Thank you for taking the time to make this comprehensive video my friend. I just purchased this intake for my 2013 IS 350 a couple days ago. I’m looking forward to installing it and seeing how she sounds. Any thoughts on bushings? I’m thinking some R&R racing bushings. I’ve been told they will help keep the car in perfect alignment which is apparently an issue with the F-Sport suspension.
You’re welcome and thank you for watching. You’re gonna love the sound of it. Specially at 3k rpm. I just went with RC-F bushings because I thought that the car would be too stiff with f sport performance shocks/springs but I realized that the car isn’t that stiff after installing those f sport performance shocks/springs so I might upgrade to figs or RR racing bushings soon. You can’t go wrong with either.
You should remove that mesh that’s on the top part of the box. Adds better sound and more air flow. U don’t need it. A lot of cars don’t have it
Yes I can but I just prefer to leave it there. The engineers put that mesh there so dirt don’t get inside the engine just in case the filter fail.
Did you notice an increase in fuel consumption with f sport air intake?? Or it's just a look and sound only
Not at all. Lexus claimed the F Sport air intake gives you an extra 5 hp but it’s nothing that you can feel. It’s pretty much for look and sound mostly.

Troy Davis F-Sport air intake is the best one. Or you can get RR Racing carbon fiber tube and F-Sport bottom box and filter.

Did your check engine light turn on , my check engine turn on after 5 days later of me installing it , the computer says it’s o2 sensor but I recently change those . Any answers ?
No my check engine light never came on. Perhaps you just have a bad O2 sensor which has nothing to do with the intake unless something is wrong with the mass air flow sensor. If you recently changed your O2 sensor then you need to check your mass air flow sensor that is connected to the air intake.
You could try cleaning you MAF sensor? Or just check that it’s plugged in properly
I bought the rr racing intake for my is250 but they say it’s as good as the f sport or Takeda and much cheaper as well ! I only have a muffler delete so let’s see with intake
You can get the RR Racing carbon fiber tube but I recommend buying f sport lower box to pair with it.

What’s the difference between other cold air intakes I’m gonna buy one for my is 250 but I’m not sure which one to go with
What year is your IS250? All these air intakes sound identical but the ones that sit by the engine bay just suck hot air. I prefer this F-Sport air intake, JoeZ, and RR Racing. You would still need the f sport lower box and filter for JoeZ and RR Racing
Do you recommend the F Sport Intake system? Any gain in power or is it just sound? Thank you!
I highly recommend it. I love the sound of it but I can’t hear it anymore since I have a Catback exhaust now. I dynoed this car with 269 wheel horsepower and 245 wheel torque with the F-Sport air intake only so idk if there’s any gain or not but you’ll definitely love the sound

regdondada The tube isn’t the only thing that make the sound, you’re gonna need the F-Sport lower box that has the hole underneath. Tube part numbers: PTR03-53083 and Lower box part numbers: PTR03-53081
You can find them off eBay or Lexuspartsnow

Have you done the struts on this vehicle yet? I have the exact vehicle but can’t decide which struts to go with
Are you talking about strut bar suspension? I’ve haven’t done anything to my suspension because I’m installing new 19 inch wheels soon. I need to see how the car look with 19 inch wheels so I can make a decision. I might just go with F-Sport shocks and springs since I don’t wanna drop it too low. I do have f-Sport sway bars and chassis brace on the car.
