    I really hope yourself and everyone else in the mechatronics realize how fundamental you are Chris in the base line of our future! Bravo ! Thank you for all the hard work and for sharing your extensive knowledge. oh, to be even a quarter of your cleverness would make me smile. And remember the answer is 42. Cheers.

    Thanks Chris for that great updates. I sadly still havent had the chance to complete my cnc mill so that I could produce the robot parts in aluminium. But this summer it will surely happen and then I will build one AR4 to play around with. Cause I really love your project!

    Thanks!!! I have been trying to write arduino code for my part feeder to feed the robot. This will make interfacing everything much easier!

    Thank you Chris ! Can axis 8 and 9 be used to drive left and right wheel of a wheelchar to give the robot independent chassis . Will software be completable to do it in real time with bearable latency ?

    i have a question about the 7, 8, 9 axis - can it be defined a s a synchronous rotary axis?

    • @anninrobotics
      @anninrobotics  Год назад +1

      Yes I believe you can calibrate and use 7, 8 and 9 for anything you need.

    Chris, amazing work. Im from Chile, and im about to purchase the AR4 Robot arm kit . I want to make highspeed videos (slow motion) with my CHRONOS HD 2.1 camera. Do you think this is possible? How fast can this robot can move? Thanks!

      Hello, Many people use the robot for cinematography applications. Here is a video illustrating the robot speed. ruclips.net/video/qjtNjkFL3us/видео.html Please email me if I can help with any other questions.

      @@anninrobotics thanks!! Can this robot movements ir positions be teached by hand ?

    • @anninrobotics
      @anninrobotics  Год назад

      Hello, the robot can't be physically drag to position due to some of the mechanics and gearboxes. It's more like an industrial robot where you jog the robot and teach positions but you can also use offsets and vision control and things like that

    • @anninrobotics

      There are a lot of ways it can be done. I'm using the encoder library to monitor the actual steps and compare commanded vs achieved at the end of a move. All the code is free to download at anninrobotics.com

    Do you have any debounce circuit on limit switches or just do debounce in a software?

    • @anninrobotics
      @anninrobotics  Год назад +2

      It's handled in the software. The switch is wired with the NO contact to ground to eliminate floating voltage issues and then when it's high during the routine it overdrive a few motor steps and then verifies the signal is high.

    • @anninrobotics
      @anninrobotics  Год назад +2

      The PC control software does need to maintain a USB connection to the robots control board. I'm sure the PC could be operated remotely, probably a few different ways.
