      Sam Chui do u recommend buying miles which can cheapen the tickets more?

    • @SamChui
      @SamChui  6 лет назад +12

      be careful, you must understand the valuation of miles vs the ticket. Only benefit in the case the cost of buying miles is less than the ticket cost! I will do a video on the valuation of miles next Friday :)

    When comparing prices from expertflyer and the QF website, you didn't mention the QF sites prices said it included all taxes and fees while you had stated expertflyer did not. Just sayin, that may make QF sites prices look more inflated than they actually are. Love your content though bro keep up the good work!

    I have been using matrix.itasoftware.com (now owned by google) for years for prices. You cannot book a ticket with them, but when entering your departure or arrival cities, it will ask you if you want to try neighboring cities, anywhere from 50 to 2000 miles from your points. It quickly locates the cheapest points of departure. I'm hoping to go to Singapore in September. I live in Atlanta. Air in business is roughly $6500-8000. and UP from Atlanta. Plugging in 1000 miles from Atlanta, Houston Texas showed up, roughly $2000-4000. cheaper than Atlanta, on MOST airlines, Delta included. Going back to the Delta web site, and playing a few games, even lower fares popped up. Another point. Fares change daily, sometimes several times a day. Be firm of heart! If you saw a great fare a day ago, and it disappears, WAIT. It will probably return on Tuesday or Wednesday next week. (Although Delta's fares seem to drop on Mondays, gradually rising to a peak on Friday, only to drop again by Wednesday.) Great video, and thank you. Signing off, and checking out momondo.com

      Cairo airport is a hell hole that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone.
      It’s no surprise it’s cheaper as you’d have cut out most of the journey from London to Dubai if you fly from Cairo. London to Cairo is about £400. Not worth it.

    One needs to be careful booking thru the 3rd party agents that come up in sites like Momondo. If you need to change a booking it must be done thru them and in addition to any airline surcharges they want a want a massive fee for doing that. I booked a one way ticket from Melbourne to Trivandrum which looked like I needed to change but the extra costs from the ticket seller would have meant it cheaper to throw it away and re-book. Unless it's massively cheaper which it rarely is, I always pay a bit extra and book directly with the airline website but use Momondo and Skyscanner to find the flights and airlines I want

    Sam Chui has tons of excellent reviews in business and first class, I have been a fan since many years. The tricks to find the lowest fares in First or Business class are not bad. However, meanwhile there exist some pages that post business and first class deals on a daily basis. That makes it easy for everyone to find cheap business class airfares. My top 2 pages are a forum called Flyertalk, which has a dedicated page for premium fares from all over the worls, and a page called Premium-Flights which has as well an integrated search engine.

    Sam, I had an awful experience with Momondo. I had booked a flight from Santiago to Helsinki connecting through JFK. What happened through Momondo was my first flight (SCL -> JFK) was not registered. I spent over 2.5 hours the night before with LATAM making sure that I was on the flight to JFK, otherwise there would be no way I could g eat to Helsinki. LATAM fixed MOMONDO’s screw up!
    Just thought you would like to know 😀
    I enjoy your videos 😀

    Hi Sam, Grateful for your info however I have always wondered for example: If Someone is going from LHR to PER, why is it cheaper to get on or commence your journey from CDG. I could never understand that, Your in LHR and just to get the best fare you have to go to CDG to get it?. Could you explain to me why as a lot of airlines seem to be doing this

    No matter what. I would rather pay the top dollar than sit in the less that first class seat. I pay top dollar and expect top service. Thank You for the information.

    In fact ,China southern says their website is always providing the cheapest fare and if you found something cheaper, you may ask them to refund your spare fare

    Don't understand how a busy business man like Sam could spend so much time looking after all that website!
