Holy moly Batman, I either had one-too many cups of coffee, or I was just REALLY excited to make this video… lol. I sound like I’m hosting an auction with how fast I’m talking
People forget, sometimes, that video games are ONE source of entertainment, there's plenty of others available to us. As such, they're supposed to be enjoyable! Hearing someone talking with passion and enthusiasm about something they enjoy is a pleasure! Spread the Love and keep having fun!
So back in 2005, I have just got the game, leveled my first character to 9, I remember seeing a druid shapeshifting into a bear. And 10 year old me just thought that was the coolest thing ever. So I decided to level one myself. But back then I didn't understand English at all, plus I didn't really understand the concept of questing either. So I mob grinded to level 14, I got frustrated that I haven't gotten the bear form and eventually logged back into my original character. The point of the story is, that I am gonna live my childhood dream of playing a druid!
haha. I can relate to that. I made it through the quest (I think I was 12) and got bear form. played until level 19 on my tauren druid on hellfire. cant remember it that well. altoholic and deleted characters i didnt play for some reason -.-
I had a very similar story playing back then too, I tried a druid back in OG vanilla because I really like being able to stealth ( I had both a druid and a rogue). The first time I got my bear form followed by aquatic, I was in awe to say the least. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Fast forward 13/14 years later, here I am getting to relive it again
when i was 12, my first char was lock, i made it to lvl 18 and got new spells like soulstone and some others, i dindt like them so i stopped playing :D:D, same as you, i could barely speak english, it was on korean beta version
Soooo......... we are all playing druid for the same reson? When i was X (9-15) years I saw Y transform into Bear Form and it was (still is) THE COOLEST THING Nice that i m not the only won who started so :D
I am well into my 30s and gave up wow in cata. But I used to raid lead etc and used to have quite a few alts. Coming back late to classic I rolled druid as I have found it the most fun to play. Good job picking up on that!
Watching you clobber Sonii in the dueling tourny was the highlight to my Classic beta. I agree with everything you said, druids are an amazing class if you use their toolkit correctly!
I started off as a NE druid in vanilla, and every time I tried to make an alt... I just couldn't. The leveling experience as a druid is fantastic, and dungeons were a blast, and easy to put together, because druids can do all the roles perfectly for 5mans; just have your set of gear ready. Now, thanks to the efforts of people like SkarmTank, and the fact that my girl is interested in playing for the first time (and the nice cow people caught her eye), I'm going to go Tauren Druid. I was inspired by the fact Horde don't have great threat reduction tools, and feral tanks can put out threat that's on par with Thunderfury warriors, just by using a little weapon from Gnomeregan. I really like the idea of tanking raids, putting out tons of threat so DPS can go crazy, and the healers save their mana. I also like the idea that I would be providing warriors the benefit of not competing with them for gear. Plus, there are a surprising number of fights were Skarm thinks druids are just better tanks: -----Molten Core----- -Magmadar: Warriors better for tanking. -Other than that, Feral with resist gear is better choice due to threat generation. Pummeler king for threat, ofc. -----Onyxia----- -Weak attacks. -Fears in phase 3 makes warriors good, but Druids can pump out more threat. Fear Ward or Tremor Totems important because not even warriors can break out of all the fears she throws. -----BWL----- -Lack of feral gear noticeable at this point. Consumables can help mitigate issues. -Razorgore Phase1: Feral mobility is extremely helpful for trash mobs that are pumped out. Can also hibernate. -Vaelastrasz: Druids are just better tanks due to threat generation. -Broodlord: Consumables important; Stoneshield pot and armor buffs to reach armor cap possible. If armor capped, Broodlord will not hit hard. -Three Drakes: Same for druid as for warrior. -Chromaggus: hits hard, scary for druids. Can't use hourglass. Warrior better. -Nef: Warrior better. A lot of myths about druid tanks are being dispelled, and I like the idea of being part of that.
Thanks to Skarm and many other private server players there are a ton of things that are being discovered about druids and how to make them significantly more viable for raiding (such as MCP). I absolutely LOVE this. I definitely think there will be a higher percentage of druid players this time around for sure
Dude i feel the same every time i watch a "why roll a druid video" Now i run into lots of noob druids in azeroth People will prolly drop them by level 50 and roll noob class like mage or hunter xD
Similar reasons to you: the most fun, versatile, unique class in the game 👍 I always played healer all the way to BfA and after playing all healers in Vanilla I can say Druid is the most fun for the game AS A WHOLE. For me, what makes it fun is HotW spec for tank/heal. Nothing feels better than NEVER having to wait 1h for a Tank to join your 5/10/20 man group, only by switching your gear, then running to raid and alternate between heal/OT only by switching gear without need of respecing. Not only that but you can do decent in PvP even though your build is not optimal, you're still very close to the perfect FC build. On top of that, you can gold farm, wPvP, etc. Like you said, it's the only "real" hybrid in the game, and not only does it come with amazing quality of life, but it also allows you to enjoy every single aspect of the game, while having a pretty high skill-cap. 👍 Druid ftw!
For sure man, I mean there are only 2 classes in Classic wow that can do it: Druids and Paladins. And thankfully druid tanking and dps'ing are arguably more viable. But paladin healing is def on top.
Why I picked Druid: I played all the classes over the 14 years i've played wow. I truely enjoyed the flight form in BC and wanted to get a taste of druid in Classic and boy I love it. Couldn't agree more with this video. So many people think druids are an easy stomp that when you kite em or slowly make them look foolish while they try to gank you it is very satisfying. Great content and I love your gameplay in the tournaments. -Sinyl - Netherwind
I love this Sinyl, thanks for sharing. There's just something about this class that keeps it fun for me to keep playing. Its super satisfying when you about to do things a lot of others can't ya know
I've been playing on and off since 2006 and never played a Druid. With Classic right around the corner, Druid is going to be my main. I don't care about all the negativity surrounding them. They look super fun!
Same, the one class I never really played. I had a Druid but I never got him to max level because it was hard to go back to that class and try to remember how to play.
I wanted to main a healer as I always do, but given the simplicity of most healers in classic, I wanted one with at least the potential of a different playstyle. I've always just spammed chain heal, and wanted something else. Druids just spoke more to me than priests class-fantasy wise, I've always kinda loved druids, but for some reason always stuck to that shaman. After I decided on druid instead of priest I'm so hyped for classic. I can't wait to have a leveling experience like that, and actually trying to tank for the first time. Who knows, maybe I'll fall in love with tanking despite rolling the class with healing in mind. I also like that they serve a specific objective-focused purpose in BGs too, instead of just killing, or healing that guys that kill. I've always preferred focusing on the objective over getting the best KDA ratio. And finally, I love that I get to be special, and the likelihood of getting full tier sets despite being rather casual is pretty high.
For me Paladin is the best healer they pretty much never go oom have the highest hps and incredibly important buffs. Since you have so many utility spells you also won't just keep spamming the same heal over and over.
I played a hunter all thru vanilla, but started a druid in MoP and have fallen in love with them. I am seriously considering rolling druid for classic and this video might have just pushed me over the edge. Thanks!
My biggest reason for choosing druid this time around is simply because i've never really given druid a real thought before. Classic for me is about the experience of learning something new, figuring out a way to counter a problem and to me druid is the "perfect counter" to most problems.
The great thing about druid that I feel most classes lack. Is we have the potential/ opportunity to come out on top in many situations if played right. I guess what I mean by that is, druids have a high potential to come out on top if we can outplay properly. It's not like a warrior against a frost mage for example... where the mage would REALLY have to mess up a lot and the warrior would have to almost play perfectly to come out on top. Obviously things like shadow priest and locks are REALLY hard for us, but it CAN be possible.
Maaaaan HOTW/NS is a grown ass man's dream for a spec. Playing only a handful of hours a week will be no worries as I know I'll be able to fit in anywhere and do whatever (whenever) I want! Thanks for the content it made me hype to play Classic!
Much love dude! Haha that spec is DEFINITELY one of my favorites as well, I can't wait to start making montages of WPvP with that spec... OMG IM HYPED :)
@@REVERYXO As someone who was ignorant to Druid for most of WoW (Other than hating how impossible they were to kill) I'm looking forward to your content and learning as much as possible !
Druids are fun and a very complex class. In PvE you'll never be the top dog as u said but you'll always get a raid spot, just because you're not on top of the healing/dps meter doesn't mean you cannot have fun right? and the feeling when you beat the others is great, so a win win for me! I mained Druid in Vanilla and I had so much fun. I started out as a feral, was allowed to raid as it but I ended up swapping to Resto because all the tier gear was for healing + it looked amazing (t2 + t3 = best sets in the game!). In PvP I always had spot in premades, especially when I played resto since I was able to pretty much run the flags in WSG without assistance unless u played vs a HW premade and overall an elusive healbot is great. In Duels you are god, you can bet almost every class consistently, only warlocks and pom mages were tricky, especially with good gear but besides that once u know how to play against each class you'll find success comes fast. I agree the hybrid fighting technic is prob the most versetile and therefor the strongest for the druid, and for anyone that's new to druids in general I would suggest watching the "Nerf Druids" series to get a better understanding of the basics and ofc watching content from classic druid creators :) There are also a ton of cool items that are really good for duels that no one really wants, I had huge success with the book from Onyxia that summons a skeleton to fight for u on a cd.
This comment definitely needs more upvotes for sure, I loved everything you said here Drefan. Nailed it right on the head. I really appreciate this comment and I hope to have you around here more often brother
Yeah!!! When I read about what people say about druid, about it sucking and being useless, I was so shocked! I played feral and resto druid at vanilla in pvp and some pve, it was amazing. Yeah other classes do one thing "very well". And yeah I might not tank bwl. But I can heal and dps and offtank. What other class can do that? What other class can be so versatile and fun to play in pvp? Don't listen people saying our class sucks, they're wrong.
God I've been a druid main forever and the amount of people saying "Lol you're rolling a druid why they are so bad in vanilla" is triggeriiiiiiiing, have fun getting 1v1'd by any druid at 60 mate.
Haha yeah i know the feeling, as i stated I'll be tanking and i get comments like "wrong class reroll", but atleast i can do more than just tank or dps, utilization is the keyword for me.
Druids are awesome. My second main character ever, and the fluidity, adaptability, speed, and having an answer to almost every single situation is priceless! Definitely one of my all time favorite classes. On a personal side note: One thing I've always enjoyed a lot to the point I started to weird myself out a bit was going into the Ocean in Aquatic form and just farm Stranglekelp endlessly. Good times.
...because I was a hunter in retail and always needed healer/tank for 5mans aside the fact stealth cat is alot of fun as im playing around with it before classic
CAT DURID IS 4 FITE Also I like being the underrepresented, but entirely ESSENTIAL class. Priests better bribe me with free enchants before raid, or else they don't get innervate!
so I never got to play wow on my own as a little kid, my parents would not spend money on a subscription game, but my neighbor/friend had wow. I only ever got to watch him play/play at his house when vanilla was out, then he eventually quit a little after hitting 60 and i could never play it again. When i got older I was able to pay with my own money and got it when wrath came out, got to lv 80, went on a 2 week vacation, my account got hacked and was used to hack items into the game, got perma banned and wasnt able to refute it after many attempts. havent played since. I'm coming back for classic and im oh so excited, my lv 80 was a fury warrior and I was gonna do it again, but youve got me wanting to come back as a druid now. well made video
Glad you enjoyed the video, sorry to hear what happened in retail. But on the positive side, I think it will make this experience that much more enjoyable :)
Druid was my first class in wotlk. And just the memories of teldrassil etc always takes me back. I still play druid today in retail and even if I can’t primarily play feral in classic. The fact that you can beat basically every class and the toolkit is in depth. Just makes it exciting. (My first actual 80 in wotlk was rogue but i will likely play both)
This time round I plan to go horde but I have been on the fence between a Druid or lock. Even though a Druid might be more challenging to play well I think they will be so much more satisfying. Their utility to cope with many situations is going to be great. So much diversity for pvp but it’s a shame for raids I will most likely only be asked to heal. But that will be a bit of a change for me anyway. I guess playing a lock which was my original main is a little nostalgic and don’t really shine until late game. Videos like this one just help reassure me that I will be fine playing a Druid and it will be a load of fun! Thanks for that dude 👍
Hey Riganti! Anytime man I hope this helped :) both druids and locks ofc are good, just in different ways. IMO I do think that druid will definitely be more satisfying overall, but locks can be insane on the high damage side of things if thats your cup of tea :)
I like the idea of being a faeri fire Debuff applied with the 60 energy cat form talent and helm allowing me to burn to zero energy, shapeshifter out to hot or reapply FF, and back to burn again, sounds like really involved gameplay that can cover a lot of ground in terms of total healing and damage done. This is the reason I like retail port pally cuz they can heal and tank at the same time.
I was having second guesses about running Druid but I'm all in now, I can't wait. I wanted to run one when I was young but played a Pally thinking it was a warrior instead.
My reasons for playing druid: 1. Always a different playstyle. I get bored if I keep doing the same thing every day. 2. True hybrid spec that allows me to tank, dps and heal reasonably effectively. The 30/21 HOTW Swiftmend spec. 3. Moonglade. I set my hearthstone to Undercity or SW/IF and I never have to take a boat again. 4. If I play on a PVP server, I can level with a spec that levels very efficiently while being able to avoid ganks and still tank or heal if needed. 5. In addition to your observation on being an underplayed class, being underplayed also means you will gear up faster than any other class. If a piece of druid gear drops in a raid you will only be competing with one or two people for it instead of several if you play something else. 6: Not terribly gear dependent.
1) Same with me brother, it's hard for me to play a non-hybrid at minimum 2) Fun spec that can do pretty much everything! 3) Very helpful for getting around, especially to winterspring 4) This is why I love things like stealth 5) We all love MOAR GEAR >:) 6) Which makes life easier for leveling! All great reasons man!
I’m really bad at picking a class. I was when I first started wow and still am, but I think I’ve settled on Druid. They’re just so fun and flexible and I think the flexibility goes well with my indecisiveness!
I am definitely going to be maining Tauren Druid. I missed Vanilla, but played Nelf Druid from BC until I quit in WoD. Planning to tank my way to 60, raid for gear if I can find a guild, and PvP whenever I can. Can't wait!
That's awesome man! There are a lot of good druid tanking guides out there, I have a feeling that druid tanking might become more viable this time around with all the discoveries from the private server players and what they are finding. Can't wait to see it in action!
I'm going to play a Druid in classic because I played a Druid in vanilla and BC. Also, I like feral tank and feral DPS. PvP isn't about dmg like rogues warriors warlocks and mages and hunters. It's about who can survive and sustain themselves longer than the other player.
Im planning on playing druid cuz i love having versatility as well as having the ability to pick your fights (also just has a really cool class fantasy) EDIT: phrasing
I have never played world of warcraft before until 2019 release, so I decided to get into classic with a background in other MMOs. As a fresh player i was sold the moment I heard shape-shifter to be honest. It is a super unique thing to me in general not to mention I love mobility. Once I learnt about how many different things you could do, it became my favourite thing. Also getting around is super easy because you definitely walk around a lot levelling I have found.
I began WoW in Early BC, so how the druid plays in Classic intrigues me. I know I wont be able to pwn as a restokin this time around, but the classic hybrid game is still very appealing.
Love the mobility the "underdog" mentality, the less played makes you feel less of a sheep style player, as well as the versatility. I love styling on opponents as well this class is for me and I'm excited to play druid in classic. I wish I could roll troll but no biggy I'll mostly be in some sort of shape anyways. I've been searching for videos like this instant subscribe keep it up bro.
Hey Zach, really appreciate what you said man thank you. These are many of the same reasons why I'm also excited to play druid :) Best of luck to you come launch!
I played a mage though most of '06 and into BC. Started a druid during BC and fell in love with the class; I'm curious how different the BC experience was from the classic druid. At the end of the day - vs choosing another class - it comes down to not being able to give up stealth and/or the ability to move fast through water. I would like to see a deeper examination of the hybrid specs.
For sure Daniel. I'll try to give you a short answer here: BC druid compared to Classic druid is very different imo. Druids became a lot more "viable" and the changes made to them between the expansions made them really good. Its hard for me to say if you would still enjoy it in classic because its very subjective, but there are some key differences between the two (i.e. cyclone is huge among other things). Obviously there's only 2 classes than can stealth, and druids have overall more mobility than rogues if that's important to you. But rogues will have more DPS output in general.
Great video. Personally, I played Pally in early WoW; not swapping to Druid until late-Wrath when I realized the classes potential. Since then; the play style, versatility, utility, and class fantasy have eclipsed all other MMO classes for me. I'm going into classic as druid to see what I missed in the early days.
Hey Dusk, I can attest (atleast for myself) that I've played druid for the last 13/14 years or so. Even in classic a lot of it holds true. I will say thought the druid does in fact become a lot better in later expansions. In classic, we just have to work a little bit harder to achieve the same results. But its very possible, and feels REALLY good when you do :)
Oldhat classic boy here. I was always mad jealous of my mate Diurd the Druid and his enormous toolkit of fun. I always regretted not picking druid back then as im not an alt kinda guy. I'm getting a second chance at playing the right class so here we go! . I would like to make a comment on how fantastic Druids duo with some classes. Namely if you are horde Druid/Shaman is horrifically strong (my old duo with diurd) and you are largely unkillable in world pvp and can punch WAY above your weight. Once you get the flow down you can 2v4+ in open world. They compliment each other perfectly in every way
Hey brother! Welcome back :) I also agree that shamans and druids pair very well together, one of my good friends is playing a sham and im stoked for it. They are a force to be reckoned with!!
So after maining feral from o. G. Vanilla - wrath I rolled a rogue this time around and all the way through lvl 45 I fought the urge to play druid. Then I watched you in the qualifiers and ithink it was the 360 moonfires in the mage duel that got me but I now have a level 15 druid ;) good show my dude.
I just started play wow classic and wow in general just a few days ago. And I always told myself that if I were to play I’d be the big cow that can turn into other animals...so far I’m having a blast playing classic and playing the Druid class
i was thinking of maining a Druid for classic, and this really got the point! im mainly wanna do pvp in classic since i dont have much friends or schedules to do raids and stuff, and this video really uplift myt choise, thanks!! can you make a tutorial of your rock solid pvp skills? i mean how to use shapeshifting properly and so. Anyway, awesome video, cheers !!
Hey Super! I am getting a lot of request of doing duel reviews and WSG FC stuff. I'll do my best to scramble around and gather some footage and see what I can put together :) Thanks for the kind words homie
I want to play a Druid because I played a Rogue back in the day between ages 18-24 without playing an alt and now I want to master the class that offers everything. I like high skill cap classes that aren't 1 dimensional.
I have always played healer, but I wanted a glass that could switch to melee effectively. In addition, the spirit regent compared to shaman is excellent, their gear sets are excellent and perhaps most of all, it’s the only class that is truly transfactional. Plus I love the Tauren - gentle, kind, peaceful, earth worshippers.
I have been playing druid for 15 years already, and guess what i'll play on classic - druid. Only people which didn't know a thing about that class don't like it. I'm competative person and for all these years I have been hard competing with classes totally stronger in pure numbers, but actual skills and proper playing are getting the druids out of the garbage, and if you perform at your best, not a stupid RL will prefer you on top of constantly failing rogue/mage/warrior. As its been said a milions of times - dead dps is 0 dps. Good luck to all the druids in classic, i'll stay druid forever :)
I'm an ultra casual player, 9-5er. I'm currently maining an orc lock, but I'm only lvl 43 due to time constraints, IRL obligations. I've been on the fence about playing a druid alt. I figure with phase 2 coming out, and me being relatively low level, I might as well switch to an alt for the beginning of world PvP just so I can bypass getting farmed. I'm also somewhat of an alt addict. I gotta say man - I've watched Skarm, I've watched Ebbn - you have convinced me to try druid. You really magnified all of the attributes that made me find the class appealing in the first place. I've got a low level Tauren Druid on Whitemane. I'll be hopping on him tonight when I get home from work. Thanks dawg! And please keep the druid content coming :) good luck in the tourney!
Hey brother respect and love another fellow 9-5r , I'm a 22 year old guy that runs a business and I have hunter super casual friendly but druid play druid my friend
Definitely interested in rolling druid due to the versatility and utility offered like you mentioned in the video, and I like the idea of a challenge to problem solve every different situation. If you aren't planning on it already, you should make a Druid Macro video with must-have macros and other helpful ones. Loved both the videos so far, keep up the good work man.
Really appreciate the input Isaac thank you for the kind words brother. I wasn't originally planning on doing a macro video, but if that's something you're interested in I can come up with something for sure!
@@REVERYXO Please do! I decided to go druid last minute (was a druid main in Vanilla, but was also 11 years old) so I'd like to know how to properly play it this time.
I played Druid during vanilla up to even today, in Vanilla the hardest 1v1 class was warlock, and I still feel I had the advantage. Other than that I felt pretty unkillable. You never hear people saying it was a top class in pvp though. But you literally could kill every class it felt abusive. You could also just live and make classes go oom then kill them. Tauren was also the better druid though shadowmeld had its perks vs casters. Edit: another reason to play druid is in raid most guilds only bring 2 to 3 druids so it's easy to get geared.
@@REVERYXO one thing I don't know because in original classic aka vanilla, there was almost 0 elemental shaman's and from what I have seen in more recent years they can murder anything. I don't necessarily see that being a easy fight.
@@illfate757 fighting other hybrids can be tough, because we really dont have all that much in out hit to "prevent" healing such as MS, or constant cc + silences. So from a duel stand point it can be rough, but still possible. Out in the open world though, our advantage is stealth... let them fight some mobs until they are relatively low mana or burned some CD's, then open!
I definitely picked druid because of its versatility, making pvp super interesting, so looking to develop it as my main class. I am sure you have talked about these topics on your stream, but making beginner guides on rotation, how to play against different classes, basic pvp stuff (maybe even basic pve guides) focused on druid would be amazing! Looking forward to any future druid content you put out!
willing to bet there is going to be a ton a druids this time around, i was a druid in vanilla and wasnt a lot of us, during the test other day there were sooo many druids
I also agree with this Ray. But one thing you may consider too is how many of those druids are actually going to make it to 60? I think the combination of the difficulty of the class + the leveling grind itself may end up making people quit druids early on imo
Stupid question, but do you have macros that shift to bear form plus feral charge the enemy? I feel like in PvP, clicking the different shapeshift forms above action bars is a negative. If you could post your macros that would really amazing. Thanks!
Made me more happy about my choice on going for the druid! I’d really like to see a video on how to effectively play the Druid in pve/pvp from lvl 1-60!
I opted in for a rogue at the start of classic but I can't help but want to chase my feral intuition. Druid was my first main in TBC when I started. But really interested in trying out a good balance/resto talent set up. If you have one it would be greatly appreciated. Great video and thank you for reminding on how fun they can be.
Druids are insane at WSG yeah. AB, they are good at being quick to rotate nodes/ ninja cap with rogues. I've also successfully defended since we can stealth/ moonfire from far away, kite around or sit in bear form and "spin the flag"... and if its a rogue you can FF so they can't restealth. In AV, theres not 1 single class that is just plain better since with 40 people numbers +coordination will win games more so than a specific class will.
My first character ever was a night elf male named Kacara, I’m really torn between returning to my roots or playing hunter. It’s a really tough choice.
Why am I rolling druid? I have to agree, they are hands-down THE most fun to play. I don't care about BiS (for the most part) or topping meters, I want to be fluid in my roles and fill the cracks in the raids.
Damn, great video! I wanted to play shaman or hunter but after this video I really want to play druid :D.. Damn, now its even harder to choose what I want to play :(.. Anyway, great video, new sub here
Haha sorry for making your decision harder man! Play what you think you'll enjoy the most, good thing is there will be plenty of time to try them all out!
I am not going to play druid but i have to say you made a great case as to why someone should. I personally will be playing shadow priest because I honestly feel like I could have did more in world pvp back in the day and didnt. If I hadnt already made up my mind I would role druid.
Torn apart by rolling choices in vanilla and as an altoholic it makes my life a pain :) Druid feels the best to me indeed, good vid and subbed. Any place for good macros? I remember never using them in clasic and druid really needed some
hey Slicky, I appreciate the love man! Yeah unfortunately Classic is definitely not very alt-friendly compared to retail :) But! A good way to make up for it, is by playing a hybrid class so I hope this helps a bit. I think what I might do is come the last beta day (Aug 8th this week) I'll look into making a list/video of my macros then!
If I didn't have to farm Gnomeregan for the pummelers in order to raid tank optimally, I would definitely main druid. But im going to stick with warrior, because 1) pretty plate 2) im a bit too lazy to do the additional prep for feral tank (besides all the regular prep)
Good reasons ,totally agree, I'm stuck between priest and druid, I mained a priest in classic it was super fun pvp, but I think I want something new, what race you playing, new sub great video
I’m torn between Druid and priest I really want to heal but LOVE NIGHT ELVES. Don’t really want to get whispered everyday as a Nelf priest to reroll to dwarf bc my racials are not the best...
Love the video! You're one subscriber richer. I was wondering though, how useful is a feral/resto druid in BGs? Are you just the designated flag carrier or can you actually be impactful in AB/AV too? I love the underdog fantasy and proving others that a class can be great in the right hands. Lastly; how good is the rank 10 gear? Is it something to aim for when you mainly play PvP, or should you aim for raid gear mostly? Thanks in advance!
Hey Bas sorry for the late reply man! IMO there are a couple specs that are viable in BG's for druids. One of my favorites is the HoTW spec because of the utility for FC'ing in WSG and its survivability. I've seen people rock something similar to a moonglow spec for things like AB/AV because of the value of being able to heal better/longer for group fights, but thats up to you! Rank 10 gear is good if you can get it. The (4-piece set bonus? IIRC) has the increased 15% increased movement speed bonus which is HUGE. So yes its worth it :) Thanks for the sub man, I appreciate the support
You know I mained a lock in Vanilla and had a good time but it's not 2005 anymore and I'd like to try something different. Druid is looking to be that fun yet challenging class I'm wanting.
I really enjoy healing is a druid plus the quality of life that comes with being one is hard to pass up. My wife is leveling a mage , her DPS cc conjurations and teleportation plus what a druid brings will make our leveling experience a blast. I’m considering herbalism and alchemy but when it comes to making flasks Can a druid stealth to the alchemy table?
Quick question. I played feral through 10-52 so I could tank for my guild, but it looks like u went balance build, with some emphasis on feral for charge and such. Would u recommend one or the other? I get that ur version would have better mana management, but bearform would be far better in my build, which seems to be what I spend most of my time in to feel safe during leveling?
Hey Mikesc, it we are talking about strictly leveling efficiency... your best bet would be to do a dedicated feral (cat) dps build getting Leader of the Pack, 5/5 furor and getting Omen of Clarity. Then at 60, I would respec into something more versatile (like HoTW spec) so you can tank/heal 5 mans easily to get geared for raiding. Then depending on what role you take on in raids, respec for that! Hope this helps.
@@REVERYXO Yea and no, Should have been more specific, my bad. I why full cat for leader of the park along with some bear perks so I could use 1 spec for questing and tanking dungeons. My question was more towards PvP, if it's better to go for a balance build with some resto and feral at max of or if feral is still good then? I feel like I did swimmingly in open world PvP as feral
hey kevin I would definitely love to do something like that. I think thats a great idea! I don't really play private servers but I think I should have different 1v1 matchups from the level 40 beta I might be able to use :)
I'm set on druid but not on faction honestly. I like Alliance and Horde. I like Night Elf and Tauren, both feel like they have advantage and disadvantages.
I saw Ebbn make a video about grinding, but could you perhaps make one with how you see/do it? I love to see other druids show their take on this for tips and such. So maybe don’t cover the obvious ones like lasher and princess and so on. Could there be less tedious ways? Great video btw!
You are making this really hard, you know? I was so certain that I wanted to play a priest. I want my main-role to be a healer and I really like that I can wand when there's no healing to be done and that I can ressurect and have a dispel that works offensively and defensively. But beeing shown all the things that I would miss out on by not playing a druid just for being able to wand... Stealth, getting out of roots, tanking... Now I have to put more thought into that.
Haha AIL sorry man! Just trying to justify the class a bit :) Obviously I'll be more bias toward druids cause I love their playstyle. Its just so fun and mobile which priests really lack. BUT priest are also a great choice for the reasons you mentioned. All of those druids lack for the most part, but we make up for it in other ways!
Yeah the video really sold me on druid in pvp but in pve I think no more then 1 or 2 druids are needed because they really just have innervate and battlerezz speaking for them and I will probably Mainly raid so I really want to shine in the role I take. For pvp druid really looks amazing and there the versatility matters a lot more.
@@Speedcoore for sure. From what you said about wanting to shine in a specific role in a raid, druids aren't that kind of class when it comes down to that. They are needed for the ways you mentioned along with FF as well but yeah, I totally understand man!
Hey, just found your channel and I'm enjoying your content quite alot... so subscribed and already followed you on Twitch! haha So, yesterday on classicwow subreddit topic " What Should I Play Wednesdays (October 02, 2019)" I've posted something like "1 month later and still haven't decided a main.... I'm playing Mage and Priest but I want a non-caster as well... thinking about Warrior and Rogue" Then a really helpful and nice guy r/sherbeb answer me and suggested to try Druid! A class that I've never played on WoW (I've started on late Wrath). He said that Druid is a great class all-around and its great for someone who is having trouble to decide a class to main. You can tank dungeons quite well, go feral DPS, heal as Resto, fun to level, Travel Form, hard to gank, good for PvP (he said the classes he is having more trouble are Priests and Warlocks), you can see a big difference between a good and a bad Druid (this one is a huge pro, IMO), you probably are the rarest class in the game right now. ... I had a question for you but my ADHD is attacking and I completely forget what it was hahaha. Anyway... I'll still leave the comment and hope to remember what was the question but meanwhile, any suggestion for a talent spec to level? PS: Sorry if some stuff are confuse or make no sense... English is not my mother language.
I've mained a druid from original vanilla until BFA. The versatility of the class keeps me from getting bored. I can fill any role I feel like playing.
Hey revery I know its been over a year since this video was posted, but I wanted to know how you play druid in large team fights. I like the druid theme but i don't want to be useless, and i get my enjoyment in the game not by topping meters but by knowing that I helped my teammates do better. Some people thatI should just play shaman instead. Do you get that feeling playing druid?
Campeon my man!! Good to see you brother! I would go as far as saying druid is definitely one of the most gear independent classes for sure. I mean hunter's are prob #1 since you obviously have a pet. But it can be argued that druids can be #2-#3 right behind them depending on the scenario! Hope this helps!
In currently between druid and shaman for classic. Shaman was my first 60. My friend is rolling warrior so shammy should be a better duo partner for him.
Both classes are fun in their own ways brother. Play what you wish :) I would suggest play what you want since leveling is only one aspect of the game! Windfury totem is mongo for melee though there's no doubt about it!
Great video! Im thinking about going either druid or spriest. I would like to hear your thoughts on what benefits I get in PvP from playing these, a comparison.
Hey Spacer, sorry for the late reply man. In a nutshell, Spriests have INSANE burst damage, they are the best 1v1 class if played right. But you oom VERY quickly, so you will be spending a lot of time drinking after each encounter, also no stealth or mobility. Druids don't really have any burst potential at all compared to Spriest, but more utility/ survivability, able to choose fights with stealth and WAY higher mobility to escape if need be.
i want to play druid so bad for classic.. bad every time i go into Henhouse i get smoked big time.. i just dont know when to switch in which form when something happens.. its like standing in a room with 4 doors and after these doors there are 4 more.. can u make a video about keybinds for fast form switching? that is a major struggle i have (saw a tauren druid got chased by 15 people in stormwind and survived and killed most of them in og vanilla.. that moment was mesmerizing)
Hey Absólem! First, I would say take Henhouse with a grain of salt. There will be a VERY small portion of people who will have that gear/ items/ trinkets/ consumables at their disposal. Its not a practical situation from the game itself. Being a good druid player relies a bit on knowing the class your fighting/ cooldowns etc. Because a lot of your gameplay will rely on countering that. I might look into making a similar video from what you requested in the future!
@@REVERYXO Actually henhouse is a good/rough representation of what it turns into once people start farming BWL and beyond gear, which will be easy once its released. I agree with every pvp point you made in this video but a year after vanilla came out most dps classes became geared enough you're just going to die quite easy. If you're going to do druid, have an alt on the back burner. Also I loved playing druid at release, best time I had playing wow, you could wittle down every class except maybe disc priest, I did play alliance though.
Please does ani1 know any addon like EZdismount for shapeshifting that acually work on classic now... i found it for mount but not for forms. Ps great video it made my choise so much easier now!
Holy moly Batman, I either had one-too many cups of coffee, or I was just REALLY excited to make this video… lol. I sound like I’m hosting an auction with how fast I’m talking
Dont worry :), we liked it!

I made it through the quest (I think I was 12) and got bear form. played until level 19 on my tauren druid on hellfire. cant remember it that well. altoholic and deleted characters i didnt play for some reason -.-
Pretty similar to my own story, I never got past level 24 or 25 since I didn't understand many of the quests
When i was X (9-15) years I saw Y transform into Bear Form and it was (still is) THE COOLEST THING
Nice that i m not the only won who started so :D
I am well into my 30s and gave up wow in cata. But I used to raid lead etc and used to have quite a few alts. Coming back late to classic I rolled druid as I have found it the most fun to play. Good job picking up on that!
Watching you clobber Sonii in the dueling tourny was the highlight to my Classic beta. I agree with everything you said, druids are an amazing class if you use their toolkit correctly!
Haha this comment ACTUALLY made my day brother, thank you!
Hell yah ebbnflow is heee too in the comment section this guy is also a OG DURID BOSS OMG
can't wait to roll druid :) between Skarm , and Ebbnflow I had my decision. Then Revery just comes and reinforces it. master class
@@jordanloewen8509 love u :)
Omg its ebb
Plus, there are a surprising number of fights were Skarm thinks druids are just better tanks:
-----Molten Core-----
-Magmadar: Warriors better for tanking.
-Other than that, Feral with resist gear is better choice due to threat generation. Pummeler king for threat, ofc.
-----Onyxia-----
-Weak attacks.
-Fears in phase 3 makes warriors good, but Druids can pump out more threat. Fear Ward or Tremor Totems important because not even warriors can break out of all the fears she throws.
-----BWL-----
-Lack of feral gear noticeable at this point.
Yo as someone who's maining a druid can you stop getting others to join us? SHEESH WE TRYING TO GET GEAR OVER HERE. :D
LOL. I should have made a video on the "Top 5 reasons why you should NOT play druid in Classic" XD More loot for us!
@Clark Kent Crap, maybe I should delete this video..... :O
Dude i feel the same every time i watch a "why roll a druid video"
Now i run into lots of noob druids in azeroth
People will prolly drop them by level 50 and roll noob class like mage or hunter xD
Similar reasons to you: the most fun, versatile, unique class in the game 👍
I always played healer all the way to BfA and after playing all healers in Vanilla I can say Druid is the most fun for the game AS A WHOLE.
My man! Love this Max, you sir know the deal!
I will play Druid because I like being the underpopulated class + easier to get gear and need to satisfy my desire to heal, tank, and dps.
For sure man, I mean there are only 2 classes in Classic wow that can do it: Druids and Paladins. And thankfully druid tanking and dps'ing are arguably more viable. But paladin healing is def on top.
i feel you bro, i play protection paladin for its rarity.
Thanks!
Anytime my brother :) both classes are very fun and if it really comes down to it, you can have one as an alt!!
1- Be a masochist
2- Really enjoy Rank 4 Healing Touch
3- Really enjoy running the flag in WSG
That's all I got.
-Druid main 2005-2009
hey sounds like me, where do I subscribe?
I agree the hybrid fighting technic is prob the most versetile and therefor the strongest for the druid, and for anyone that's new to druids in general I would suggest watching the "Nerf Druids" series to get a better understanding of the basics and ofc watching content from classic druid creators :)
There are also a ton of cool items that are really good for duels that no one really wants, I had huge success with the book from Onyxia that summons a skeleton to fight for u on a cd.
This comment definitely needs more upvotes for sure, I loved everything you said here Drefan. Nailed it right on the head. I really appreciate this comment and I hope to have you around here more often brother
Is there some sort of gearing for PvP guide anywhere?
Thyraz is the reason a rolled a Druid. Im not nearly as good as him, but i still have a ton of fun. Watching a good Druid play is a work of art
God I've been a druid main forever and the amount of people saying "Lol you're rolling a druid why they are so bad in vanilla" is triggeriiiiiiiing, have fun getting 1v1'd by any druid at 60 mate.
Imagine caring about 1v1. Better counter wins
Good times.
Everyone should check out Oyoyo PvP 1 and 2. I promise you it will be the absolute best PvP movie by a Druid you will EVER see.
...because I was a hunter in retail and always needed healer/tank for 5mans aside the fact stealth cat is alot of fun as im playing around with it before classic
CAT DURID IS 4 FITE
Also I like being the underrepresented, but entirely ESSENTIAL class. Priests better bribe me with free enchants before raid, or else they don't get innervate!
SUM DURIDS IS MOON KIN
Them 1s is look all funny liek maybe form MOON! LOL!
Best trade ever! I might have to start selling my innervates too... XD
Druids as you said are unique and I love having options not being forced into one role
so I never got to play wow on my own as a little kid, my parents would not spend money on a subscription game, but my neighbor/friend had wow.
Pallies and druids have a lot of similarities for sure. And I agree that druids are also a class that requires alot of active gameplay :)
Honestly bro, I was on the fence with this class because I intentionally NEVER played one. You made a believer out of me!
Haha this is awesome man, I'm glad to see this video is doing some good out there :) Much love
I was having second guesses about running Druid but I'm all in now, I can't wait. I wanted to run one when I was young but played a Pally thinking it was a warrior instead.
Unfortunately (in this regard) paladins and warriors are very different in classic. I hope you like the druid man
My reasons for playing druid:
1) Same with me brother, it's hard for me to play a non-hybrid at minimum
2) Fun spec that can do pretty much everything!
3) Very helpful for getting around, especially to winterspring
4) This is why I love things like stealth
5) We all love MOAR GEAR >:)
6) Which makes life easier for leveling!
Im planning on playing druid cuz i love having versatility as well as having the ability to pick your fights (also just has a really cool class fantasy)
EDIT: phrasing
I definitely might have to dive into more of the class fantasy/ lore this time around! Im pumped for you brother!
Two in one week we have truly been blessed
Haha thanks brother I hope you enjoyed the vid
@@REVERYXO hey lets not forget the glory of a 2 druid/3 rogue dungeon party. Skip all the trash
@@lokiramza :) stealth runs ftw!
@@REVERYXO Awesome! If possible all must have macro's as well :)
I want to play a Druid because I played a Rogue back in the day between ages 18-24 without playing an alt and now I want to master the class that offers everything. I like high skill cap classes that aren't 1 dimensional.
Exactly, the druid has so much potential and a force to be reckoned with if you can master the class!
Love this man. I've have always been a fan of tauren druids for the same reasons :)
Both you and me brother, same to you
I'm an ultra casual player, 9-5er.
Update on ur tauren druid on whitemane lv?
Exactly, personally I find it amazing when people underestimate me. It just makes me that much more adamant to kill them in game >:)
Ty for your video, man! I'll main a druid after this. Definitely I'll come back for more druid's content!
hey Antonio! Love it brother. I'm glad to have you here
I definitely picked druid because of its versatility, making pvp super interesting, so looking to develop it as my main class. I am sure you have talked about these topics on your stream, but making beginner guides on rotation, how to play against different classes, basic pvp stuff (maybe even basic pve guides) focused on druid would be amazing! Looking forward to any future druid content you put out!
After thinking about if I should play Pala or Priest for over a year nowI finally decided that I will go Druid. Just cause why not.
LOL. Love it Yuki, this comment actually made my night :)
@@REVERYXO :D
Top quality Videos man!
I have played every class in wow except druid and I am looking forward to a fresh experience! Keep up the good work!
Hey Joseph! I'm excited for you man, IMO this is probably the one class that plays very different than others in classic! Best of luck :)
willing to bet there is going to be a ton a druids this time around, i was a druid in vanilla and wasnt a lot of us, during the test other day there were sooo many druids
Thanks!
I loved Feral since i started playing... I love the versatility and utility, like u said... ~7 minute Video= very informative!!!! Thank you!
Made me more happy about my choice on going for the druid! I’d really like to see a video on how to effectively play the Druid in pve/pvp from lvl 1-60!
Great video! Keep it up man! I'm playing druid for their versatility and high skill ceiling.
Thanks josh! Definitely one of my favorite reasons for playing one as well!
To be fair WSG is one of the three battle grounds available. To be the best class at actually winning 1/3 of all BG's is nothing to sniff at.
Title is correct GG man lol, sorry I haven’t caught any streams for a while keep up the vids man this was good
All good brother, thanks for supporting the YT grind
Great video man, I was gunna create a warlock as saw some bad stuff for druid but after watching this I think I may change my mind :D
Love it Alex, best of luck my brother
I had an addiction to re-rolling and i can do everything as druid.
You'll definitely save yourself a headache lol. Classic isn't very alt-friendly :)
@@REVERYXO Hey sorry to intrude, but what do u mean by "alt-friendly"? just out of curiosity
I mean why is it not alt friendly, not that I dont get the point
Nice Video champ! Maybe i will play Drood now ;)
Appreciate the love brother! You should :)
My first character ever was a night elf male named Kacara, I’m really torn between returning to my roots or playing hunter. It’s a really tough choice.
hunter will be by far the most played class - id avoid it.
This is an absolutely amazing Video, That's all that needs to be said.
Thanks wolvz
Why am I rolling druid? I have to agree, they are hands-down THE most fun to play.
I don't care about BiS (for the most part) or topping meters, I want to be fluid in my roles and fill the cracks in the raids.
Exactly Tom, I just enjoy the class to every end!
Great video. Would love to see you do a spec and gear guide for PvP Druids
I may have something like this in the works :)
Torn apart by rolling choices in vanilla and as an altoholic it makes my life a pain :)
Druid feels the best to me indeed, good vid and subbed.
This guys is an OG Druid now this a is a good droood video ALAMO TEEECHES US ALL TO PLAY DURID AND LOVE DURID ❤️
ALL GOOD DURDZ HAEV RAED: "ALAMOES COMPLEET DURID INSTURCKSHUN"
Will play warrior, but you made druid look very fun :)
Thanks Yoav, best of luck to you man! Warriors are insane as well :)
I watched your video of your duel turny and It was also one of the classes that look the most fun
If I didn't have to farm Gnomeregan for the pummelers in order to raid tank optimally, I would definitely main druid. But im going to stick with warrior, because 1) pretty plate 2) im a bit too lazy to do the additional prep for feral tank (besides all the regular prep)
I totally understand Daniel, the MCP farm is definitely something I don't want to do either lol.
Good reasons ,totally agree, I'm stuck between priest and druid, I mained a priest in classic it was super fun pvp, but I think I want something new, what race you playing, new sub great video
Hey Rob thank you man! Both Druid and priests are good in different ways. I think the fresh experience will do a lot for you though :) best of luck!
I’m torn between Druid and priest I really want to heal but LOVE NIGHT ELVES. Don’t really want to get whispered everyday as a Nelf priest to reroll to dwarf bc my racials are not the best...
Playing druid because i love their tier sets and i dont have to pick a race for them + i can name my character Vegan lol
I swear if I see a druid running around named Vegan.... XD
Mage and druid are a fun combo, I wish my girlfriend played a mage so she could make be water and good not only IRL, but in game too XD
I play Druid for the mobility hands down! I hate dying more than anything lol and I love being able to reset the fight so easily to my advantage.
You can of course do that with shammys too. GW is very underrated.
Same here Ironstreet! I just kinda realized that fairly recently lol. I rather have more survivability than burst.. its weird haha.
Great stuff thanks! You are making the class look a lot more attractive than I was thinking of it!
Well I know what class I’m playing in classic now, thank you man and you got a sub from me 🙌
anytime Noah, much appreciate brother glad to have you here :)
Can you make a video on all the different match ups in PvP? Like a video on how to play druid vs mage, druid vs warlock, etc. That would be amazing!
hey kevin I would definitely love to do something like that.
I may or may not be working on this video in the near future Bill :)
Hey, just found your channel and I'm enjoying your content quite alot... so subscribed and already followed you on Twitch! haha
So, yesterday on classicwow subreddit topic "
What Should I Play Wednesdays (October 02, 2019)" I've posted something like "1 month later and still haven't decided a main.... I'm playing Mage and Priest but I want a non-caster as well... thinking about Warrior and Rogue"
Then a really helpful and nice guy r/sherbeb answer me and suggested to try Druid!
Do you get that feeling playing druid?
thanks for the vid, playing moonglow healing for my guild some good tips in your video.
Awesome vid Revery! Still trying to decide my main! Druid is in the running. Question.....would you say Druid is as gear independent as say a Hunter?
I'm playing Druid in Classic both to spite the haters and because my very first toon i ever made was a Druid.
F THE HATERS!!!
Good video man.. Keep up the good work
Thanks brother
@@REVERYXO Thanks for the answer :)
i want to play druid so bad for classic.. bad every time i go into Henhouse i get smoked big time.. i just dont know when to switch in which form when something happens.. its like standing in a room with 4 doors and after these doors there are 4 more..
can u make a video about keybinds for fast form switching? that is a major struggle i have
(saw a tauren druid got chased by 15 people in stormwind and survived and killed most of them in og vanilla.. that moment was mesmerizing)
