Mirrors were a great buy and work perfectly. Was pleasantly surprised to see the directional function working since I didn’t have that feature with the original mirrors. I went and purchased the wiring harness to light up the running light feature on the mirrors also. Easy install with this also.
I added these a couple weeks ago - now I can see what's behind me. The manufacturer supplied a color coded wiring diagram if you wanted to add puddle or clearance lights but that means pulling the door inner panel off to access the wiring. I suspect that there is a pigtail/connector there that is 22 to 8 pin that you need to tie into or find a Ford ($$$) 22 pin pig tail.
Is the vibration pretty bad? Does the glass seem to shake when you're driving? I've been looking at this set, and that's the deciding factor for me. Thanks for your thoughts.
the fob lights work but how about signals? signals on mirrors are ever so helpful specially if its extended or a wide load.. seems to me if the fob light works the signal lights should work as well? like to know this for sure
Timothy Ryan make sure you buy them with our link so we get a kickback! They really are awesome mirrors, they have been on the truck for about a week now.
I've been scouring the internet and so far all I can is no. So far all I know is that ford is even the only company to offer OEM chromatic tow mirrors and they are only on Lariat and up/ f-250. With this year of GM they are also offering it on upper trims. Not sure why the feature can't be brought over more easily.
For this model if you have the lariat or higher you would need an adapter however, at that point you'd be better purchasing an OEM equivalent model. IF you have the XL and XLT model and DONT want to rewire to house OEM version then these are for you
I’d replaced the ones in my excursion from the same manufacturer after the driver side was broken and the first set the large mirror was so loose when I drove the truck it give me a headache they send a second set and the defrost didn’t work so I ended up buying oem from the local dealer of course they’re expansive but I knew those were going to work just fine
@@hezzryhmoe1509 I’m not sure if your truck is wired from them but the plug should be the same. I wanna say the plug is an 8pin. Should click in by the lights might not work.
Great video. Me an another F150 just smacked mirrors on a narrow road and both need new ones now...lol. Question, does this have the puddle lights, or was that a "plug" you showed that can be removed to insert a puddle light?
@@OutOfLineGarage Just checked and my xlt has the 22pin, but. I see the company you used does make a 22pin one as well. Just ordered it. Again, thanks for the detailed/great video!
I have a 2020 F150, installed the F250 Tow Mirrors. The Outside Temp sensor in the factory mirror is on the drivers side, the temp sensor in the Tow mirrors in the passenger side. After the install my Check Engine Light is ON because it is not sensing the Temp sensor now. Is there a Fix for this?
Hey I have a 2020 f150 and I'm trying to get some tow mirriors like yours. I just needed some help. I go to the site selling them, but they only have 15-17 04-2014. They have the 2020 ones but it has the chrome cap and I don't want that. I want all black for a 2020 if you or anyone can help me out and point me to the right mirriors.
I bought the same exact mirrors and they work but have extra wires that needed to be connected so I don’t know if that’s to keep the lights running all the time and the mirrors also have a little light underneath but they don’t light up. Is there any tips ?
@@OutOfLineGarage I’ll see but I’m still happy with how they ended up looking. I got a Ford ecoboost its just those extra wires that I don’t know where to put but I’ll see. Thank you for the recommendations of the mirrors ,they look great and still function but I’ll still take a look to see if I can plug it all together👍
Steve B no whistling, very slight wind noise on the highway. Basically have to turn your radio off to hear it at all. So far I like them and seem to be holding up well.
Quick question did you have a check engine light turn on with these or problems with the temperature sensor? I tried reading the comments but couldn’t find one sorry if they asked you this already
Jenaro Mejia what year is your truck? The 18+ trucks have the temp sensor in the mirror, make sure you order a set with the sensor or it will set off the check engine light. The 15-17 don’t have that issue.
Apparently, the only tow mirrors available for my Lariat that maintain all functions (BLIS, camera, spotlight, power fold, etc..) are actual OEMs. Looks like I need to find $3k in my budget.
All Ford style OEM or aftermarket mirrors will shake when you have them extended. OEM is best but prices range $600-$900-$1250 this depends on what dealer you buy from. Definitely an investment if your pulling 14 plus or an enclosed trailer. Good deals at fairwayford.com or Ron dupart wholesale ford parts. Blinkers and heat will work on tow mirrors from ford even without originally having that function on OEM mirrors. Dealers will verify part by vin and tell you that you will have no functions except power mirror glass. Not true, your mirror will come with an 8-22 adapter which will give you signal signal and parking lights, as well as heated mirrors. The light on the heated mirror will not illuminate but you will see it working.
@@RangerTexas90 I know they will work with the regular defrost button. I added remote start so the full defrost, front and back, come on in my situation. Never tested with only the rear.
Someone else on here installed a set of these mirrors....did you have a problem with your ac? Supposedly there is a sensor in the passenger side mirror for the ac...
It really changes the look of the truck!

Amazing and easier than I thought bro. Thanks. I’ll be doing the same they look much better are definitely more functional.

So I just bought a 2015 f150 how do I know if I have 8 pin mirrors or not?
What happens if my current mirrors dont have the turn indicator lights? Do i have to wire that? Or is it plug and play within the 8 pin connector?
Are they heated mirrors ?
Have these standard on my work truck f250. I really want a set for my stx, little blind spot on the oem set is garbage
is the temp sensor in the bottom of the passenger side? Or is it not visible?
Link please to buy them
Well done. Do they have these with the camera for the surround view built in?
My truck’s mirrors didn’t come with turn signals. Will this require additional wiring?
No clue tbh. If you have an XLT or higher you probably have the wiring already.
Did you find out? I have the same question
Nope
@@christph3118 thank you.
These still working all these years later? Any issues?
Still on the truck and working great. No issues besides the turn signals slightly yellowing.

Nevermind, I looked at the link , I'll be getting a set
Timothy Ryan make sure you buy them with our link so we get a kickback! They really are awesome mirrors, they have been on the truck for about a week now.

Do they shake going down the road alot of after market mirrors shake
When they are extended they do a little. Nothing horrible

I bought a set off Amazon. Nice mirrors. But the top mirror shakes. I can’t get over this. I took them off. Currently sitting on my garage floor.
These don't work with higher trim models had 2 send mine back the spot light function didn't work
After using do you have any mirror shaking? I bought a aftermarket pair before and it was bad.
When it’s extended it shakes a little but nothing super major or annoying.

I am also curious if the heated mirror feature in the new mirrors actually work, and if the original mirrors were heated.

Does that bottom mirror help and act as a blind spot detector?
Yup! I love the bottom section of the mirror. You can see the next lane over plus the lower cars next to you.
The convex mirror on bottom is essential for pulling trailers. It makes things so much easier.
How can you tell if your truck is 8 pin or 22 pin?
All you have to do is pop off the cover and disconnect the connector. Then count the number of pins in the connection.
