    Awesome lessons man! Thank you so much! For a number of reasons, I think your lessons are the best:
    • Calm voice
    • Clear explanation
    • Nice view of both hands with no separate/blurred/dark screens
    • Both paces are explained. Advanced and a very user-friendly beginner-turtle-like ninja pace
    • Easy to watch and easy to follow
    • No pathos or arrogance - very friendly and straight to the point
    • Extended lessons - I always get more than I came for
    • Nice tunes
    Just keep it up and stay awesome!

    Lee, this is the first time I finally began to understand the structure of the notes, chords and string and fret progression. I am 74 and started Learning guitar after wanting to learn when I was young. I was so busy keeping food on the table I didn’t allow the time for this. I have had a guitar for 2 weeks. My wife of 54 years is dying and she wants to see me do this. So, I have seriously watched and enjoyed other you tube channels and learned and enjoyed. However, the programs and instruction you provide have helped me to go beyond just learning the chords. Thanks. I will continue to watch your videos. Thanks..... also..... Lee W.

    Thank you very much sir for your lesson on learning to solo in combination with open chords. This is a nice lesson where you show string by string the notes to be soloed with. Also, it is helpful when you show the strings to be soloed with one finger so that your students can clearly see which strings and notes you are using. Many guitar teachers don't use one finger like that, and then it is not clear which notes they are using and fretting. This is a great lesson for beginners.

    • @leejohnblackmoremusic
      @leejohnblackmoremusic  3 года назад +12

      It's actually a very simple concept but.. You'll need to start from the beginning. Write down and learn the notes in the Major scale (and play them) learn the Major triads, learn what the pentatonic is and how it relates to the Major scale and all will become crystal clear 😁 It really isn't as complex as you think. Now go study 🎸🎸🎸

      Those 4 notes are part of the pentatonic scale... You'll just be playing a piece of the scale... that's the beauty of it, easy to remember and improvise over any chord...You can actually extend that box to the G string ( 6 notes ) and that will give you even more options of soloing, those 2 extra notes will make a difference...You just need to memorize the root notes on the 6th string and you won't have to think about it twice!...When you hear the chords or the whole progression you can stay in the box of the root note of the dominant chord in the progression and it will sound right! 👍👍 Have Fun with it!
