That the picture was taken later but the clothings belonged to the photographer? He lent them to Brushy for taking the photo? Or is it for sure that the photo itself is from the year arond 1890 ish?
People that were known to ride with the kid identified Brushy Bill as the Billy the kid they remember. Same eyes, same laugh, same walk,same talk. He knew things that were impossible for anyone to know but the kid. End of story for me

@@Scott-up3bq are you kidding me? He has the exact same ears. Brushy's left ear protrudes, in the tintype its Billy's right ear and yet, remember that tintype is a mirror image so its reversed. So they both had the same ear significantly protruding
And there's no clear image of Billy's ears, to be able to tell if the earlobes were detached or not.
You can also develop a crease there with age, which can make the earlobes look detached.
Type in "Paul McCartney ears" when he was younger he clearly had attached earlobes and as he got older they look detached. People in the "Paul is dead sphere" point this out, but likely its just a crease; because in some of Paul's younger pics, his ears look detached, but it's just the angle and a crease
Not only this, but he reminisced with those old friends about their past. No amount of studying Billy the Kid books would give you the info needed to chat with his old friends, about the past events they experienced together!
Nobody that actually rode with billy ever met brushy bill though. If you're referring to the affidavits then you'll be disappointed to find out that many of them never actually met the historical Billy. Hell, some of them weren't even born until after the kids death 🤷

@@aliasbillythekid awesome, I should note this presentation is really neat, I'm inclined to think someone of the background and character of Brushy would keep a partocular set of fine clothing far longer than the average person (of course preserving the style to seem earlier) being a practical man of modest tastes, but the coin badge is really quite interesting and noteworthy. Never knew about that, that's so specific and unusual I'm surprised I've never heard it mentioned before in regards to that photo of Bill

1887 is the earliest cut; Bill Roberts was 27 thru 27 Dec of that year, and he would've been a U.S. Marshall in the Territory during that year, under the Alias of "William H Carr?" Are we looking at an 1887 U.S. Marshall Bureau Photo of 'William Henry Carr,' Dan??

It's a shame when you present new evidence there will always be someone who read Garrett's comic book they still make an attempt to twist it around. I believe if you could snap your fingers and invite Brushy and Billy back to life and the only guy who would show up was Brushy, they would still deny it.

I've been wondering about the clothing here for a while. It could have single handedly discredited Brushy by proving he wasn't the right age. While it can't definitively prove he's Billy, it's strong evidence in his favor. This is huge. People will inevitably say he's just wearing older clothes though. If you could get the same verification with the other young Brushy pics, it would essentially kill the age debate. Exciting stuff! Great work, good sir 👍
Ask yourself a question: why would he go through the trouble of trying to get the pardon promised to him if he wasn’t Billy the kid?
Very well done as always. Checking the smallest of details. You know Dan, I’ve even heard you say that there are holes in all of the stories including Brushy Bill’s. The more you follow the evidence and verify, it would seem that the only holes in Brushy’s story are those written down in history by the “status quos” historians. I appreciate your due diligence in searching for the truth rather than taking the view that so many have of “they said so in 1881, so it has to be this way.” Same type of lies have been told over two centuries about how Thanksgiving came to be. Right, right, the pilgrims and the Native Americans got together and exchanged recipes and farming tips, then had this terrific feast. They leave out the part where the Native Americans were massacred.
Something else notable about this photo is that Bill seems to have prominent teeth behind his upper lip from the shape of it. This also coincides with Brushy Bill stating that he had a dentist pull them out in his early thirties and he still had them in his possession when he passed.

I've looked at this picture alot but I've always looked at that mustache. If you think about it look at his eyes. They are similar to Billy's and you got to realize he was probably eating more so he looks a little heavier and older. I think it really was Billy

Dan, interesting. But, just because the style of clothes has been dated, it doesn't necessarily mean the photo was taken between the dates. I'm sure a collared shirt etc was still used in early 1900s! Still used now! You can date the photo based on clothes style.
What you describe would be an exception, not the rule. Vintage photos are often dated based on the type of clothing worn.

Your sharp as a tack for a blind man , peoples chins don't keep growing like their nose does this brushy Bill has got a chin twice the size of Billy the kids whole head and there's big eared people everywhere It doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to know Pat garret killed him . There were people claiming they were famous outlaws or had been at Custers last stand popping out of the woodwork back than and this guy is one of them . If he was who he claimed he was there would not a been a Billy the kid he would have been called Billy the "Chin"

Thanks for your kind words. His teeth are behind his lips! :-) seriously, if you look at the tintype of the kid he does have portruding teeth that push out his upper lip. You can see thw same thing in all of Brushys young photos. Thats probably why he grew the mustache in my opinion. It makes it less obvious. Here his mouth is closed.

Interesting, yet, as everything with Brushy, people can say that this is Oliver in a really old coat.
They can, only back then people only had a couple pairs of clothes and they didnt last 20 years. Also, if he could afford a crayon portrait I wouldnt think he would be wearing a 20 year old coat. I tend to think this is probably his Marshal photo.

WHAT? Is up with all the anti Brushy people coming out of the woodwork? In the back of my mind I always though there was a agenda, But now seems really obvious. I never watched Any of that Cooper chic videos because it seemed THAT was her career, but did watch the MAG guy but he lost me with the psychic guy episode which I thought was over the top. Does this have something to do with the one BTK museum (money)? WHO do these people work for? I cannot believe these are just bull headed people resistant to change and have nothing better to do in light of the mess this country is in right now. It is really one sided so there must be a legit reason. I recall hearing the name Big History, is that who is paying these people to spew all the hate.
All I can tell you is that I had someone demand I give them a website and trademark I own (not related) or else they would "turn it over" to some other people and that those people would come after me and "burn it all down" and attack my reputation and Brushy Bill. I refused to give them my property and all of a sudden there were a people attacking me online. The timing is definitely suspicious because my book has been out almost 10 years at this point. Its also obviously coordinated as you point out. Im sure some of the people that disagree are genuine but the stalking, harassment and personal attacks are obvious to everyone at this point and are clearly directed at me personally.

MAG seems to be happy with 'The House Rules History' and using sarcasm and BTK slogans for traffic. You will NEVER discover history with that guy. Still, if you think about it, Billy is is generating the big hits on youtube not MAG. 🙄

Brushy Bill was illiterate. I thought that Billy the Kid could read and write proficiently. I saw one of jia letters in a documentary.

I watched all your videos and was convinced Brushy Bill was probably Billy the Kid. Then I watched several people leaning towards it couldn't be him. What I noticed is all your information supports Brushy Bill's claim but the others not only cover your topics but also a great deal of evidence why it can't be him. It was like listening to a Plaintiff and Defendant and I was the judge. In my opinion the nay sayers present an overwhelming amount of evidence that Brushy Bill was lieing. I listened to recordings and read eye witness testimonies that knew Brushy Bill and said he was well known to be a crazy story teller that most people in town avoided. They said he was always telling everyone he was Billy the Kid and was not hiding it. Even his family members said it was a lie. The only people that said it was him only saw Billy the Kid when they were small children and couldn't possibly know if this old man was him. Anyway, I'll keep an open mind for more evidence. I do believe the photo from Canada is Billy the Kid but being a portrait artist myself, I don't think the known photos of Billy the Kid look like Brushy Bill at 27. The original photo at 21 and Brushy at 27 do not look like the same person to me. Close but not the same. I also don't believe Brushy looked old enough when he died. Again, just my opinion but I sure wish more proof comes to light and it's proven one way or another.
Appreciate the comment. We may disagree on what constitutes evidence and heresay is not evidence. Someone years later wanting to be relevant by saying Brushy Bill told everyone he was Billy the Kid does not jive with the written record between Morrison and Roberts, where Roberts denied it and stated he wanted no publicity. Severo Gallegos was not a "small child", he was 14 years old. Manuel Taylor said the Kid lived and he had a drink with him in Mexico. He was a grown man and prominent. The critics have never to my knowledge ever addressed the STUPEFYING amount of inconsistencies of what happened at Fort Sumner I've covered in my videos alone for over 4 hours nor do they address anything else legitimately. They hang on the stuff you shared which is "his own family said" which is a dramatic overstatement when it was one niece. Someone said today Pittman said that Brushy never lived further than an hour from her, which they didn't provide any evidence for but regardless the census itself shows Oliver's parents moved to AR and Ollie stayed in Texas. Its never what they say it is but welcome to the search, nice to meet you.
Brushy said many times that in later years people would accuse him of being Billy the Kid.. he had to say no, he wasnt the kid, that he was too young, and if pressed on the issue he would say if you know who i am , then youll keep your mouth shut.

A police facial recognition expert has compared these pics and said yes theyre the same person, I.E Brushy is/was Billy the Kid
The groups you refer to sir are those who use Garrett's book as their Bible, when it's a known fact that Garrett was a liar, crook and a thief. Even his own daughter said her dad didn't kill Billy
Generalized Gossip never holds water as well as the Scientific Method & Aristotelian Logical Deduction; the Ollie P Roberts on that 1910 TX enumeration matches exactly what Brushy told Morrison about himself: He assumed the identity of his dead cousin (in 1909), after Ollie's Mom thought Billy was her dead son, Ollie. Indeed, 1910 Ollie's age & Birthplaces of himself & his parents matches what Brushy shared with Morrison: That He was born in Buffalo Gap TX on 27 Dec 1859, and that both of his parents were born in KY.
@@aliasbillythekidI am not 100% convinced one way or the other but I am leaning toward the odds that he wasn't. Like I said, I am keeping an open mind and actually hope it was Billy. I would like to bring up a couple things I notice about Brushy Bills photo at 27. I notice he has a pronounced clef chin which is still very noticable in his old age photo but the known photos of Billy the Kid do not show a cleft chin. The eye shape is also very different. I also noticed that Brushy 's left ear sticks out further than his right and the opposite is seen in the Kid's photos. I took reversed images into account but that's obviously not the case. I don't work for the police but I bet the facial recognition expert can't draw someone's portrait like a real black and white photo like I can. I feel it's a gift few posses and it does give the ability to see the tiniest of details. The facial recognition expert never did say he ran the photos through modern sophisticated programs but only said in his "opinion" it appears to be the same person. Can you clarify if any computers were used? Again, I am open minded and only asking to help my own personal investigation. I really appreciate your research and response.
I moved to Tucson 30 years ago in my 20's from Indianapolis for a few reasons. Mostly the weather and scenery but also partly for the history. I've been to most of the popular and off trail sites in Southern Arizona. Now that I'm a semi-retired RV nomad, I'm going to travel New Mexico to visit all the historical sites in the coming years. I'm fascinated with the possibilities of Billy the Kid theories.

You can rationalize anything but all of the evidence supports exactly what Brushy said. Back then people had one or two pairs of clothes. They didn't last 10 or 20 years. They used them every day. Brushy is clearly late twenties in that pic which would mean if he was Ollie using old clothes the photo would have been taken in 1906. There is no way someone in 1906 is wearing clothes from 1887. She accounted for someone wearing old clothes by stretching it to 1891. What does the bible say? "Strain at a gnat and swallow a camel".
Also, someone who could afford a charcoal drawing wouldnt be wearing 17 year old clothes.

He's NOT Billy. Billy was killed by Garrett that night.
