The best video so far for Shelee technique ❤️❤️❤️
awwww shucks - thanks Chris
Totally agree! Thank you!
Agreed! Kanella not only are you an amazing artist- you are a phenomenal teacher!
Also agree.
Best paint pouring tutorial anywhere. Thanks from Australia. Cheers.
Thank you! I have also dropped many tiles, what I do now, after I tape the back off and instead of resting the tile on top of the plastic or paper cup I tape the cup to center of the tile. That way I just pick up the cup .
You don't have to apologize for the time you're teaching us some stuff that's important that we want to learn so course it might take a while but it's worth it
My dear Kanella....please, please stop apologising for your videos being so long....we love them or we wouldn’t be watching them over and over again and learning from you !!!!,, I’ll need to take my iPad to the hardware store to show them what I need. I’m in Scotland so will get in touch with the girl in Ireland and pick her brains too.
So, dear friend and teacher , just continue being yourself and make your videos as long as you have time for them...many thanks, Jane........
thanks so much Jane
I fully agree, I have been watching Kanella for over a yr. She has got me excited about all of the things I have learned from her. She has given me the strength to stepout of my confort zone.
thank you so much for all the great detail, and it was not too long! it was perfect. i think i can be ready to try blooms now. you are very generous with your time and it is appreciated!
I took the Shelee course and was left a little confused. Kanella, you made everything so clear as I knew you would! Thank you for doing this!
you're most welcome Pam
I was also very confused after her course. It did not give clear directions on the recipe.
Tammy mentioned that Kanella’s video will be amazing!! So...... she was right!
awwww thanks!
this is EXACTLY what I was looking for...a step by step from beginning to end. AWESOME job! thank you...and it's not 'too long'...it's PERFECT! will check out the course now that I have the basics.
Kanella thank you for doing this informative tutorial. Please know that it is very much appreciated. ❤️
dont apologize for the length, you gave lots of amazing information!!!
thanks so much
Don’t apologize, we are learning
Your an outstanding teacher. Thank you so much for going over this! Love the yellow & purple.
Biochemist/formulations chemist here. I would highly advise you switch away from the polyacrylic or use gloves when handling. Pretty sure the polyacrylic uses acrylamide which is a known nerve toxin. It won't do anything immediately, but prolonged regular use can start to cause some issues...
xcetrax wearing a respirator is best as well cuz it can cause serious lung problems after prolonged use
Gloves and mask for me.
My question always is does it make a difference if you wear a respirator while using these products if when you finish, and remove the respirator, the odor is still lingering in the air?
@@kimblanda6415 I wouldn't chance it. I would work in a room that I would leave once being finished with the project and remove the mask once leaving the area. Who knows how long the particles stay in the air for. After reading the first comment of the lady who got brain lesions I would not leave anything to chance.
Sura S i agree. I’ve spent probably 15 hours this week researching and watching videos on the various products people are using. And I have decided that is absolutely not safe. And I do not have dedicate the paining space. So even wearing a respirator wouldn’t matter, once I take it off the smell is throughout my home. I’m going to stick to the basics.
absolute GAME CHANGER as far as knowing the australian floetrol bloom technique. She legit helped so much! FYI Your vids have also helped with my mixing technique as well so THANK YOU
It's so heartening to revisit this video a year later when I have some pouring experience and a tad of skill under my belt. It all helps me to really understand some of what you share here.
My plan is to join the e-class SheleeArt offers by Fall 2021. I appreciate the encouragement from you to learn. Besides taking this e-course , I am currently immersed in a learning process to develop drawing, design, perspective, composition, and, of course, color theory skills. These topics are all top of the list for my self-designed (classical art textbooks/teachers) home study course. I'm over the moon with the strides I've made with my artist's eye. Such fun! Thank you!
Stunning colors! Love your work.
You shouldn’t worry about the time took, I was riveted while watching you, another half an hour would have flown by.
Thankyou so much for your tutorial, it was so well explained I found it one of the best I’ve ever taken part in. At my age I don’t retain stuff like I used to, but this has gone in really well already because I was totally engrossed in what you had to tell us. Thanks again Kanella, you’re the best.
thanks so much Annie
This is the RUclips video I have been searching for. Thanks Kanella. #131
Yes it was long and I enjoyed every minute of it. I took the course but you’re the first person that helped me understand the ingredients. Thank you.
thanks so much Sherri
Oh my goodness!!! This was super helpful! I’ve been watching ideas for weeks!! Thx for this info! 🎉😊
It's amazing to see how everyone has tweaked the original recipe to make it work for them and I agree that if you can take the course it is definitely a bonus in the learning curve. When it comes to the floetrol I have found that it loses its immediate BAM effect a little while after the initial mix, but that doesn't mean it does not work. I have done two things to get amazing results. First I use at least 3 parts (or more) floetrol to one part paint in the activator and then I wait at least 30 seconds after I blow to get really tiny cells. But then if you patiently wait it out some sort of magic happens and there is an explosion of cells that continue to grow as you stretch it out. It's really an amazing thing to watch. Another thing I changed is I now use a mix of semi-gloss and satin paint and it definitely makes a difference. Thanks for sharing your recipe and technique. 😍
thanks - its nice to hear other's success and recipes...
Oh no, I thought satin WAS semi-gloss. Two lots of English speakers separated by a common language! :-D
I just loved to see your long video despite I cannot get the materials in Denmark. I always enjoy to watch you work with your art, you are so talented😍
Excellent informative video for beginners who want to have a go and see if it's there thing before investing too much money.
Lol. As I’m watching on my phone I find myself tipping my phone trying to help u out! Great tutorial. Thanks so much!
I do as well🤣
I just caught myself blowing while reading this and watching lol
THANKS!!!!! I took the course and never found the right products to use in the USA. Been away from pouring for over a year, and now inspired to get some activator ingredients and try again.
WOW! What an excellent tutorial. It's packed with so much valuable info - I've watched it twice (or maybe 3 times). I especially appreciate the precise list of "ingredients" for the recipes - extremely helpful. The tiles were stunning. Don't be concerned with the length of the video - it was necessary in order to describe this method with such clarity and detail. THANK YOU!!!!!!
thanks so much Cheryl - I appreciate that
Brilliant. Kanella don't apologise for long videos. I love them settle down with a glass of vino, feet up, and watch and listen. So therapeutic relaxing if I'm feeling down your videos make me feel better many thanks.
We love listening to you ! No worries on time 😍
Oh my goodness Kanella..... I just watched this video and you had me literally ROTFLMAO when you got to a point where you were discussing about how long this takes and you started with kindof out of the blue..... so I hope everyone is having a good weekend!!! Just came out of nowhere and it was so funny. Anywho....... loved the video. Tried taking notes.... will need to watch again to add all that I missed. You are a HOOT 🦉
I could listen to you another hour , thank you for sharing so many precious tips to us, it was much appreciated, your tiles and colours are stunning Kanella, I cannot stop praising you.
Hello Kanella
I really loved your video. Thank you.
Thank you so much Kanella… I’ve been waiting for my favorite Canadian artist to guide me on the Canadian products that I need to save up for LOL. Your art is always so beautiful and I appreciate that you take the time to explain what you’re doing !
thanks Cathie
Great, informative video. Thanks Kanella.
I’ve never had enough! 😂. No need to apologize for the time. Thank you, Kanella!
thanks so much
I cannot thank you enough and this was so informative that I deleted the list of other videos that just didn't work for me.
Let me tell you about trying to find Behr 8753 in Portland, OR. Home Depot doesn't even have that number because from what we could tell and a lot of searching, that is a Canadian number. So, for those living in the USA I went round and round and finally figured out that the same item is Behr, Interior/Exterior 8300 Deep base High Gloss. At least this is what I bought, so if there is anyone out there searching hopefully this will help. For those shopping at Home Depot for Minwax, go back to your car and go to Lowe's. Lowe's has bought the Minwax brand so only they carry it and a few other places.
This is a super old video. You should check out video ruclips.net/video/TOtKuhQX9oU/видео.htmlsi=T9lvEQQFmjKLrx8T
One more thing...loving that Artist Loft Iridescent Medium you put in there...need to check that out. 😊
thanks Tanya
Thankyou ! this was so helpful. Took Shelleart class, but had so many consistency problem. All solved .So appreciative
Just an FYI: if you have a home's for humanity store in your area, they sell lots of great stuff that you can use for your pouring journey! Ever store is different but the finds can be AMAZING and the money goes to a good cause! 💕💕💕💕🏜🤠
Allô Kanella, found you tutorial on bloom this morning and just finished the tutorial and I really appreciate . Thank you so much you are a sweetheart.👏👏👏👏😘😘
PROFESSOR K.,
When I was in College, none of my Art Classes were Less than 1 hr.
This Video Lesson was very informative, and is now in my Library for future references !
Thanks 😎
thanks for the comment :)
Wow I don't think a paint formula could get more hazardous! I will definitely be doing this technique up stairs.
I have to warn you. I used to do pour painting and used the polycrylimid as well and I also did resin as well. During that time I developed strange numbness in my forearm skin and later I developed massive weakness in my left leg and had some difficulty walking. In September I had a non-metal toxic chemical panel ran and it came back as my being off of the charts, litterly for acrylamide. I am now dealing with brain lesions and mini-stroke symptoms and numbness over 80% of my body now. I am not blaming acrylamide solely for all of my troubles but it has caused some and is known to cause sometimes severe neurological damage. I wish I would have followed all directions and precautions, and some. And I wish I would have always wore gloves especially when handling a container with the skull and crossbones. Take care please. And be safe.
Angie - I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through...
thank you for looking out for others and giving us the warnings..
Thank you for sharing and prayers lifted up for you.
That is scary. Been painting since August. I know i dont have much ventilation .. but will put fan on and gloves for now on.
Most of the time i just used reg. Mediums and floutrol
Hope you get better
That's because polyacrylamide is a known nerve toxin prior to polymerization.
I was wondering about this as there was an artist that has a video and developed a chronic cough and other bad stuff from our techniques and she advocated floved and respirator. She was very distressed and it is concerning for all of us. Thank you for sharing that information. I hope you get better. Praying for you.
Thanks for all the Canadian product information it was great
A dremel tool with a grinder will clear off those side tabs :)
No need to apologise for time. What an excellent tutorial. The way you emphasize what works best for you and being sure to thoroughly describe, I felt like I was listening to myself. Thank you so much. Beautiful work! 😍
awww thanks so much Tracy
Wow a fab video, could have watch it for another hour,
Kanella you are best at explaining new techniques,
thanks so much Ann
Kanella, thanks for spending your time to explain man small details and you are greatly appreciated. I only hope I remember many of the important details! but then I can just keep seeing the video again till I am comfortable remembering. Thanks again
This was the best spent hour of my evening! Thank you, once again, you are an amazing teacher and artist. I hope one day to practice this hobby.
awww thanks Karen
Dont apologize for the long video - it didn't feel long and so much valuable information. I'm very new at acrylic pouring and in Canada (and can't even find Floetrol easily) so this is amazing. Thank you for this.
Waouh! The best tutorial I have ever watched! Bravo 👏
awww thank you !!
I'm in Canada... so your videos are so helpful for products we can get. More importantly though, your explanations for the more complicated techniques are much more comprehensive than others that I have seen from US and Australian videos I've seen (even when taking notes). You were right about the BEHR all looking alike - I have everything so have plans for this Easter weekend. You have a true talent for teaching. I so appreciate you! Thank you
Thank you so much for making this video!🥰🥰🥰 You are a wonderful teacher! I bought the training and can’t focus enough hours of my life to get this together. I have bought everything you listed so maybe I can finally get rolling with this technique?! Also, I believe the Amsterdam paint is unique because it has a resin binder. Blick Art house brand in hanging tubes also. Most other brands are made with polymer emulsion. I read up on the history of acrylic paint on Wikipedia which said resin binder was original formula and more expensive to make. Art supply stores think I’m a little crazy... 😜 Have not researched the ink formulas yet. Happy artful scientific experimenting!
thanks for the tips and info! good to know
Stopping by for a refresher! Thanks doll! Crazy great info!
Beautiful , I’ll have to try this technique.
thank you
Hi Kanella! You are soo awesome! I agree with everyone here! I took the Shelee course and was totally confused!! You taught it in such a perfect way that now I will give it a shot! The video was not too long and everything you said was totally important to the process!! You taught me the Dutch Pour method and that’s why I can do it. You are super awesome and I thank you!!!
Hi Kanella, I was so excited to tell you how amazing you teach that I forgot to ask my question! I did watch the entire video (a few times to take notes, etc.) and I was wondering how a color might be added to the cell activator? Once I am more experienced I’d like to use a color. What is replaced in the cell activator or do we just add color with all of the other cell activator ingredients?
Thank you!! 🥰
To change the colour of the cell activator you need to change the ink colour and the acrylic paint colour. Gosh, this video is soooo old I don’t even remember what I used lol
I’d have to watch my own video again lol
@@KanellaCiracoArt Thank you so much!! You used white Liquitex ink and Amsterdam Titanium White. ❤️🥰
@@KanellaCiracoArt ❤️
FYI...I bought the condiment cups at Sams Wholesale for $25ish for a box of 2500 lids and 25ish cups. So around $50 for 2500 sets
Thank you for this video. It was very helpful and your work is beautiful
Omgosh! Love it! That had to be the best and easiest instructional video!! I have been waiting, what seemed like forever for this video, even though it was really only like a week. Thank you! ❤❤❤❤
hahah Melanie - yes, only about a week lol
U R an Exceptional Teacher. Thank you
BRAVO❤️ your a great teacher, after 3 stores got everything haha, had to improvise No Easy Flow paint here in US SO got a cheap Walmarts name ColorPlace Interior Latex wall & Trim Med/base semi-gloss (says must be tinted) nope don't tint *IT WORKED then no Amsterdam paint SO *Golden titanium white worked only thing think it's a thicker paint added just a touch more Floetrol Very Happy with my first go Thanks you SO SO much haha❤️
you are welcome :)
Awesome video, you made it all very clear ..... thanks !
Lovely to watch. I’ve done the Shelee art course and I’m in Aus 🇦🇺 but great to see the use of different products. Your finished work is so gorgeous x
thanks so much
I'm in Australia..what products does shelee use different please?
Colors are perfect.
Awesome video Kanella❣️
Watching you I think I am using to little colored paint.
I am publishing my video in a minute, sending People your way also.
Thank you for sharing❤️
thanks so much Saskia - watched your video earlier this morning as well... :)
nicely done
Kanella Ciraco Art thanks😘
This episode absolutely flew by - not need to worry about the length when the presentation and information is so interesting.
thank you Lee!
I had no idea she was Australian! I'm definitely going to do the course, I'm a beginner and an Aussie and find it so difficult to find the products used in most of the RUclips videos I watch.
thanks Emma... well you wont have issues finding the products in AUS lol
I have taken the Shelee course and you are correct the FB group is awesome. Your video was sooooooo helpful. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome! Thank you!
I can't believe I found someone in Canada, I've been watching tutorials for awhile and they've been from everywhere in the world but here. Absolutely love all your work, you do such awesome things things with paint! Your cell activator is amazing!!! Do you use the same brand of paint for every colour you make it in? Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
glad you found me! :)
yes, i try to use Amsterdam paints for the CA... but you can always use others as well.. just have to give it a try :)
Time flew by as I watch you and wow thank you for such a great info
Did you see the ALIEN in the paint when you were pouring the green line off first tile? Green looked like bottom lip. (46:17)
Thank you. Best tutorial I've seen so far
Not too long.. All necessary info.. As Mozart said "There's a perfect number of notes."
Tigo is so beautiful, congrats and best wishes for your family, it will be the most amazing journey that you will ever take.. So very thrilled that you are sharing your journey with us for this I thank you. Family is such a beautiful thing. Much love to your family
Not sure what you’re talking about but I don’t believe this comment was for me.
@@KanellaCiracoArt I'm so sorry I sent the wrong message to you and I think your comment was a little rude about paying more attention to whom I'm sending a message to ,you may be right maybe I should but I just had major surgery and have lost my right hand therefore trying my best to do with my left hand and making a lot of mistakes. You talk about other c people making rude comments to you and honestly your comment gas changed the way I see you, maybe you should take a step back off your high horse and choose your words more carefully, your very good however there are plenty more people I can learn from. I may have 1 hand but not giving up on anything I love doing. You won't have to worry you won't hear nothing from me again.
It would have been so cool if the ding on your phone happens as the iridescent mix dropped in
bhhahahah now that would be funny lol
Well done Kanella. Very interesting and thorough tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
Please dont apologize for the length of the video. You are teaching a new skill--"Rome wasnt built in a day" and new skills can't be taught in 15 minutes. Great job!!
thanks Mary!
That is an amazing method. Beautiful results
Super informative video one of the most organized detailed must watch videos I’ve seen to date
Love these! Please, don't apologize for the length of the video. That is just more info that helps us, and is SO appreciated.
Looks gorgeous 😊
Watched this twice! Thanks for holding the products up to the camera so we can take a pic! Well done and thank you!!!! 😍
After spending roughly $9,767,083.00 on other materials I can finally see the light at the end of the Bloomin' tunnel!
THANK YOU Kanella 💚💜💚 !!!
Hi, Kanella. I actually watched this right before Tammy's Live (100K). I wish I'd seen this before the course. You are incredibly thorough! and I loved this video. Watched the whole thing and took notes. Thank you so much!
Absolutely fantastic video, thanks so much for taking the time. Mike
Glad you enjoyed it!
I am just learning, your videos have really helped. Still making mistakes but learning. Thanks again! @@KanellaCiracoArt
Thank You for your explanations and BEAUTIFUL jewels of art. You are an EXCELLENT TEACHER and a GREAT ARTIST. I have seen dozens of tutorials and this one is my favorite. Puerto Rico.
Thank you so much! I really want to try a bloom. Consistency is a huge issue, my 3 year old Behr paint is so thick. I didn’t know how to thin it. I’ve watched several other vids, and yours is the best!
This is a VERY old video. See video 504 for a much updated version
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!! Can't wait to try your recipe. I cut up old towels & wet them to clean my gloved hands - the paper towels stick to my gloves. This is a very messy project ! I have been at this for over 2 months after watching Shelee's course & cannot for the life of me GET THIS... Using regular Floetrol is the way I want to go as the Australian Floetrol is not available here in the USA. The video goes by so quick - filled with info !!!
Kanella, you are the reason I started acrylic pouring. Fantastic education in all of your videos!!
AWESOME VIDEO. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your knowledge. Information can never be enough.
This video was awesome Kanella. Your explanation was clear and concise and perfect in length for the valuable content you shared with us. Thank you thank you🙏🏼👩🏻🎨🎨🦋 Kimi
Love this video and so refreshing not to see adverts popping up all the time. Thank you.
Wow!! That was intense! I loved every minute of it! Thank you SO, SO MUCH for doing this!!! You are amazing!!
Very pretty, I love your bubbly character!
Thank you for this wonderful video!!! Don't worry about long videos, you are doing a great job explaning everything! Thank you again
thanks Keila
Thank you sooo much for all the Canadian recipes. I saw somewhere to add drops of vodka and cells actually do multiply. I just want you to know how much I appreciate your videos. Thanks again
What a waste of vodka. My sis buys 2 bottles of vodka she uses the vodka for cleaner.
Carol Line you only use 15 drops. I’ve had one of those tiny bottles and have been using it for three months!
Awesome tutorial thanks for sharing
Omg I love 💘 your videos and sense of humour!!! I'm still learning how to do flip cups...
You did an absolutely perfect job, you don’t need to apologize so much....😀😀yes you usually do shorter videos.
But... at the beginning you explained this was going be long, you’re showing a new technique & it’s not something quick I prepared myself and I enjoyed it.
I can’t wait to see round tile done ❤️😊
I love that I can follow the links to anything you use being Canadian. It's not so easy to find things for us Canucks, especially in a small town like where I am where the nearest Michaels etc is a 2 hour drive. Still good to know where to go though. Everything is gorgeous, I'm not usually a pink fan but I think those were my faves
ouch! that'a a long drive to Michaels!
@@KanellaCiracoArt yes it is
Ms. Kanella I love it, love it, love it, thanks for sharing, you're the best 🙂💖💖💖💖
I enjoyed this tutorial soooo much. Not too long you did an excellent job and very helpful. I will try definitely.
Wow! This was a GREAT video! Very clear, comprehensive, easy to understand instructions and not too long at.all. Seriously, I would have watched this for another hour. THANK YOU!
aww thanks Lisha
