😂😂😂
🤧💯
omg 😂😭👍
😂😂
Yeah I can relate to this 😅
I read "The Hobbit" for the first time when I was eight years old. I was totally hooked! My mother spent one summer hunting through yardsales and used book stores, and found all the trilogy, plus several other things, ( including a book of early sheet music!) And she wrapped them all and gave them to me for my tenth birthday! It was so wonderful!
Awww!!!That is so sweet 🤩🤩
Can a 8 years kid understand the language of Tolkien.! Can't believe.
What do you do now?
I hate when they put actors from a movie adaptation on the cover of a book. Keep them seperate.
Especially since the film adaptation(s) for the Hobbit sucks.
Harry Potter. Nostalgia hits hard, I have both In my Mongolian language and English language.
same. all my friends read it at 10. i read it at 12. dude the story line is amazing!
@@manalbutt7059is it really that good? I have still not read it
Yeahh😭
The Lord of the Rings. I always thought movies were the greatest but damn the amount of lore in the books is insane. They're definitely amazing!
They are truly amazing👌👌
Absolutely. Generally the way Tolkien writes is amazing. He conveys history, atmosphere, dread, even suspense and humor really well. I actually chuckled at some interactions (Gollum dropping the fish after Faramir calls him out on having hunted in the forbidden pool) and was so immersed that I actually forgot about something in the story and had genuine „oh sh!t“ Moments (the nazgul suddenly appearing at the edge of the dell below weather top and Gollum attacking Sam in Shelob‘s Lair). Love the films, but the book is actually so much more than the films could ever be.
Definitely the world created by Tolkien is quite immersive and adventurous to read and can never be topped by movies.
@@book.thangs Definitely. But they did an amazing job adapting it to screen. Even The Hobbit films. PJ & Co. have an amazing eye for things that work on screen and things that don’t and even though they changed so many many details, they still managed to get Tolkien’s story across really well.
That is so true!!!! Usually that’s not the case for series based on books.
The folk of the air is the one i regret not reading sooner. This series is my comfort series and love it ❤
The Count Of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas❤❤❤
Facts tho that is such an amazing book
Yeah
We had to read it in French class. I didn‘t understand a thing, which makes the book worse for me unfortunately. 😂
@@GrandAdmiralMitthrawnuruodo I had a similar experience with Lord Of The flies Even though I read it in English, I did not understand what was going on half Of The time and it did not help That I hated The book from chapter 1 because Of That and because I was really really bored…
The Hobbit is my comfort book.
It was the first book of Tolkien I read and the first one from Tolkiens books i reread in English. It is so wholesome and funny and still has depht in it ( especially after reading the Silmarillion). It too has the perfect lenght and thus weight of a book to constantly carry it with oneself (i found it rather difficult to do so with Lord of The Rings).
And the language! I am in love with Tolkiens writing style.
Yeah the world he creates is very immersive!!!
Yeah. The Hobbit is such a fantastic adventure story.
Atlas Shrugged
Mine is The Power of Now. I read it 20 years ago and multiple times since. I only wish I read it even sooner.
What’s it abt??
@@book.thangsThe Power of Now.
That would be "To Sir, with Love" or "My Family and other animals" for me
Me too tbh i watched lord of the rings fellowship as a kid was bored cause its a lot of dialogue the rewatched it as an adult and binged the rest and bought all the books and binged them in 2 weeks
Percy jackson and the Olympians
The accident hero, it's the sequel to my favorite book that I got at a thrift store, didn't know it existed for half my life
The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien, is my favorite book but now I'm reading Lord of the Rings
I am getting to that now!!!😁😁
Reading The Lord of the rings is wonderful the only complaint is that it's too long and it's not long enough.
Aru shah and the end of time, the one and only Ivan, Escape Mr Lemoncello’s Library, By the great horned spoon, and many others
1984 George Orwell
The Starless Sea
Mine is serwa boatengs guide to vampire hunting
if you are gonna dive into fantasy I would suggest DIVE hard, Ursula is also a very good beginning point and Sanderson stands as the undisputed goat of high fantasy. Do give them a try, the immersion is incomparable :)
Solid I think I was nine when my mom first showed me the audiobook of this and I listened to it so many times that my mom literally started grounding me from it😂
Red Rising.
Incredible series
I may have liked it better if I read it sooner. But I read the Hobbit when I was older before the movie, and I can't get over the fact that they let the entirety of the direct line of Durin go on the quest...all I can think of is Designated Survivor
This was my first book I read when I hit 13, it’s good but I’m more of a Stephen King guy, Im currently reading Billy Summers, and it’s my 8th book from S.K. My favorite is probably The Shining.
Stephen King is one of the best horror writers for sure 👑
I’m late but it would probably be ‘The Book Thief’ or ‘The Last Time I Lied’ because they’re just both amazing in their own ways
The book thief was awesome
I 100% agree I can’t wait to read it, but I accidentally started reading the Fellowship of the ring first so I have to fish the trilogy before I can.
That’s not a problem😁😁, you can comeback and read anytime👍🏻👍🏻
Same for me too. I just started reading fellowship of the ring. I think I will read the Hobbit next and then the other parts
@@bhoot123 sounds like a good plan to me. 👍😄

The Ring series by Koji Suzuki. Far from perfect books but I enjoyed the series more than I ever expected to.
Ring (1991)
Spiral (1995)
Loop (1998)
Birthday (1999)
Nothing like the movies. Somewhat dated in a lot of ways but it's such an engaging trilogy that blends Sci Fi and horror in a way I've never seen, with each entry getting more insane and technological than the last. The inclusion of the 4th book was also really cool in it's structure. Instead of telling a bunch of random stories in the film's universe, suzuki used the short story to tell a prequel story to Ring, a midquel story to spiral, and a sequel to Loop
I can say almost for certain that the series is batshit crazy and almost completely unadaptable. I still haven't read book 5 "S" and book 6 "Tide" is yet to be translated to English but I hope it is someday.
Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll be sure to try
On the opposite specturm a book that I am glad I did NOT pick up sooner is the Malazan book of the fallen. Its not for an young reader just beginning the journey
Read it as a kid, and loved it to bits
for me it would have to be the 39 clues maze of bones (only I have right now), it's so good and it's really a shame I missed out on all the web stuff they had for it!
The undrowned it’s so good
I just finished reading the whole series last month for the first time. I'm so glad I waited until I could appreciate the full lore and world building.
asoiaf
the show i saw and never got into books to avoid spoiler but in 2020 covid i read them i have to say its amazing
mostly because i am jon snows fan it was great to read Jon's thought and his mind set
he is an loner so most of dialogues are in his mind which is very difficult to show on screen
Definitely the shifter series
" Rich Dad Poor Dad " + I'm reading right now " The 100 A Ranking Of The Most Influential Persons In History "
MY ELA CLASS READ THAT WERE PLANNING TO WATCH THE MOVIE FOR THE LAST DAY IM SO EXCITED AAAAAAAAH
Silmarillion
The Dark Tower series Stephen King. I saw the cover of 4th book I think. Wizard and Glass and I thought it was a fantasy novel and didn't realize it was something else. Most books I didn't care about the cover but I started reading Stephen King young and on the shelf when I was a little older was this book that didn't seem like one I wanted to read. So I didn't. Then I did . It was good. I don't care for his newer books but I do like his older ones and loved this series.
That was a pretty good book!!!✨✨
I was LITERALLY thinking 'The Hobbit'. I started reading it only last week, and I've almost finished it. Its beautifully cozy, I love it.
The Martian
The Sun and The Star is top of my list
The 2nd book of cruel prince😢 I wanted to read in a printed version but I couldnt find out english version in my country😭😭😭😭 but now I'm addicted to classic Leo Tolstoy War and Peace
My teacher said that last year with her old Year6 class ~ keep in mind I was in YEAR5 ~ and she said “ last year we didn’t Get to finish the hobbit so choose a new one “ everyone immediately said HOLESSS 😂😂😂

For me it is The Scion of Ikshvaku
That’s an absolute banger!!!
Thanks!!🙏🙏

Unpopular option, I hated the books and loved the movies. I was PISSED when Tolkien didn't write out the battle of the 5 armies. I read that in 5 months, it was hard to finish.
Acotar series!
If the money spoke ( refugee for money ) the best book

Not a Wake.
Its quirk is that it's constrained writing, but it uses every letter in the English Alphabet.
Every word, from beginning to finish, lines up perfectly with the decimal value of Pi:
3.141592653589...
Now I fall...
3 1 4
OH MY GOD!!! I hv to check that out
The Book Thief. It was AMAZING.

THE WESTING GAME
It was my novel book for 7th class 😅 learning questions answers were not as fub
Mine was the outsiders, I read it when it wasn’t popular anymore 😭
I think the LotR series and The dwarves series are like that for me. Tom Bombadill for the win
Moby Dick I think it’s exciting it is but I waited so long because everybody complained about how boring it was. I read it in quarantine you know that one year where everybody was locked down I like it a lot.🐳🐋
