensive moisturizers, but decided to stick with the serums and save on moisturizers. Thankfully, I have not had to give up on quality or effectiveness because the moisturizing lotion, cream and skin renewing night cream are working great 🎉❤ I also started using the moisturizing face wash on days that I don’t use my glycolic cleanser. So good!
I have super sensitive allergy-prone skin, that has a damaged skin barrier. I ordered CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, because it was on sale, to try out. Bad choice for me, because I did not see that the product has petroleum in it, my skin does not react well with this ingredient. It gives my skin a feeling of oiliness without being moisturizing. My advise for trying out new skincare products (especially for sensitive skin): 1. Try the mini/travel size or smallest container first, to somewhat know your skin's reaction to the new product. 2. Do not replace every step of your routine with a whole new set of products, to minimize the amount of products you have to adapt to. I'd say to only try one new pruduct at a time. So in case you have a bad reaction, you know why.
Yes, peptides in everything! 😄 I now have all of these except Paula’s Choice. I just bought the JJ Labs Premium Peptide Serum and the mini size of the RNW (comes in a set on sale) from Amazon. They both look fantastic. I’m a little nervous to try the Illiyoon cream because of my oily skin, so I got the lotion instead. (Plus I like pumps over tubes and tubs). Very excited to try and expecting it to work great!🤞

The problem is I have problems finding ceramide products since one of my main acne triggers is capric/caprylic trygliceride, which is in Cerave, Dr. Jart and a lot of other ceramide products. Thanks to you I was able to learn about 4 products with ceramides without capric/caprylic trygliceride that I'm excited to try. I barely found your RUclips channel this week and had to subscribe right away after seeing your hydrating toner recommendations.
If you wanted to try dr Jart but couldn’t like me-Torriden solid in ceremide cream is a dupe without the itritatants and I’d argue way better. Their toner/serum type liquid solid in is also great and ceramides are at the very top of the inci list
PSA if you have fungal acne, ceramides and arginine might cause you to break out :( found out from using COSRX snail essence and Illiyoon ato cream in the same routine

My favorite moisturizer is the Cetaphil redness night cream for some reason it’s just so luxurious as it goes on and I just love the feel of it. I do hope that it meets all the requirements of the ceramides I have no idea ha ha
That LRP moisturizer pills like crazy on me and anyone I’ve ever had to try it. I think the key thing it’s missing to keep from balling up and pilling is oils.

I wish I could include everything but that would be a hour long video! I had to leave out other faves from PKY and cosrx too, I try to keep things edited and build upon ingredient info with each product. It's still a lovely cream, especially nice for oily and combo skin types!

Would you combine the RNW Ceramide Serum with antioxidants like Pycnogenol or Reservatrol, even retinol? I noticed it has a copper peptide and they can be tricky to combine sometimes? The serum really seem to have it all!

I personally use the RNW serum in the morning because it's a lightweight texture, it absorbs easily, and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin which is especially good for those hot days. For the evenings, I use Stratia Liquid Gold and also in the way that Kelly uses it. Hopes this helps 🙂

@@spnikki16 Sounds like a good plan. Unfortunately, the Illiyoon cream didn't work well for my face. It didn't help with hydration at all. I have been using it on my body instead.
What are your thoughts on ceramide supplements? Do you think they are effective? I have been wanting to get some but they are pricy and not sure if they will be worth it.
i used to use that la roche posay double repair moisturizer and it definitely worked to keep my skin moisturizer but the user experience of it was horrible even compared to other drug store moisturizers.. it pilled for me even when i just used that one product and idk but it felt dry?? like the product itself felt like a dry liquid
It's weird because I felt it did nothing for my skin either (I have oily skin), but my sister loves it and her skin looks amazing. I think she is normal to dry so maybe that is why.

It's a good product! I personally think stratia is better (similar) product but I've used Krave and enjoyed it! Reviewed it around 2019 here on my channel.
Hello Kelly I'm suffering from worse skin issues . I actually over cleansed my skin around 1 whole year without following any moisturiser and that actually dry my skin so bad. I try hydrating products like HA with sealing moisturisers like barrier repair creams but my skin is getting worse. It seems that my skin has no oil in it and if I try oil based moisturiser like Palmer's cocoa butter it's just feel better some days but then it feels that my skin cannot tolerate it. My skin became sandy type and I can't even put on makeup cause it looks so bad. And I'm 21 plz tell me what to do 😭

The Illiyoon cream is my current no. 1, but I also like the Ato Moisturising Soothing Gel Lotion from Pyunkang Yul, which contains Ceramide-NP.

I wonder if I have the same trigger. No leave on CeraWe products works for me, as I get pimples and most often a rash

The Stratia Gold Liquid has a dimethicone as an occlusive that is enough for oily skin/humid climate.

I wish I could include everything but that would be a hour long video! I had to leave out other faves from PKY and cosrx too, I try to keep things edited and build upon ingredient info with each product. It's still a lovely cream, especially nice for oily and combo skin types!

Would you combine the RNW Ceramide Serum with antioxidants like Pycnogenol or Reservatrol, even retinol? I noticed it has a copper peptide and they can be tricky to combine sometimes? The serum really seem to have it all!

Hello! I have two questions. 1.If used once a day, when would you use the RNW serum, morning or evening? 2. How does the Toleriane La Roche Posay cream compare moisture wise with the Rovectin Lotus Water Cream? Thank you! :-)
I personally use the RNW serum in the morning because it's a lightweight texture, it absorbs easily, and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin which is especially good for those hot days. For the evenings, I use Stratia Liquid Gold and also in the way that Kelly uses it. Hopes this helps 🙂

@@spnikki16 Sounds like a good plan. Unfortunately, the Illiyoon cream didn't work well for my face. It didn't help with hydration at all. I have been using it on my body instead.

What are your thoughts on ceramide supplements? Do you think they are effective? I have been wanting to get some but they are pricy and not sure if they will be worth it.
I'm not a fan of supplements for skin generally, not super familiar with ceramide supplements but I would be skeptical of them.
i used to use that la roche posay double repair moisturizer and it definitely worked to keep my skin moisturizer but the user experience of it was horrible even compared to other drug store moisturizers.. it pilled for me even when i just used that one product and idk but it felt dry?? like the product itself felt like a dry liquid
It's weird because I felt it did nothing for my skin either (I have oily skin), but my sister loves it and her skin looks amazing. I think she is normal to dry so maybe that is why.

It's a good product! I personally think stratia is better (similar) product but I've used Krave and enjoyed it! Reviewed it around 2019 here on my channel.

Hello Kelly I'm suffering from worse skin issues . I actually over cleansed my skin around 1 whole year without following any moisturiser and that actually dry my skin so bad. I try hydrating products like HA with sealing moisturisers like barrier repair creams but my skin is getting worse. It seems that my skin has no oil in it and if I try oil based moisturiser like Palmer's cocoa butter it's just feel better some days but then it feels that my skin cannot tolerate it. My skin became sandy type and I can't even put on makeup cause it looks so bad. And I'm 21 plz tell me what to do 😭
