This reminds me so much of getting my cutlass black from my cutter a couple weeks ago. It really changes the game, i just wish all the dang bugs were fixed so i could consistently do my drug destroying missions.
C1 is going to be the low-tier (above starter, below mid-tier) "halo ship." It was _all over_ the 1.0 stuff during CitCon. No way they would use a ship they don't intend to "gold standard" or push heavily in marketing promos and "concept mockups." Either that, or it's the dogwater ship nobody likes and they use it in mockups because geometry. It's really a toss-up, now that i'm thinking about it.
Hey there, if you want to fit the cementivac in the C1... First thing you're going to need is to shoot off the wheels. Then you're going to use a Max lift tractor beam to put it into the C1
Really want a C1 but it’s soo expensive. If you buy a ship with in game cash and crash it, can you still claim it back like when you buy one for real money as a pledge?
Its very sad that an Ursa Rover cannot fit, else this ship would 100% be my daily driver. The cargo bay could totally fit one, unfortunately, the ramp is too small. That coupled with the fact that it doesn't have a 2nd door to get to the flight deck makes me shy away from this ship.
The second part is pretty typical for its size. Cutlass doesn't have a second way in unless you count the side doors, which this ship is similar to. Ursa fits in the Freelancer though.
2nd door is 2nd point of failure. chunkier vehicles not fitting is pretty silly. If the CSV-FM doesn't fit that would just be unacceptable since they said they designed it to fit in a broad range of ships, during the same CitCon that the spirit was plastered all over all the mockups/concept arts. It would be almost as unacceptable as if the starter base builder grav cart _can't_ fit in the intrepid, despite them explicitly stating it should fit in almost every ship... and it fits in a cutter. That would just mean the intrepid is actually poorly designed/designed in a vacuum instead of taking into account the rest of the game, which is "amateur hour" developing.
Check out the Zeus CL. Same size/class of ship as the C1 but it has a better interior, multiple entrances/exits, and can carry 120 scu of cargo compared to the C1’s only 64.
When I had the CL I ended up feeling fairly disappointed with how hard it is to fill it's cargo grid. I'd honestly prefer the C1 if just for ease of loading even if it has a lower "full" load. I bet you could almost make two runs in the time it takes for the Zeus to do one full load, or if you aren't worried about cramming in every bit of cargo the easiest amount is barely over that of the C1's. I think for me personally it's going to come down to it's price in game once it comes in
I would recommend a C8R for a medical. Yes a full actual ship but price and capability check it out. Onboard vehical fornthe C1, a Pulse, STV- small fast easy with small storage internal and a couple weaon rack (1 size two by each seat) or a base Cyclone - for back carries a 1SCU loot box.
Bikes/buggies need to be able to "stow/lock" incap players/NPCs. Nobody wants to try and land a whole ship in the middle of a forest, or tractor/hand-drag them multiple KMs to the ship/bed
You can fit it if you shoot off the wheels and use the large tractor beam. It’s takes some fiddling but once it’s in you can store your ship and you’re fine until you lose your ship. I have one in my ship currently.
It’s funny how opinions can vary so wildly they feel almost like fact even when they aren’t. For example, I can respect how our opinions differ on the spirit, but in my mind it is one of the worst, laziest, dumbest ship designs in the game. I even have a more than mild animosity towards it. Some dickhead attached huge wings to a bottle and cut a flap in the back. One way in and out, narrow tube with gigantic wings. It’s trash level design only compacted by its proponents having convinced cig marketing to influence the far superior and more well thought out design of the Zeus by having them arbitrarily narrow the entrance at the back in order to stop it from fitting the Ursa, making it a difficult and convoluted experience to pack with cargo. That’s my opinion though. Here you come along and seem to truly like and feel some sense of affection for the Spirit and because I feel some strongly about my pov I have to force myself to respect yours as you give he genuine sense that you like the ship and how it works. Thanks for the vid and remember, my negative pov on the spirit is not intended as any disrespect for your equally valid and diametrically opposed viewpoint. Liked and subbed.
when is te C1 fad going to die??? its supposed to compete with the freelancer and black. problem is it is a terrible attempt as the black and freelancer has more guns, more dps, and better cargo access as the c1 has a big bay but small door, only 2 guns
C1 has 4xS4 guns* 2 wing, 2 nose. But it's much bigger, has less defense, and has a smaller range of potentially-loadable cargo (specifically, non-grid stowage)
raft > c1 more cargo, more and better looking space with tons of place for extra chairs and places for boxes everywhere, seperate roomy engineering area, double suit locker and comfortable shoilet. still missing its god damn typically slow and forgetful CIG cargo beam addition, outside cargo for faster loading. only downside you cant pick a vehicle except a murai, which fits neatly into the airlock which is also a secondary exit and entry when in EVA. cockpit view is also much better, you can look down below through some grid and be sure you're landing perfectly even in first person. neither are capable of fighting so the raft is just the better ship, or rather would be if CIG would get their ass in gear and update it to what it was supposed to be.
@@FlamingTacos28 it's just my personal fav so i will shill for it lol. sadly suit lockers and cargo beam non-functional so they are more of a nice fantasy. but having 4 lockers is wild at that size and prize range, when that time finally comes. c1 obviously has its upsides to the raft, just a preference really. if you do want to do combat with small cargo ships in that range the c1 can be better off, personally i just don't think it's good enough that it's a great point. i'd even go so far to sell the guns on the raft, thats how little i think it matters. best part really is the vehicle carry ability, and i think if that's really important, for mining for example, then c1 wins out. if it's just to get around faster on ground though, and a pulse is enough, then the raft still got that much room.
Star Citizen. A dream project of Chris Roberts who is best known for Wing Commander game series. It's in alpha state for now but they've been making playable releases since 2013. Back then we just had a hangar where you could go and sit in your ship :) Still years away from being ready for general audience but can be quite an experience just flying around.
Just remember, if you look into this, its huge rabbit hole with many thoughts and opinions. Think for yourself and come to your own conclusion. The best way to know for sure is to play the game for yourself. Be warned, its janky due to the nature of its scope/scale, detail and development.
Seems logical to me. Blow the credits you have now, to learn what you like and don't. So you know what you want in the next iteration of the economy/grind.
I agree if you are looking for a pure cargo ship, but C1 spirit offers versatility in more day to day activities such as combat and aforementioned vehicle hauling
I had the C1 in my hangar for a while until the F7A token, now I have the Intrepid.... the C1 is actually better than the intrepid. Intrepid is mostly a shuttle. That can box run, sometimes... For context. Some of the the smallest, entry-level hauling missions (XS) have more cargo than the intrepid is even able to carry. This means as a starter, you can only do SOME starter hauling missions in a single trip; despite it being a "starter hauler" ship.... Which is objectively and unacceptably amateurish for a studio that's been around for 10 years... BUT very on-par for a studio that's been around for 10 years and _still_ doesn't know what the final vision for the flight model will be. It's also very reasonable if Intrepid was [most likely] an "on-boarding" project, like the storm tank was

Yep insurance is not implemented into the game yet and you can retreive any ship you buy for free :)

Get the hull A instead off the c1 spirit as much better easy to unload has more range only down side is no as tanky
