How Much Firepower Does Russia Have Left After Two Years of War?

  • It has been two years since the war in Ukraine began. What started with a big Russian push has settled into a bloody slog in eastern Ukraine. Places like Donbas, once known for their rich farmland, are now riddled with craters and bombed-out buildings.
Before the war, Russia's military seemed unstoppable. They had all these weapons left over from the Soviet days, plus a bunch of modern stuff too. Everyone thought they would secure a swift victory. But the war has shown a different story. Ukrainian forces, fueled by Western support, have defied expectations with fierce resistance.
Russia is facing mounting casualties and logistical problems. Western sanctions are also starting to bite, crippling the Russian economy. The outcome of the war remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: Ukraine's resistance has been far more effective than anyone expected.
Now, as the war enters its third year, a big question hangs in the air: how much firepower does Russia truly have left?
Let's dive into this and see what the war did to Russia's fighting power.

They are probably low, but there are plenty of stories covering how they have finally got their wartime industry moving along with 24/7 shifts. It exposed their weak military, their weak training and NATO got to see how they fight and what NATO weapons were successful and which were not. All without loosing anyone.
The number of Russian troop killed and wounded has forever impacted them. They having a shrinking population and it just took a huge hit. They also lost a crazy amount of military hardware, which will take a long time, if ever to replace.

@@rembrandrembrandRemember the economic power of Russia is not even as big as just one of the larger European countries. The economies of the UK, France, Germany, Italy are each bigger than Russia. Europe and US can fund Ukraine with much problem. Russia cannot borrow money, it can't sell its oil above the market cap to the few countries that will buy it. All the main gas pipelines are useless as only one EU country is buying the gas in any volume. Interbational gas and oil price has got much lower so Europe is not bothered by that and inflation is almost back to pre war levels.

Or the Russian data about the efficiency of their weapons and soldiers. Yeah, so efficient that despite withholding US aid for six months, the Russians were only able to capture a small vilage of 1600 people for the price of 50 000 of their own soldiers. Russia lost 26 ships to a country without a navy. The only thing the Russian army is good at is winning with overwhelming numbers using outdated methods and tactics. Right now, in this one war against one poor failed state that Ukraine was and is, Russia has lost more soldiers in a little over 2 years, whereas the USA has lost on all fronts of World War II during 4 years. All data is manipulated to support a narrative. First, this war was prepared by NATO since 2011. The Donbass war started at 2014, with a Nato trained Ukrainian army. At the beggining of Hostilities the Ukrainian army was Nato second most powerful army surpassing Turkey with a lot more soldiers than Russia. Also, its needed to debunk the lie of the failed assault on Kiev. Russia retired forces after the cease fire settlement of Istambul that ukrained agreed, but betrayed the contracted terms. Russia has the biggest economical growth (FMI data) ahead of all western countries. Russia has surpassed all western military production, and have at this momment a best trained and equiped army, than at the beggining of the conflict. Ukraine has about 600.000 KIA, and a million casualties and was for all effects defeated, continuing his efforts only on western money and equipment, and, has depopulated is military age, productive male population, not beeing able to conduct rotation of forces nor a third mobilization, also because of desertion. Even about equipment losses, Russia has produced more aircraft this year, than all the losses is had. ... time to stop convince people that NATO wasn't defeated. Politicaly they just want ukrainians to fight till the last ukrainian until american elections in November
