Sounds great. I liked your video months ago. As I consider a midpipe option, I can't help but give this video credit and consider doing what you did. I have one concern when removing secondary cats; it seems many who went with an aftermarket non resonated/non catted Midpipe complain of an obnoxious few seconds at startup where car sounds awful with loud metallic banging. I really want to avoid that if possible. Did you experience anything like that with this setup? Thanks.
@@jigglefootracing3398 Thanks for responding. I like the way yours sounds. Seems removal of secondaries is a must to get that sound. Not worried about loudness as my previous F80 had MPE and it was pretty loud. I'm more concerned about removal of secondaries if they create a nasty metal banging sound upon startup as several people had noted having with Xpipe Midpipe mods
This sounds better than any aftermarket full exhaust I’ve heard, crazy. Does the tune alter this sound at all? You just did 2.75 straight pipes in place of secondary cats and resonators or did you x pipe where resonators were? Thanks hope all is well
the very last resonator from the factory already has an x pipe so I left it. I still have the x pipe I was going to use. If I Kept the car I was going to replace the stock resonator/x pipe with the straight through x pipe to see if it was louder. This simple mod made the car more fun to drive. Stock form gets boring IMO....... I sold the car either way lol
@@jigglefootracing3398 Thanks for the reply, so you just straight piped the secondary cats and the other resonators ? Your car sounded sick so trying to replicate it thanks bro
Hi can you link or type out exactly what you bought to do this? All the details so I can take it to my boys and have them do it in a flash :) thank you 🙏
Hey man - this sounds awesome - i've got an M3 incoming - i want to do this - just so im correct all you did was remove resonators - im not mechincally sound so was the X pipe already there
Midpipe should never give a CEL, most people are getting them from the Downpipe as it affects the O2 sensor connected to the Downpipe. Lots of videos on the G80 Midpipe, personally I plan to go for the PSI Midpipe when my vehicle arrives😃 ruclips.net/video/foDb2suo7aA/видео.html
Damn!! It sounds so freaking good, great work!! Love the color too😎👍🏽
Been looking for a an upgraded exhaust for the G80 and this by far sounds the best. Nice work!
Sounds marvelous man
not bad for a 6 cylinder
man i miss the fall leaves...but its gonna be great spending xmas drinking a cold beer on the beach.
Hopefully we will have a pile of snow here lmao
gorgeous spec, colour looks amazing
That weld looks clean. Nice to have a TIG hookup 🤙
Oh my goodness this is so nasty 🔥🔥🔥 great video!!!
I am impressed for it being an inline six
I spent all my money on my G80 too 😂. I might look into doing this as well.
I sold the car but it is the ultimate daily driver I can say that much.
@@jigglefootracing3398 what did you get instead? Yeah, it’s going to be a perfect daily.. esp. w/ the 6-speed.
@@FreshlySnipes I got a 66 chevy II for no prep racing lol

Sounds great. Did you use the factory flanges to connect to the down pipes?
the exhaust un bolts from the down pipes and yes used factory flanges
Nice !!!!!

Wow! Super awesome!! That's exactly what I wanna do!! Do you know how much lighter it is compared to the stock?? Well done 👍🏼
It was a while ago but if I had to guess maybe 10-15lbs at minimum
amazing 🎉

What size piping did you use for the secondary cats and first resonator
2.75 inch
That thing is so fast it makes the video look sped up 😂

Can you easily revert back when selling the car? Or going through registration
you could have your fabricator v band everything and have it interchangeable I guess.
Where is the valve to silence it located?
in the rear of the car
What X pipe did you buy? Link please
My buddy made it for me I order the tubing
This sounds amazing. Do you know if it voids the warranty. Thanks
depends on your dealer lol
