    As someone who was gifted a RF P300-12 and has zero experience in the car audio profession. I have a lot of respect for you and this video. Although I have no idea how to install this myself or understand any of the terminology you used, I appreciate your work. With that being said, I will now resort to paying someone to install this for me. Thank you.

Now if they are going to take the signal from the head unit that would take longer because that would have to come out then. • @tstorcz
      @tstorcz  2 года назад +1

      You don't have it wired right. There is a blue wire that can be used for the amp on the box. This needs to wire into the Remote On/ Off from the deck. If you are not sure better take it into a stereo place to have checked out. You will burn up the amp from having it on all the time.

    • @algebruh_m8652
      @algebruh_m8652 Год назад

      My sub came with a grey remote wire. If you have an aftermarket stereo head unit, they usually have a remote wire connection to plug external subs. That let's the sub know when to turn on and off. If not, find another source of power that stays on when the ignition is on, and when the car turns off, the sub does too

    • @tstorcz
      @tstorcz  Год назад

      @@algebruh_m8652 When the wire is tapped into the speaker leads like I did, you don't need that wire when the sub in on the proper setting. It will recognize the signal from the speaker tap to turn the amp on and off. It's in the instructions.

    • @algebruh_m8652
      @algebruh_m8652 Год назад

      @@tstorcz Mine also comes with that option, it turns on when it detects signal from the RCA cables right? Tried to use that option when my remote wire was disconnected because I was messing around with the head unit but no matter what I did the subwoofer did not turn on. Had to open up the head unit panel and reconnect the remote wire

    • @tstorcz
      @tstorcz  Год назад

      No you actually would get the turn on signal from the wire you tap into from the speaker. Another option you cand get a wire harness kit for your make a model car and plug into the head unit and then the factory wiring. This would be a plug and play wire kit that would give you a turn on signal wire that then you could use the wire provided to turn on the amp. You can see I have NO RCA cables plugged into mine because I tapped into the speaker wires. I never took out the head unit.

      The sub comes with Velcro to put on the bottom. That keeps it from sliding. Then I fastened a couple of tie down D-ring fasteners to the top corners of the back of the box. Used a couple of 15" ( good quality ) bungee cords, crossed them ( like an "X" ) and hooked them to a couple of opening circles on the back deck. Also put one D-hook at the center ( top/ back ) of the box and another screwed into the top metal deck. Used some hard wire ( like a twist tie ) to keep it from rocking back. The box ix very secure.
