That video is definitely in my top 5, probably top 3, woodswalker 1965 videos I’ve watched so far. Camp cooking is something near and dear to my heart and you do it extremely well. This was special
It just doesnt get any better that. What a beautiful place, cooking, everything. It was nice seeing the wife. I bet she never complains about your cooking!
Wow. I don't think you could have asked for a better loaf of bread. And I'm shaking my head at the simple genius of bending a green stick in half for tongs. Subscribed.
Good morning Wade..... excellent video brother :) Enjoyed it from start to finish. Stunning scenery, great meal and what a cute dog. Love her little waistcoat. They like to do a lot of cooking with Guinness over in Ireland. I enjoy the Guinness soda bread that they serve at breakfast :) I haven't been for a couple of years, but a lovely country. It was nice to see Mrs woodswalker. It looks like you had a great trip mate. Speak soon, all the best, Mark :)
Good morning buddy! Thanks for stopping by. Yes she looks cute but shes got a bit of the devil in her let me tell you haha! My brother and wife just returned from Ireland and they loved it. Take care mate see you on your next one👊😎
Awesome! Nice technique mixing & kneading that bread at camp. I retrained in culinary/baking after firefighting and I'll never forget the culinary Chef making us bread after our baking semester. He proudly proclaimed that we could forget all that precise science that they had scared us with in the baking kitchen. He grabbed some flour, some water, some yeast, eyeballing them all. oiled up a bowl, let it rest & rise, baked it, and it was as good as any of the bread we'd made in the baking labs. Baking became my favorite thing to do when I cooked at restaurants. Your bread skill reminded me of those days. Good memories, thanks!
Thanks so much for that story, very cool! With some experience you can eyeball most cooking, somehow it all works out in the end. Thanks for watching!👍🌲
New name... Chef Woodswalker1965. Looks so damn good Wade. Your not only a bushcraft channel but also cooking. Very nice. I bet Mrs Woodswalker1965 was very happy.
Just getting caught up with my subscriptions... Man that looks good! If I ever make it back to Canada I'm coming over for some stew! Keep up the good work pal, love your videos!
These thumbnails alone made my mouth water so I beef stew was on my menu for lunch yesterday. I don't think mine was nearly as good as yours but it sure hit the spot. THANK YOU!!!!
Bloody good job, here in Wales we are famous for our "Cawl" / Stew. That was a good one, nice bread too. I use that size zebra for mine but I use it laying down with a bread tin. So nice to see different ideas. Great video dude.
Thanks for taking us along Wade. Doing the movie "Woodswalker - First beef ;-)" and than splitting it in two shorter parts to give your viewers the choice must be an immense effort. Zoe is a really nice dog. And of course she likes whool too :-)...and beef lol.
Man great location, great food, great beer! Your garlic dicing game is thick and that loaf of bread... C’est Si Bon my friend... C’est Si Bon!!! You know I had to pick the extended version!!!👍🏾💯👍🏾💯👍🏾💯
🙏 Master chef in action ! And my god, the bread , what a nice piece, bravo ! Je suis jaloux de ton talent , j'espère que le plat était à la hauteur de tes attentes , Cheers 🍺
Nice vid. 👍 Wee tip for the Guinness cans; it you lightly tap your fingers like 'pitter patter' style on the bottom and sides of the can before opening it stops it frothing out. 🍀🇮🇪🍻👍
@@Woodswalker1965 no worries man 🙂👍 I'm a stout man myself and I drink Guinness Original, which doesn't have a widget and I like the taste more. Do they sell that in your neck of the woods? (I'm Scottish so we get all manner of Guinness like Milk Stout and such.)
@@HoundsofHowgate I believe so, is it in a bottle? I've heard the bottle is better. Although I'm sure a properly poured pint in a pub would be the best of all!
@@Woodswalker1965 aye, here they sell the original in bottles and cans.👍 Now you mention it I can't remember ever having seen the original stuff being sold on tap in the pubs. It's usually just the normal stuff or the 'extra cold' on tap. Not that I'm in pubs much right enough! 🍻
Inverted horse hoof fungus shelves on tree, great idea that wade. A beautiful camp. So wanted to be there with you bro. Thanks for another great vid wade
Awesome video Wade, the food looked amazing, love how you baked your bread, thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful week, take care and God bless you and your Family always. 🇺🇸🇨🇦🔥☕️🇺🇸🇨🇦👼🏻👼🏻
“Show off”!!! Nice one Wade. I’m truly envious of your Garlic chopping skills if I tried that I’d have to call it “Beef and Finger Tips Stew”👍🔥🍺 Oh yeah is that the can of beer with the “widget” in it?
Love the video! Such a great campfire cook. Made me feel like I could actually do the bread. Not burned at all just perfect. Was that the 14 cm Zebra pot?
Sure did, salt pepper rosemary, garlic. Some of the ingredients are flavourful on their own like bacon and Guiness, stock is full of flavor as well. I generally don't post detailed recipes but am just showing the whole experience. Thanks for watching, try it and make it the way you like it! 🥘👍😀
I would look on Etsy, you might find something suitable. I was hoping to have some available here by now but it hasn't happened yet lol. Hope that helps!
the video was nice but adding some little popup info boxes or listing the ingrediants for the food would have been better. I mean you slowly trickled something from the plastic bag into the flour but I couldn't tell what it was.
Thanks for the input but I really didnt want pop ups in this video. The ingredients are really simple and you can adjust the amounts. I just "eyeball " the amounts. Whole wheat flour Salt Yeast Red River Cereal or any whole grain Guiness or any beer you like. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.👍
I've been sharpening a lot of knives during the isolation my own and some friends knives.First thing i'll do wade is go to the shooting estate,i have to see woods and green fields. My son sent me the Bark River Gunny from Kentucky, the knife all others will be judged by,i bought myself the Lion Steel M5 Santos lovely knife Wade but i could not take to it,handle very slippery rounded off spine on the knife not nice, will get full refund.Still studing your vids my friend.Stay safe.

Another awesome dish Wade 😋👌 just a quick question, was that vegetable stock from the carton? Thanks mate 👍🙂
Hey Mike, it was beef stock but veg stock would work equally well. I dont reccomend this for Meatless Monday lol😀
Wade, excellent video, very impressed. Are or were you a chief, never saw a novice chop garlic like that.
I'm a novice cook but a professional eater haha. Thanks very much but I'm just a home/camp cook. Cheers🍻

Haha ya a finger in the stew would spoil it! Yes Guiness has that little ball in it that adds gas. Usually they dont overflow like that oops!🍻
Love the video! Such a great campfire cook. Made me feel like I could actually do the bread. Not burned at all just perfect. Was that the 14 cm Zebra pot?
Aw you could do it, perfectly golden brown. That's actually the 16cm pot. The 14 would be great too though! Thanks for watching bud!
Seeing that Guinness going to waste caused actual physical pain, other than that an outstanding video, thank you.
Haha well it hurt me more than you my friend😀🍻
That's looked amazing Wade, that was some fancy knife work slicing the garlic. Are you a chef by trade? Thanks for sharing, take care 👍
Hey buddy, thanks for watching. Not a chef, just a hack lol!👍🍻
