The other Thing thats very important to consider Especially in Pyro is the Cool down time. If you have a high cool down and you get ripped out of Quantum that cool down time is going to hurt.
Efficiency is just a quick way of summarizing the more detailed stats. Looking at individual stats will get you the best result. If you know what is most important to you - speed, distance, cool down, power consumption, etc... - efficiency will take care of itself. If you're choosing only on efficiency you may end up disappointed.
There are so many considerations you need to make when choosing components. It's not just speed or distance traveled, especially when going through Pyro. You need to be looking at emissions, cool down times and how much power consumption. Emissions will dictate how far away you'll be spotted. Cool down times will affect how many jumps you can manage in a short time frame which will be important if you're trying to get away from a pursuit. Lower cool down times mean you can make 3-5 jumps in the time someone following you may take to make 1-2. Power consumption will matter a lot moving forward, especially when weapons are available at all times. Also, this will affect weapon loadout and which components you can run at max power or what systems you'll want to shut down and when. In short paying attention to power consumption when picking out parts means less time you'll need to spend fiddling with power management. The big one that they haven't actually implemented yet is coolers. They are there but don't effect anything and all the sites (SP Viewer and Erkul) are especially bad at calculating IR emissions. The coolers that offer the best cooling give off the highest IR emissions and depending on how many your ship has may not cool the components you want to use in future. Lastly Erkul, UEX and other sites are not up to date on where to find components. This means the community will have to get better at communicating this info to each other.
Exactly, in the video I said the ones that are right now most important, for now you can only fly in pyro. I never discuss something that is not implemented in the game. o7
I'm not sure why your picking military qt drives for the Carrack. The Kama had much better stats than the one you picked. For Corvette class ships or higher, go for range. I can't remember the last time I used a military drive, just not worth it.
He was simply highlighting different components to show the contrasts. You might have missed the part where he mentioned that we now have options. Also, since you're into calling people out, you misspelled 'your'-it should be 'you're,' as in 'you are.'
@Hanger42 Ah yes, my mistake. I completely miss that one. If I would have known I was in the presence of such greatness I would have paid better attention. It must be such an honor to be in the class of people that never make spelling mistakes, or misses an autocorrect that they didn't want. It is such a pleasure to meet you, I didn't know there were any perfect people left....
@infinitespace239 actually after thinking about it, I have used military drives for my Vanguard in the past. Like he said, they are good for quick response or bounties. I've just never seen the reasoning for putting them on cargo or exploration ships. Of course now it looks like they will be a bit harder to find

You are forgetting one new factor. QT fuel is going to be much more expensive…so how efficient it is now matters.
Very true. I’m curious to see how big of a role this will play.
Yeah I've found efficiency is what matters

@@ericwatson9152 yeah but time is money too... and A versions are all more efficient than C or D versions
With this new distinction between components, theorycrafting to optimize your ship has a bright future ahead!
XL-1 got a range buff, even better now
Where did you find it? Not seeing it at orison in 4.0
@@whatever833 look at Erkul
@@whatever833 they removed xl1s from shops
Where can we buy XL1 from now ?
@@Vaydor08 I guess you can earn them now in congtested zones, or how they are called
Thanks for this! Not as convenient, but I'm glad to see that there will be advantages to using a variety of drives and not just "all S1 get an Atlas."

I'm new to this game explaining components is very helpful thanks.
Glad to help! o7
Finally!Heavy ships should QT drive way faster than smaller once
They always have

I love the military for speed and components HP. I feel safer with them. But as I said, this is now just an option. o7

Great vid , also you can do for other components as well? Fele free to include many popular ships :)
That's the plan! Would love to do shields next. Thanks mate. o7
best to use a big ship with big fuel tanks
I see a picture of the Zeus on the thumbnail - I click on it.
Thanks for the info!Do u know when Luminalia starts?
It should start soon in a few days. 12 days before Christmas I think. o7
I'm pretty sure military components will only be available in contested zones.
параметр расхода топлива: я для тебя шутка?
Efficiency = расход топлива
@SamboBeast efficiency - эффективность. qt. fuel req. - сколько требуется топлива т.е - расход топлива.
