In addition to illyoon, you've introduced so many of my HGs to me: laneige cream skin, stratia lipid gold, skin1004 sunscreen, and niod survival 0. I am right there with you on the Stratia Lipid Gold. A while back my skin was so dry, I had literal flakes every day despite using oils and moisturizers. After using Lipid Gold, my skin healed and I haven't been without it. I recently started using the "egg" a pump of Stratia Interface with a pump of Lipid Gold in the middle. I also adore Dr Ceuracle Essence as well. ❤❤

    I have gone through over 1.5 of the 500g TUBS of Illiyoon. I use it every night on the face and multiple times a day on that hands. It’s not the most moisturizing hand cream but it dries fast, it’s very soothing, and it doesn’t leave a gross residue.

    Hi Kelly indeed no surprises😂 in this video, but that is because they are longstanding favourites. Unfortunately a few of these really don’t work for my rosacea and eczema prone skin, but that’s very specific to me. The lipid gold and Dr Ceuracle were so eagerly anticipated and both really caused reactions on patch testing for some reason.
    A few of my most repurchased items are:
    Kate Somerville Delikate moisturiser- I really try to get a good deal on it, but it is my favourite for the colder months as my daycream. There isn’t anything quite like it as it is so comforting on my extremely dry skin yet doesn’t cause issues under my spf and makeup.
    Paula’s choice extra rich clinical moisturiser- this is my runner up to the KS and works almost as well for the same situation. I have been buying both of these for at least three years btw.
    Ultrasun SPFs- I have used these SPFs for at least 13 years and trust the protection they give me. They don’t irritate my rosacea and they just work.
    Ti’am vita B5 toner- I have used so many bottles of this over the last probably five years. I think it’s a great value for a really good INCI list and is just so hydrating and soothing on the skin. It’s a favourite for a reason.
    Beauty of Josean ginseng toner - this is a very watery toner that I enjoy as a first step in my hydrating process. It’s usually well priced and with sustained use does give a gentle brightness to the skin. It’s very easily accessible and I have repurchased it many times.
    Cosrx propolis toner - this texture really works for me and I like having some propolis in my routine. Another easily accessible product I have repurchased many times
    Jin Jung sung essence and omega serum - I have repurchased both at least three times and use them together for hydration and moisture. Together they work really well, but they work individually too ( the omega serum is 150mls and is my replacement for the Laneige cream skin older version). I very much enjoy both and they have been in my rotation consistently for the last couple of years.
    There you go my most repurchased skincare for my extremely dry rosacea and eczema prone skin. Best wishes x

    My repurchases: 1. the Make:Prem toner 😝 You turned me onto it, Kelly, and I've loved it ever since; 2.the BoJ Rice Relief Sunscreen, The Skin1004 Hyalu Cica Sunscreen; 3. the Purito B5 Rebarrier moisturiser (not sure this is the correct name.. I hope you know which one I mean) and the iUnik Beta-glucan moisturiser; 4. Skinfix lipid moisturiser or the Aestura Ato Barrier (these two for winter); 5. Torriden Solid In Lip Essence.

    I love Dr Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence 🍵 I will never go without it. My most purchased products are ... PC Skin Recovery Toner, PC Clear Skin Cleanser, Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream 💙 Cosrx Snail Essence & Cream. I think I'm the only one who didn't like Stratia Lipid Gold. The texture was more like a super light lotion, it couldn't deal with the smell and I didn't like how it turned my skin yellow/orange.

    Hi Kelly! I've gone through a few bottles of the Wishtrend Active Boosting Essence. It's a really lovely product. I think I was first introduced to it when Michelle of Lab Muffin Beauty Science featured it in her Wishtrend beauty box years ago. I received my new BOJ products yesterday and the three new products I tried were the Dynasty Cream, the Ginseng Essence Water and the Green Plum Refreshing Toner. I've only used the cream and toner once and the essence water twice but they all seem really nice and gentle so far and I'm looking forward to continuing using them. I'm curious if the shampoo and conditioner you mentioned would be suitable for fine, curly, frizz prone hair as I'm looking to try something new to help tame the frizz. Also I just wanted to say that your makeup looks so good. I'd love a tutorial!

    Great video! My most repurchased skincare has to be:
    1) Geek & Gorgeous Liquid Hydration. Such an unassuming, watery toner, but it does surprisingly much for my skin. I can visually see the difference.
    2) Geek & Gorgeous C-Glow 15% Vitamin C Serum. So affordable and so good.
    3) Geek & Gorgeous 101 A-Game 10 0.1% Retinal Serum. I promise I'm not sponsored by G&G or anything, lol. It's just a brand that really matches what I want, and it's very accessible to me. This has been my retinoid of choice for... Idk, 3 years now?
    4) Facetheory Lumizela Azelaic Acid 15% Serum. The name is apparently changing to Blemicalm, but whatever. I use this twice a day, and I just don't want to be without it. (They also have a 10% version.)

    Amen to makeprem toner!! I really appreciate these kind of videos where you can date back empties, the ones that are true and dear to one’s heart❤ I take pictures of my skincare empties, and these are the rockstars that give me joy just looking at them (I have dehydrated, acne-prone combination skin with dryer body):
    - Makeprem gentle and hydrating essence toner: best toner for dehydration that has thin consistency
    - Ampoule n ceramide shot: best winter ampoule for those who have “thin” skin that can’t take alot of cholesterol
    - Primera alpine berry watery soothing gel cream: “fattiest” gel cream out there - perfect for in between seasons
    - Fation nosca9 trouble cream (not “s” version!): best cream for acne and hyperpigmentation from acne - fortifies skin barrier and absorbs like a dream
    - Dongah acnon cream: calms down early deep red large acne every time but not “strong” on skin
    - Nivea UV Super Water Gel: best body easy-wash sunscreen that is not sticky once dried down. Comes in a pump bottle too!
    - Deeponde Signature Origin 86 Mist: best mist for in between seasons when cream mists can be too heavy
    - Larocheposay lipikar gentle foaming moisturizing wash: great all seasons for my dryer body skin
    - Allantoin moisturizing mild feminine wash: never looked back after using this!
    - On the body cotton foot foot shampoo: game changer for those who don’t like to bend down but still want clean feet :)
    - Mediheal tea tree essential mask: simple but effective every time when you get the inkling that your skin will act up the next day
    - Benton scalp nourishing tonic ampoule: scalp is very happy but hair is not weighed down
    - Healingbird no wash ampoule treatment super moisture: truly THE hair ampoule spray that won’t weigh down your hair but gives nutrition. Make sure to wipe the floor afterwards though.
    - Illiyoon ceramide ato lotion: best winter body lotion
    - Goldbond healing hand cream aloe: non-sticky yet nourshing hand cream

    Hi Kelly, new subscriber here. First video of yours that I watched was about Bifida, because I bought it at Sephora super priced no need to state the brand .. only to find out it has 10% concentration only.. other korean serums have 88% imagine. It’s ok because I chose to keep it try it and see if it works then I’ll get higher concentration. Oils same for me my dermatologist and everyone says stay away from oils, I had so much acne before and it was very inflamed until one day I started putting BLACK SEED OIL it was LIFECHANGING. Another oil Id recommend is ROSEHIP OIL. Best oil for the skin honestly it does a lot. Moisturizers and toners I keep trying them and changing but the essentials will stay, vitamin C Niacinamide and rosehip oil. Sunscreen definitely but I have from few brands so it doesn’t really matter.

    Excellent video and recommendations! I currently use NIOD FECC, but at $70 USD its become too expensive for me (even at discount in Nov). It's the only eye cream I found that I can use on my eyelids too. Do you have a recommendation for a less expensive eye serum/cream that is equivalent? Also ant recommendations for a inexpensive copper peptide serum for anti aging? I'm using the Corsrx Booster, but understand its just a booster and doesn't replace an actual copper peptide serum. Thanks so much for sharing your favs!

    Unfortunately, shipping to Germany is inexplicidly exorbitantly expensive for Stratia, so that is not an option for me.
    Regarding Dr Ceuracle: would you say it is more occlusive than the Mary&May alternative? I really want to try Dr. Ceuracle, but occlusion can be tricky for me.

      On first impressions of using the M&M essence is the product feels lighter upon initial application, but once the essence has soaked into my skin, the oil complexes feel much heavier on my skin than the Dr. Ceuracle essence. It almost makes my skin feel oily. I prefer the texture of the Dr. Ceuracle once it settles into the skin but I'm planning to use this for at least a month to see what happens. I'll try to remember to come back and update you after a month.

The cream used to treat me so well until 4 or 5 years ago and then it started stinging and my skin ended up drier the next day. The hydrating cleanser used to be my favorite (as in i used to used to look forward to washing my face - because it felt SO good on my dry sensitive skin) but it started to sting my skin too. I've been watching your channel since 2020 and hence have tried most of these except stratia, as I always love your recs. The tsubaki shampoo has sulphates so was not a fan of that though. The avene sunscreen was also too oily for me. Although I never actually repurchase skincare because the products on my wish and to try list are in the hundereds, so there is there is a lifetime worth of new products to try. I never get around to buying something again. The only product I have repurchased a few times was the laneige cream mist which I use during the day in winter as my skin gets dry, and the LRP cicaplast as I don't know anything similar and need these for winter. I purchased th Illiyoon cream twice but now prefer the Aestura one, as well their cream mist which replaced my laneige one as it is slightly cheaper and feels the exact same.

      Honestly, you can apply it however you like, I personally don't do a ton of patting (a little and it looks cute on camera) but there is no difference between slapping, patting, smearing etc, apply it how you like no method is proven better than the other. I think it's more important to order and layer your skincare correctly to get the best results, but the method of application is up to you!

    My only gripe with Stratia is that they really didn't need to change their packaging & design a 2nd time. I loved the first rendition of the white bottle look...

      I think I remember an email or social post basically explaining that their packaging supplier was no longer going to work so they had to change it. I agree though, the newest Lipid Gold packaging isn't my fave, the print often comes off!

    Hello 👋 i do have a question, I recently just bought my first ( make prem toner ) do you think this is a great toner for my well aging journey
    I were love to hear your honest opinion

    • @KellyDriscoll
      @KellyDriscoll  6 месяцев назад +2

      It's a great toner for hydration and if your skin is lacking hydration it will help your skin look and feel better. Well-aging is a holistic approach to skincare and won't be achieved by just 1 product, make sure you also have your collagen-stimulating ingredients and good sunscreen!

      Not sure if you have tried the Mary & May Blackberry Cream Essence, it's super similar to Dr. C but it's just a little less rich so might be a better fit for you!

      Or try applying with a lightweight/thin cotton pad to control the application amount better!
      I didn’t like the CosRx propolis toner, thought it was too sticky and suffocating, until I tried applying it with a cotton pad instead of patting it on like my other toners. Maybe worth a shot 🤷🏽‍♀️

    I thought I saw a previous video where you stated that the Stratia Lipid, although a great moisturiser, was not occlusive enough for you. Has your skin texture changed or has it been reformulated? I’d love to buy it but I have dry skin, so I’m not sure. Would love your thoughts on this….I really love the content on your channel. • @ninjapiratess
      @ninjapiratess 6 месяцев назад +3

      I have dry skin and I wouldn't consider it an occlusive last step. It's more like a thick serum. It's a little pump bottle, I just use one pump to dot around my face, then use your regular night moisturizer afterward.

    • @monicaduncan7109
      @monicaduncan7109 6 месяцев назад +1

      I’ve not tried this but I do have dry skin so I would definitely follow up the lipid gold with a thicker moisturiser. I think the way Kelly uses it is one pump of lipid gold and a couple of drops of facial oil mixed together then a final layer of moisturiser

    • @KellyDriscoll
      @KellyDriscoll  6 месяцев назад +1

      Stratia is a lotion-serum hybrid product. You can use it as a light moisturizer to finish your skincare, or you can use it as a serum layered under another moisturizer. I personally use it like a serum since it's not enough for my skin type as a moisturizer.

      The chia seed oil is 100% and that is sold as a food grade oil in stores or on Amazon. Good to add to food (full of omega 3 fatty acids) or to body lotions.

      Hi. it is good for healing the skin barrier. but wouldnt recommend it using everday. I have a lot of clogged pores and closed comedones and the weather here is really hot. it will make your skin more clogged because of its thickness. try watery cream instead.

    It’s strange when Americans say words in a certain way, because they’ve been taught to read phonetically, but most countries, even if it’s not their first language the spoken words are pronounced the same as everyone else’s country. Has anyone else noticed this? 🤔 Personally as a teacher who works with children who have different needs, learning to read phonetically is so much easier, even though it can be weird, than them having to learn the complicated language of English. There’s too many rules and a lot more to learn.
