    Synopsis:
    If electricians are putting in the power, where do THEY get the power to charge tools, light their workspace, or heat the jobsite? While Jefferson Electric actually achieves most of these ends through batteries and forethought, there are times when electricity is needed on-site. In this video Joel will show how to get temporary power during new construction and who is responsible for its installation, upkeep, & cost.

    In my neck of the woods the inspectors want the 2x4s to be in the direction of line tension. IOW, the bottom end pointing toward the street feed. They also want them secured more than half way up the mast. Suggestion: if the top of the 2x4s were secured with a piece of threaded rod through elongated holes you could lay the whole assembly flat for storage and fold out the legs when in use. Cut the 2x4s the same length as the bottom of the mast and that will give you a 4-5 foot base in front of the mast / pole.

    So you used a larger circuit as the main circuit breaker for the panel by plugging the hot wires into it instead of the panel?

    Can you connect a solar array to a temporary power pole breaker cabinet?
    Would love to see a video on code requirements for a solar array.

    What fee are you talking about? Who and why are you charging them and then reclaiming. Great video I like the content

      They are charging them a ‘rental fee’ so they can take it and use it again for the next customer. Easy money😉

    Do you know of a video dealing with a power pedestal for a food truck installation, NEC rules regulations anything you can think of to help.

    In that panel the Nuetral and the ground are bonded together ?

    • @davidmarquardt9034
      @davidmarquardt9034 Год назад +2

      Yes, because it is the first means of disconnection. That's why sub panels are not bonded, as they are fed by the main panel. Also if you have a outdoor Main disconnect installed your original inside panel is now considered in effect a "sub panel" by code, as it is no longer the first means of disconnection. The green bonding screw will be removed and the neutrals and grounds are separated and put on different terminal bars. Now the bonding screw will be installed in the outdoor disconnect, as it is now the new first point of disconnection.

    Why not just use a gas generator? That’s what my neighbors doing.

      Noise and it's expensive to run. Construction is noisy, but even worse with a generator running all day.

      True. But how much does it cost the electric pole way? @@jdaz5462
