After my first visit I bought a hat with a net that can come down. It snaps up inside so you can put the net away when you do not need it. iI is sure nice to have when needed.

That’s a great choice, we discussed off camera how annoying in would be to take a net on and off. We will definitely have the hat with a net that comes out of it next time!

We know we missed a lot on the Great Ocean Road and we have some (ok) excuses. Have you spent any time down under? If so, what did we miss that would make us have to go back?

The Great Ocean Road was built by returned servicemen from WW1. It was built as a Memorial to the servicemen who died. It is the biggest War Memorial in the World. Interesting fact, Australian and American servicemen fought beside each other for the first time on 4th July 1918 in France at the Battle of Hamel. It was the first battle that combined tanks, infantrymen and air support and was considered a turning point of WW1.
That squeaking would have driven my husband crazy.
If you had come out our way to the Yarra Valley and driven the Melba Highway you could have gone hot air ballooning.
You can buy repellent for insects like mosquitoes but I am not sure about the flies as we have a gizmo that we plug in and it gives off a blue light that they fly into and get zapped. I actually bought a fly killer in the UK that looks like a tennis racquet but the strings are wires and the batteries in the handle when activated whilst swinging it around kill any fly, moth, whatever, that fly into the wires.
Historically way back before my day people used to attach cork on strings to the brim of their hats and the constant movement of the corks would stop the flies from landing on your face. Nowadays there are nets that you put over your head that keep the flies off.
I think you are doing really well driving on the opposite side of the road. We did the Great Ocean Road drive but went back home inland which really cut the time of the return trip down.

Wow, hot air ballooning is one of our new favorite things so that would have been awesome. Thanks for the love ❤️

@@BradandNicoleBean you don’t have to venture out to where I live (wineries area), there are dawn flights over Melbourne where you fly over the city skyline as the sun comes up and it’s breathtaking.
