  • The images of war in Ukraine dominate our news feeds: bombed-out buildings, desperate forces, and the relentless rumble of artillery. But a different kind of battle is brewing behind the scenes, one fought not with bullets and bombs, but with technological innovation.
    While the world watches the conflict unfold on the ground, Russia has unveiled a trio of advanced weapons systems: the Sarmat ICBM, the Avangard hypersonic glide vehicle, and the Peresvet laser system. These technological marvels could potentially reshape the landscape of modern warfare, with implications that extend far beyond the battlefields of Ukraine.
    Let's explore what these systems can do and how they might impact the ongoing conflict!

      @superchargerone Месяц назад +12

      no. That will be a waste of icbm because the payload size is small hence the amount of conventional explosives that can be delivered will be low. But more important reason why icbm will not be used to deliver conventional explosives is because both sides can detect icbm launch. They will not wait for the bomb to hit and explode to decide if the launched icbm had nuclear or conventional explosives. As such, once icbm launch detected, the other side has to assume that it carried nuclear and so will also launch their nuclear icbms for a MAD outcome.

    • @BlackPill-pu4vi
      @BlackPill-pu4vi Месяц назад

      If Putin openly announces a special missile operation, with a few converted to carrying conventional explosives, then he will avoid the taboo of launching nukes. The whole point of such a SMO is to verify the targeting and delivery systems of Sarmat. And to demonstrate the political will to do so. That, right there, will be a major deterrent against Washington.

    Sometimes it's hard to defend what's right
    Sometimes we're forced to rise up and fight.
    Sometimes we survive, while others must die
    Sometimes never knowing the reason why.
    The rush of combat is a natural buzz
    Caused by fear, leaving nothing as it was.
    Hunting one another like wild game
    Without a shortage of those to blame.
    Sometimes victory comes too slow or quick
    Sometimes the cost on both sides is sick.
    Sometimes God is asked to intervene
    To help stop the savage from being so mean.
    War is a hell we visit before death
    Fueled by the whisper of the devil's breath.
    There must be a reason man destroys man
    But why it is so, I can't understand.
    By Tom Zart!
