Cool design!
Oak is the most beautiful wood. It's natural color and grain is so pretty. Unfortunately it got a bad reputation because so many industrial furniture companies routinely stain and darken it to make it look 'rustic' or 'vintage'. Which gives oak the reputation of being 'old fashioned' and ugly.
Love the craftmanship in your work. Great design. Just one thing.... :)

Another nice piece bro. I especially like how you you gouged the the uniformed flutes into the base. One of the best thing about oak is it takes stain well and doesn't diminish the look of the grain. Дякую за вiдео ! Рекомендую шматочок воску тримати пiд рукою щоб змащювати пiдошву рубанку, значно краще "пливе човник".
Та вам дякую!:) Та там же в мене шматок парафіну, мастив їм!))) Но впредь хочу как у японцев сделать свёрток такой как толстенный карандаш пропитанный маслом камелии. А ещё чаще всего я пользуюсь уайт спиритом с каплей масла моторного в бутылочку спрей, у меня на верстаке постоянно стоит но не показываю, потому что начнут критиковать))) А как масло камелии куплю то точно буду показывать!) 🇺🇦🤗

@@gr_woodworking Відомий на заході Пол Селлерс рекомендує для таких цілей тканину, скручену у рулон і набиту в косервну банку, після чого просочену машинною олією. Робочий варіант, але не дуже естетичний. Мені особисто зручніше використовувати тампон, такий як для нанесення шеллаку, але трішки більший, і при цьому використовую мінеральну олію. При такому способі на інструменті залишається дуже тонкий шар олії. Зручно як для змащування пил і рубанків при роботі, так і для змащування інструменту, щоб не ржавів. Також чув про олію камелії і її широке використання в цій сфері, але, наскільки я зрозумів, це просто традиційне рішення в Японії, і як таких переваг не має. Оскільки мінеральна олія відчутно дешевша і її набагато легше дістати, використовую її і не знаю проблем)
Дякую вам!:) Так! Та масло камелии просто, чтоб кашерно было, ведь 100г пропитанные в такой карандаш хватит на годы работы думаю, главное чтоб крышкой закрывать такой свёрток, чтоб не запылился. Так же думаю подойдёт и оливковое масло, так как не высыхает вообще, почти как минеральное масло. А вообще, кому как нравится и что под рукой)) вот как я моторным с уайтспиритом))
Про заточку обязательно сделаю, на другой канал, если знаете мой тот, старый) вот прийдёт рубанок новый скоро, потом после НГ заказать камни хочу и можно снять про заточку) а ещё хочу снять ролик про "хорошие" восковские рубанки) а то как-то устал слушать про совковое "качество"))))) хоть и сам таким пользуюсь, но это ведь из-за нужды просто, из-за того, что было что было, а сравнить не с чем было) это так, отвлеченно уже, но тема для меня животрепещущая:)

It does look great, but you are like me. When I discover something new I tend to overuse it. Imo it would be nicer with no hand carved stand and front panel. It would still give this handmade feel with those joints.Aslo might want to leave those candles for times when she is in the mood 😆 for woodworking you need strong direct light otherwise you are ruining you eye sight intentionally for no reason really.

Hmmm, not to my taste - loved the bed but there's way too much going on in this piece and worse, it looks almost exactly like a piece of 60-'s G-Plan furntiture..
I also don't really like this type of furniture, but if you evaluate not the design, but the quality of execution, then everything here is at a high level, it seems to me that he knows what he is doing, and the appearance is subjective😉
