I lost my dad 5-4-23 an this was the last song we played while they shut the casket. 1 memory i have is 16yrs ago i moved to Michigan from NY an i called him like 6mnth later an he was right out that door to come move me right back. I will always think of him coming to rescuing me an saying im your dad, thats my job when it doesnt work out. I had the honor to be his caretaker an even though i lost my mama 8mnth before him, i went from being her caretaker right into being hism. I love you an miss you so much daddy. I will always be your lil girl. Rih Edward Cleavland Sr
I lost my Daddy in 2013 to brain and lung cancer i am a Daddy's girl. He taught me lots of things but he never taught me how to live without him. Not a day goes by that i don't miss and love my Daddy. Awesome reaction. love to you both from the one and only Memphis Tn.
CanNOT make it through this one without crying!! OMG!! Such a tender song and with Conway Twitty's vocals and story-telling abilities: AWESOME! I like that the last verse is his payback to HIS Dad...Miss my Daddy, every day, and he's been gone 15 years, now. The hole never fills.... GREAT REACTION, YOU-GUYS!!! :) ❤❤❤❤❤
I always liked this song, but it really hit me hard after my boys were born. The songs "Little Folks" by The Charlie Daniels Band and "Daddy's Little Man" by Shenandoah are also like this and are tear jerkers. I just discovered your channel today and I love your reactions. New sub !
I was daddy's little girl and the youngest of 6 kids, PLUS the only girl. My dad taught me everything I knew...except how to live without him. His death tore me apart. I didn't think I could, or wanted to live without him. I was devastated for soo long. This song reminded me of him and I knew my dad DID HIS JOB!
Dads tend to struggle alone at times because we have to be strong for our families. If we seem like we need alone time it's because we need to regroup a little. We will make it out the other side and be ok though.
Growing up I was raised by my grandparents. My grandpa was an alcoholic but he was a good man and a hardworker. But he loved Conway Twitty. He would swing the door open and start singing Hello Darlin and every year on my gmaw birthday he would sing happy birtbday darlin to her. So conway is precious to me. You need to listen to conway twitty tight fittin jeans and the rose
That’s what DADDY’S do!!! My step-daddy chose to be my daddy at 7-1/2 years old. I was blessed to be his caregiver during his last days on this earth. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
You have to listen to Conway Twitty & Sam Moore ( of Sam & Dave) sing a live studio version of A Rainy Night In Georgia , it will give you goosebumps. This was the last Conway recording, he passed away shortly after 😢. I always have loved Brooke Benton singing this song, but now I have another special recording to love 💗 RIP Conway, RIP Brooke you gave the world so much, my heart is full 💜🇨🇦
My hubby loves Conway Twitty!! He remembers even when he was little sitting in the backseat of his grandma car listening to his songs & that was 50 years ago 😊 & yes this one will make you tear up. 😢still listens to him to this day. Thank you for sharing...much ❤❤ to you both ✌️
Shawn and Mel, first time I've seen your videos. Great job. This song reminds us that we need to take the time to give our children a hug. Tell them they mean a lot to us. And that above all we love them. Things like this will stick with them into adulthood. Love your shoutout to Dads. We need that little encouragement every now and then. Thank you!
My father left before I was born mother died on my 7th birthday by a 10:52 drunk driver by the driveway. As a child these songs helped fill in the gaps. Strangley. 10:5210:52
Such an amazing song. His version of The Rose is just as good! If you get on a fathers kick, here’s my favs, and would love to see your reaction: Seein’ My Father In Me - Paul Overstreet Love Without End, Amen - George Strait My Fathers Hands - Holly Dunn Keep It Between the Lines - Ricky Van Shelton Have a great day!! ❤
I never had a dad, only monsters, nor been one, but I get it. Family is the backbone of liberty and civilization. That is why I fight. Although I don't participate, I stand on the sidelines and defend. That's MY job. God Bless You. Peace.
I am going to watch in second thanks for playing this .Miss the old man .The only thing we did together was go races midgets sprint cars Indy cars stock cars .
Shout out to all the wonderful dads out there. I lost mine July 5th, 2020 after a 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer. We got married the day before he passed so he could be there. Miss you dad.
Bed of Roses by the Statler Brothers and Reuben James by Kenny Rogers are great country songs I don't know if you guys have heard them yet but I think you guys will really like them.

Conway poured his heart into every word, but some of these video montages are a bit cheesy, IMO. Would love to see y’all react to live performance, much more impactful.
Anyone with a good dad or father figure feels this song to the core
Singer Ronnie McDowell once said " Conway Twitty was the best friend a song ever had"...he could make any song he recorded a hit.
Badass song... always will be.

One of my all time favorite Conway Twitty songs. Story telling at its best with no auto tune and straight from the heart.

My first concert was seeing Conway Twitty in 1978.
I love to hear him sing Don’t Cry Joni.’ A song he sang with his daughter Joni.

Conway recorded a song written by the BeeGees. Rest Your Love On Me Awhile.
Please react to Michael Jackson and Barry Gibb
All In Your Name.
As parents, we protect them from it, until we have prepared them for it.
