Definitely! I was once a ten year old with a double bed and beautifully decorated big bedroom, and my unexpected baby sister had the upstairs toilet knocked out and a custom-built shelf-bed put in 😂
For the low-priced bedroom, you should have used a baby basinet and put only half of the wall paper up and put boxes and paint cans everywhere. Nursery under construction!
Hello Kayla! I have a suggestion: the sims 4 but every item is sized one time up. The walls are tall, and the windows too. Don't size up the windows and mirrors lol
How about, once you get early access to the new pack, every room is a different occult/lifestate? A house with all the rooms themed after different kinds of Sims, like a vampire kids room, a mermaid living room, a plantsim bathroom, a servo garden, and an alien kitchen. Heck, you could even include Skeletons, Zombies, and Fairies, since while they don't exist in game (or in Skeletons' cases, as playable Sims), you could probably still make rooms themed after them. If anything it'd probably make a really... interesting house
It would be interesting to do a build where you spin first for the overall budget, then each room you spin to see how much of that budget you use and subtract that from the overall until your final room you have just whatever is left. So like, you spin and get 85600 for the overall budget. So you can have the minimum set to whatever but your new upper limit is that one, and say you spin 4580 for the first room, which then leaves you to spin for minimum up to 81020 for the second room, etc etc.
I would love to see you struggling to buy objects that use up the entirety of the budget with these challenges, so you’re not allowed any money left over and you HAVE to buy random crap just to use up the money lol.
Recommendation: Try randomizing a number and whatever you get is the money you have for each room. Examply, if you randomize 3821 simoleons every room has to use that same amount. Itd show how far the money can go in different rooms in comparisons.
I've done this, with 1000 for each room, but for furniture and lighting (I excluded walls, doors, windows, flooring. It was fun, but the kitchen was... limited (I didn't have City Living at the time either). I also required myself to use every last bit of money.
Ah yes, every build challenge, where she uses the same furniture, makes the same mediocre house, and still loses her mind. She should really go into acting.
The real challenge with these is actually using up every single Simoleon exactly, nothing leftover. Of course, the last time I did this I didn't have the sense to do a floorplan first, so I was making rooms willy-nilly and using up part of my budget on the size of the room itself. XD
Start the challenge with the full 20k in the random # generator, then subtract once you finish a room. So 0-20k, then 0-17k, etc. If one room uses the whole budget then you're done!
Challenge idea! Every room is a different budget BUT the excess funds roll over (like in home renovation shows---less spending in one area can mean more in another). The kicker is that you have to randomize the ORDER you decorate the rooms and the funds added to the overall budget per room. So the first room you get has the lowest, flattest budget, but if you're smart, the last room can have a lot of leftover funds from previous rooms!
That could be really fun! Would it be like, a predetermined spin budget and it’s just once for each room, or like… decide your own budget by furnishing the first room?
I'm just one out of 1,5 millions bit I still wanted to give my feedback that I just love when you do these crazy build challenges. My other fav videos is when you build or renovate something on camera, and also the 10 minute rush challenges. And of course, Stanley videos. They always make me feel cozy, some lightweight entertainment after a hard day. Thank you for making videos!
I feel like it should be a rule in these kind of budget videos to use up the money fof every room as much as possible. What's the point of getting a high number if you just leave 1000 simoleons in the end? :(
I want the max amount to be bigger (10-15k) and you _have_ to use all of the money. Like you aren't allowed to have over 100 simoleons left for any room. Get 15000, use the expensive get famous furniture. Doing it that way makes it way more chaotic because the rooms are so different and don't match.
In the living room, when looking for a big painting, I think you missed seeing the 5 panel painting set, which has some nice orange-hued images (as well as blues, greens, etc). It's remarkably cheap for such a large piece of art and has some nice variations, seasonal themes, mountains & forests, desert mesas, and old barns. They're called the "Panels of Perfection" (200 simoleons). I'll admit it's one of my favorites, so maybe I'm biased (lol, of course I am), but consider taking a peek at it next time?
I missed these challenges so much! Honestly I’d watch 10-in-a-row! I’d be so up for you making these kinda videos regularly for as long as they’re still fun for you 😊
as someone who grew up moving around and had our family computer at the end of a hallway in one apartment, and at the top of our stairs landing in another house, there's no mockery from me about where you put your desks!!
Each room a different budget, but the max price higher, way higher. And you would actually need to use it all (as far as possible). Would be so versatile with pricy, stuffed rooms and half empty, cheap rooms.

ok 2 challenge ideas 1: same exact thing but you HAVE TO spend EVERY SIMOLEON. only 1 simoleon left? find a 1 simoleon item. 2: pack challenge but for cas. each outfit and or item of clothing is from a different pack. if this somehow catches your notice lilsimsie, and you try this, have fun ;)
Kayla so frequently posts videos of start home builds. This generator was fun bc it had her using higher numbers for each room! I really like the way this house turned out. 10/10 blue suburban!
I'd love to see you tackle this again but on hard mode! Windows stairs and doors all need to be included in the budget that way you have to decide what you want to include and what you want to risk leaving to the next room etc and you have to use the full budget (or as close to as you can). Let the hilarity ensue with mismatched doors, ladders and awkward hallways ❤️
Next build like this -- you should get to pick the room off of the budget. That way you are giving yourself a chance of a higher budget for rooms you pick as priority! But once furnished you have move on so you can have potential to really second guess your decision making & if you chance waiting for a larger budget!
I love this house so much!! Despite the fact it is a challenge, I think it’s one of the prettiest houses simsie has made! I love the kitchen and bathrooms, using a lot of parenthood
Randomised house build idea!! - house is a random budget and then each room has a random budget that is detracted from the total eg - randomised 40,000 total budget - kitchen budget randomised is 15,000 leaving 25,000, bathroom budget is 1,000 leaving 24,000 etc etc?? sorry if this has already been done I don’t think I’ve seen it before
i actually really like that it was favorable for kayla the whole video (excluding the end LMAO) it limited how much she could spend but i personally really liked the end result of the house, even with the toddler room!!!
I love that "cheapest base game couch", mostly because I have had couches irl that looked just like that and were super comfortable lol. Sometimes I try to build houses that look as close to the real life homes I've lived in, so I use that couch all the time.
Another cool home renovation game is called "Tools Up"; I think it would make a nice challenge to take some of their floorplans and see what could be done there, the first few levels start out fairly normal and then it just goes totally haywire, but might be a fun build project. Keep up the great work!
10/10 vid like always. **I have an idea for a vid**: building a venue with the MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS and try to make it look good! For example if you build a bar you only get to use one toilet, one sink, one bar, one table and 4 chairs (I don’t know if those are actually the minimum requirements lol but you get the idea)
You should mix all the “every room is a different ____” challenges. So have many different wheels and end up with like “4x4 blue room for 4,000 simoleons” or “7x7 red room for 100 simoleons” etc
If you like this challenge a lot then try painting a painting and using that painting to design one room and keep doing that over and over again so you have a full house. Hopefully that made sense
Next time you should try doing one where each item has a random budget (bathtub/shower, toilet, bathroom decor, and sink all have their own budgets and you have to get as close as possible for example)
Starter impossible ( BUILD MUST BE A STARTER HOME) : 1. you have to have 2 pet rooms 2. you have to have a young adult room a toddler room and a nursery 3. each bed room has to be one of 4 colors, Blue, sage green, yellow, and black 4. you have to have a fancy but small kitchen 5. you have to have 2 bathrooms Lastly the exterior have to be all purple and you have to have a pool.

You should do a completely random house, random budget per room, random room size, random colour scheme (overall instead of individual rooms to keep it possible)
This house came out so great! Although I think you could have turned the toddler room into like an unfinished nursery, sort of in a Agnes Crumplebottom style. That could have worked with the money and given the house an interesting story aspect.
hi Kayla! I have a suggestion that I have suggested before but here we go, the sims 4 but every room is a shape. such as maybe the actual house is a triangle but the rooms are hexagons or something... but the trick is you cant use regular shaped houses/ rooms such as square rectangle or whatever shape house normally are bc they aren't always perfect rectangles or something. this could turn into a series.
Good video! ❤️ Otherwise, in Sims, you can make pocket thefts if the sim has a high level of vandalism. You can earn money with that. New rags to riches maybe? ✨
I had an idea to give this challenge a little bit of a twist, what if the min was set to 0 however you could use leftover budget?? idk keep doing you and making amazing content for all of us :)
For a challenge like this, I think that 'necessities' shouldn't be counted in the budget, at least not in the same way. I.E: You can -always- place the cheapest priced item in each rooms to make it functional. And then you can replace it if you want to upgrade it. this could probably include windows, wallpaper, stairs, doors, and general landscaping. Even if it's not pretty, it's functional. And then the budget is used to upgrade/decorate? idk could be a decent alternative.
Do this challenge but each room is a different dlc pack. So a bedroom might be items from seasons and the bathroom might be from vampires. (If no item exists then use base game only for that item, or sorry sim no toilet in this room for you)
i know this is 2 weeks later but you should do 1. every room is a different height? (like with platforms or something) idk might be interesting trying to make it look normal 2. every room is a different sitcom decade (so like furnish the way a 50's, 60's etc sitcom would - like 50's could be black and white since tv wasnt in colour etc)
maybe there should be a variation on this challenge. Every room is a different budget, but the remaining budgets are carried over to the next room. EDIT: _Orrrr..._ we could add up the remaining budgets of each room and give it to a sim to survive on while they live in the house! lol
Hnnngh, so lucky with those numbers on early rooms. I tried something like this ages ago. I only just got back into sims4 mood and I'm suffering because I only have an 80% size keyboard and I can't size-up/down items because of... things. idk I just can't find a way for it, everything else works from the moveobjects x)
I HAVE AN IDEA What about such challenge: You start with a very little amount of money and everytime you finish a room, you get random cash, so you can use it in another. If you wont spend everything, you keep it, its your budget. And you earn ranom money for every room you finish. You cant go back to decorating previous room though - when its finished, its finished. What do you guys think?
I have a suggestion to have a fun build and not too stressful (hopefully), list ur rooms off first, so let’s say u have 7 rooms (3 beds, 2 bath, kitchen, living room) you would do the randomized budget google thing 7 times, get ur 7 budgets and assign the specific budget to each room, and then build with that.
The kids rooms are giving me "first one was planned, but the second one was an accident" vibes

I love the every toom is a different whatever! It's inspired me to do it myself!
14:42 I feel you on that. I was trying to build a pink mansion and I wanted to use a lot of pink rugs but barely any of them looked good.
I love these kinds of videos thank u kayla
Artwork from the gallery can be really cheap, like 10 simoleons and not CC, so excellent solution for low-budget rooms/houses needing wall art.
These challenges are really fun to watch
Whenever I watch one of your videos I always wanna play the sims right after! 😂
next time you should have a higher maximum!! i feel like getting 20,000 simoleons on a bathroom would be a fun challenge lol
What about every room is a random object? That would be a cool challenge and you could force yourself to use items you never use!
Do this challenge but each room is a different dlc pack. So a bedroom might be items from seasons and the bathroom might be from vampires. (If no item exists then use base game only for that item, or sorry sim no toilet in this room for you)
Next time you should set the generator higher for the exterior (like 20k max) and include walls too, that could be interesting :D
You should do random color because its pride month
i know this is 2 weeks later but you should do
1. every room is a different height? (like with platforms or something) idk might be interesting trying to make it look normal
2. every room is a different sitcom decade (so like furnish the way a 50's, 60's etc sitcom would - like 50's could be black and white since tv wasnt in colour etc)
You should do the each room is a different budget AND size challenge. That’s hard!
New challenge idea everyone room but it’s a different time limit
Nothing beats my college tireness like watching lilsimsie build
Thanks!
These always start off good and then I get so frustrated 😅 Definitely should have upped the max budget for the parents bedroom
You really should do a mash-up style challenge, like every room is a different budget + no mistakes, or something like that
maybe there should be a variation on this challenge.
Every room is a different budget, but the remaining budgets are carried over to the next room.
EDIT: _Orrrr..._ we could add up the remaining budgets of each room and give it to a sim to survive on while they live in the house! lol
the pink kids room gives me 2000s/early 2010s (european??) teen vibe!! rush of nostalgia lol:)
Okay so can we take a second to admire that cute first bathroom! I love it!
Also that toddler room look like an insane asylum room 😂
I was thinking that! Like some kind of hospital...
I HAVE AN IDEA
What about such challenge:
You start with a very little amount of money and everytime you finish a room, you get random cash, so you can use it in another. If you wont spend everything, you keep it, its your budget. And you earn ranom money for every room you finish. You cant go back to decorating previous room though - when its finished, its finished.
What do you guys think?
You should do one where you "save" any extra money and decorate one room with the left over budget
Suggestion! Every room is a different number of tiles (generated)
