    I own F15 since brand new. It has been a reliable work horse since new till lately. My car done 170k km. There are a number of major components are due for replacement. I had my rear air absorber replaced RM6000 only part, EGR delete and DPF cleaned RM 18,000. Water pump leaked RM5500 at 80k km.
    Last month at 170k km I replaced these parts fails due to old age AUC sensor RM 800 part only. Xenon head lights RM1200/ pair part only. 2nd century battery RM3000 part only. Low boost defect= intake manifold RM12000(labour+part)+ pressure converter RM5000 + EGR coolant fix RM3000. Catalytic converter cracked, removed CAT RM3000.
    Low profile tyre hit pot hold cussed the tyre exploded and damaged speed sensor RM2000 part only.
    Most minor repairs I DIY. I Drive normal like most family person and don’t drive hard. I used fuel and oil since day 1. I replace engine oil every 9000km instead of what BMW recommended 25k - 30k km.
    Buying second hand is like buying lottery. Sometimes you win but mostly not unless you are a competent DIY and enjoy fixing these issues.

      #I use premium fuel and only Castrol edge DPF oil

    • @chestercheng75

      That's typical wear and tear of BMW. Kind of normal in my personal opinion. BMW oil recommendation is way of chart, don't know how the come to that conclusion

      How old is the car ya? Given it has 170,000 km mileage..I would say those repair/maintenance cost is justified?

    • @vachin100
      @vachin100 2 года назад +2

      @@oTheDucky89o I bought it brand new since 2014. Yes I am not complaining but one must be prepared to spend $$$ on these major components which were basically due for replacement at this mileage and age.

    • @vachin100
      @vachin100 2 года назад

      The point is no matter how well I take care of my F15 being the first and only owner, the baseline of the maintenance cost of this cost is approx 3% of the capital cost of a new F15, definitely not 3% of what you paid on your second hand F15. So don’t get confused

      If it's local model you can check with any BMW dealers. Since 2018 still under warranty, that should be an easy check

    Is there specific drive mode to run with battery? And when the battery power is running out, will it switch automatically to drive mode which running on petrol? Or how does it work. Sorry for my stupid question since I never drive hybrid car before.

      Yes, it's e-Drive. After the battery depleted will auto switch back to petrol

      Looks a good deal, but if the car comes with extended warranty for the battery even better. Anyway, before you buy, take the car in for 360 inspection by BMW specialist

    How much cost of electricity or how much kwh needed for 1 charge?

    • @chestercheng75
      @chestercheng75  Год назад +1

      Well, it depends on where, time and monthly consumption. If at home using residential rate it's a lot cheaper. I'm from Malaysia so my local rates may differ from you. For Malaysian 1st 1-200kwh RM0.21800 subsequently usage from 201kwh-300khw would be RM0.33400 and so forth

    PHEV used car must be avoided! PHEV come with lot of problems + BMW used car itself also come with lot of wear tear and design problems. You will spend $ and time on both of them

    • @chestercheng75
      @chestercheng75  Год назад

      Wear and tear are normal in every car. Design problem that's what we worry. But typically, spare parts tend to be superseded as the car gets older which might help in the future
