I have played a druid since Vanilla... and the expectation I have is to play Resto yet again. It's a comfortable role and one I will happily slip back into once again. We're a solid base class and a fun one. It will be fun to get back into Molten Core once again. I miss the old Healing Touch healing approach - never felt right to be a rejuve HOT machine.
I’ve only played wow since TBC and always as a Druid. Being a hots healing monster that always topped the meters is all I’ve ever known. I’m excited for the Healing Touch challenge and curious about my beloved class pre-TBC.
Druid is one of those classes that I personally would never play, but I'm always glad to see at least one of them in my group. They provide some pretty unique utility tools that other classes don't have. Even a bad druid can still provide buffs and utility tools that other classes don't have access to.
During naxx I was the only druid in a horde 40 man. You can imagine the amount of gold I burned every raid night buffing 8 group with gift of the wild after every wipe. I could not sustain it, even though I had a geared lock to farm with. When I asked for some compensation given nobody else wanted to play druid I was labelled a whiner.
@@blackyvertigo so your guild just kept wiping a hundred times every week instead of getting a better gear and/or tactics first? Wow. Still, its not a druid class problem, just a shitty guild. Be sure everyone else burned just as much gold as you were.
Thing i like about druids is that its the one hybrid spec that actually has to be played as a hybrid. Even if you are specced out into feral you still need to pop out of feral forms to use offensive and defensive spells. Its so versatile. The main thing that stops me from levelling one as a healer alt is its lack of an out of combat rez. It really should have one with combat rez on its long cooldown being its unique gimmick. Much like how shammies get to rez themselves on a cooldown for their unique gimmick but still have a normal out of combat rez.
Not really even that big of a deal. Druids are decent at most things, but their true skill is their versatility. Open world pvp and adventuring in the world in general is amazing as a druid. They have nearly everything to meet the occasion and adapt. The problem is when you think of them in the same way as other classes and compare damage and healing the same way. Instead you should consider their versatility and your skill at using that versatility. They are high skill because their is a lot to consider and make use of, and require quick and proper consideration on the fly on what to do at any point in time. They have stealth and cc that can allow them to go in and out of combat to recover and harass, or approach situations in different ways. Playing smart and creatively is nice. Use stealth to ambush, escape, maneuver through mobs to get to or away from danger, stalk, scout, esc... Pop out and ambush with spells and then pop out and exit combat and stalk from the shadows as they widdle down and pop back in when they try to start recovering. All types of unique fun tactics honestly. Over time effects allow both healing and damaging while not actually staying in the fight if your able to keep distance.
Hey man that's a cool little fantasy you got there except mana is still limited so you end up doing fuck all anyway. Swap forms a couple times, cast a few spells and oh wait you're actually almost oom and almost dead cuz the other classes are doing real shit to you at which point you do the only thing druid is good at which is go travel form and run like the little twat you are. Druids smfh
It's good to make it very clear that Druid is not for everyone. But I am a seasoned support player and enjoy enabling my team to crush any content. I tried Paladin, but there is no satisfaction in topping the healing meters, it's just boring. I play Druid, because I AM SUPPORT.
This video was so negative lol, Druid is awesome but I can see how if you are brand new at druid this video is a good thing, because they are nothing like they are in Live and you can't just keep changing specs in Classic because it cost way to much and there is no dual spec. Druid is actually pretty weak in all aspects, But their efficiencies in BG's, such as WSG and even AB are great! The self sufficiency they have is incredible and dueling or 1v1 fighting is excellent, They wont kill fast but they will kill you (might have to oom you first). The best specs for pvp were the hybrid specs. But there was so many different ones. Which spec were you using in this video. Because I remember so many 8/22/21 , 1/24/26, 1/29/21, 9/31/11 1/19/31, a lot of other variants too but the best specs were the ones with NS honestly. As for Tanking Druid can do perfectly fine as tanks there's certain fights where you shouldn't tank such as Nefarian for example, though we did it anyway in my guild. As for Feral dps its a slippery slope you can do really well. But it's pretty difficult especially doing the powershifting with the level 40 Wolfshead Helm. Just writing this gets me excited about playing druid again
I have a bear druid with full stam gear that i use for 60s dungeon (stratholme, scholo, brd emperor, not diremaul, i hate it xD). I use it to chill everytime im bored, i get to my druid, do a dungeon and disconnect again, its so funny tanking on bear spamming swipe and its so relaxing because it plays with less buttons than warrior
Classic SoM name reservations are in 4 hours, and I'm torn between Human Rogue or nIgHtElF DruiD. I always main Druid, and I get abused by all the haters telling me to reroll, or refusing to invite me or let me roll on loot. Thanks again for this class recap! I'll probably still roll Druid.
I absolutely and completely loved playing as Shadow Priest as my 1st ever character, but it became too much having to slowly and painfully do quests and dungeons not being capable of pulling more than 2 mobs at once, so many deaths. Now with the Druid I feel like I found the perfect mix of TACTICAL playing within WoW... A bit more versatile... But there's nothing quite like the feel of a Shadow Priest slowly draining life from enemies, just powerful class
This is an important topic for prospective druids, but I dont agree with everything. IMO resto druids do scale pretty well in PvE, because Healing Touch scales better with +healing than any other spell in the game. Though paladins with a lot of spell crit are still the GOAT. I also think HotW and Dire Bear Form allow feral tanks to scale better than warriors up to early naxx since bears dont get as many upgrades there. Feral tanks will probably be the kings of generating threat in classic due the fact that fury prot warriors will be less effective compared to private servers where the parry chance of bosses was almost three times lower meaning now they will land less blows and thus take more damage due to parry haste. Im a die hard druid and just want people to know that we are not just viable, but perhaps even optimal in a certain role.
Feral druids will not be tanking raids, maybe emergency off tanking if one of the warrior tanks dies, but druids can't take raids simply because of crushing blows. Same reason paladins don't tank (on top of not having taunt) they're susceptible to crushing blows because their blocking mechanic is completely RNG whereas warriors have shield block on command.
@@Malinkadink Druid tanks not only get crushed, but due to their low defense, unlike warriors and paladins, they get crit as well. However, this isnt a problem for bears who are itemizing correctly unless the boss has an enrage mechanic or an otherwise weird mechanic like nefarian's druid class call, though it can be done. When it comes to all other boss encounters druids are just as good as warriors in their ability to survive. Druids can tank all tiers of raid content including naxxramas. What makes druid tanks better in most encounters is that they generate significantly more threat than a warrior which is a huge deal.
I love hybrids and utility and support they provide! When I raided as retri, I always looked after other guys, BoP him, toss freedom in her, LoH a tank. In Classic I gonna play feral and won't bother about farming consumables and leveling prof to craft a trinket and drop it and farming 5 weapons to use them all in 1 fight. But I will try to help my team as good as I can and have fun. And be a one-man-army in the open.
Why are we trying to pretend WoW is a game of Go or Chess or something? It's actually a super simple game and even the "most difficult" class is something a half paying attention mouth breather can master. ESPECIALLY in vanilla, which is easily the most mechanically simple version of the game
So... this is really a discussion about meta and in classic wow there is a meta and a certain group that follows it (this guy) but your wrong about druids being bad healers, both in PvP & PvE. In PvP you are more difficult to kill than even a paladin and a dead healer is not putting out HpS, you have stealth and you can’t be shut down. There’s an easy argument for Druids being the best PvP healers... In PvE you can be the most mana efficient healer out there or spec into HoTs and do great raid healing. Druids are dope and people crap on them without really understanding the class, just sayin.
I always felt like Druid was supposed to just float. Looking at the end game gear its meant for a balance Druid. Really dont think druids ever saw their potential in classic.
If you struggle with Depression, Druid might be the thing that pushes you to the end. Also Vanilla druids are the closes we will ever get to a asian MMO buffer class. In other words, druids are an alt-class.
Jack of all trades, master of none. Been trying out different classes through to mid 20s to get a feel for them. And each time, I keep saying "damnit ... my druid could handle this. Wish I was playing her" Hard to let go.
Im playing druid now at lvl 26 and so far I have died very little its very efficient leveling so far I can pull 3 npc mobs at a time and tank them great fun.
Interesting. I chose to go Druid because bear tanking is easier and I two box a healer so less buttons etc. is very appealing over a warrior. And leveling up warrior seemed so hard. It seems like the Druid strength is being able to fill a number of roles so you can just do what’s needed even if you’re not the best at that. If a group needs heals well if you’re a mage you maybe just try to dps harder so they need less heals 😝. You can always roll multiple toons so if Druid isn’t working out play something else. I’m probably going to level up a warrior too.
Lmao, I always played druid because almost guaranteed raid spot as resto. I've literally been the only druid in a raid/guild multiple times, Ive also been handed so much loot because of that fact.
I kinda started doing low level druid PVP in Cata as I stopped playing. Loads of fun, and the only class I could tolerate besides mage at the time. Now that I'm going to do Classic, I think I want to main Druid instead of Mage; I enjoy the high skill cap.
Don't forget that druids can offheal and offtank in raids and dungeons. It's not the strongest in anything but a very good tool to bring into a raid or dungeon. back in the good old days i only made rank 13 but my god i owned so many people in pvp
something that is worth mentioning (because not everyone is competetive or tries to min-max) druids are one of the most fun classes to your journey from 1 to 60.
@@DevelonLP They might have versatility in style of play but not in power. What's still subjective is Fun. Saying Druid is one of the most fun classes to level as a statement of fact is wrong, because that is not fact. That's your opinion and is entirely subjective.
I too have played a druid since vanilla. Pretty much everything you said is factual. However, I find them much more enjoyable to play when I'm not trying to make him into the best healer/tank I can be. Endgame raiding is the worst part of the game. It, and guild pressures drive more people away from the game than anything else. You lose the best part of playing the game when you get sucked down that rabbit hole IMO. Like you said, Druids are not a really gear dependent class, and I got tired of spending hours getting stuff for other people, in a decidedly not-fun way. Starting up a new druid in Classic has been a blast, exactly for the reasons you stated. It's a lot more fun when you play, instead of just spamming keys in the same order every time. When it gets boring playing feral, you can try resto. When you get tired of having fun, you can play balance....
Thing is, I started classic leveling a priest and I got bored so quickly. Not bored because of the gameplay of classic, bored because I wasn't looking forward to getting higher levels in a way, like I didn't feel right playing what is the best healer class on classic. I switched to a druid and immediately felt happier. I don't care if I won't be the best healer for pvp or pve, I'm enjoying my time on classic now and that's all that matters.
I find druid enjoyable because its not the best at one thing. I think thats the point of the class. Versatility. I love being able to get a slice of mage or warrior or rogue. So its fair its not top tier in those categories. I plan on specing hybrid with a concentration feral because you can still adequately heal. I'm excited to learn how to really play this class to its fullest. My only salty note is that druids dont get a regular revive and that sucks ass.
Yeah man. No point investing hundreds of hours into a class if it doesn't resonate with you. Especially in classic, I'd say play whatever class/race combination appeals to you.
@@MrEverisforever the problem with that answer is... that requires people who aren't the druid to suck. Druids are okay with lesser gear, but the main problem in PVP is that in order to use all their tricks, you need to switch forms. Which costs mana, a lot of mana. It's the real big hindrance to druids in pvp even if you disregard the atrocious scaling problem druids have. So a twink rogue/warrior/warlock will have much better scaling with gear.
@@JELKEK a piece of gear that is not related to any gear set. In this context, a piece of gear no other class needs for raiding but is a nice addition for a druid. For example the druid tanking pieces in aq40 or some random items in bwl. Alot of shit noone uses/wants is usefull to a druid, in one way or another in most cases in pvp
that has been the plan of all Druid main's since the survey shows more people picking druids than expected. ;D but I dont choose druid because They seem strong, I choose druid because I like The druid fantasy. as such I would try to push my skills to make Druid Shine above the rest. (and if I feel the need to be an OP druid I can jump on retail for a bit ;;;D)
Paladin was my main alllll wayyy to Cataclysm... And Paladin have a lot of fun WITH A LOT OF PAIN!! PvP will be your pain!! Priests/warlock and mages that is a pain! Mana burn/mana drain/ and CC all the time. You can cast heal ONLY when you stay. Holy Shock once 30 sec that is a joke. But if you are correct spec, rogues and warriors are totally not a problem. You will be always soo slow, because Paladin is the most static class in vanilla. But you have a lot abilities to escape CC. With HUUUGE CD )) So, yes enjoy Paladin class. That is a good class. Many ppl are thinking that is very simple class. I'm totally not agree with that! ))
I'm pretty sure holy paladins are OP once you get critical strike gear. They never run oom cause they just crit with flash of light Buffs are annoying .
"Just because you're not topping meters doesn't mean you're useless" This one sentence is what the WoW community has failed to understand, and why Blizzard abandoned the concept of "support" as a fourth role early on. But then I'll be using my druid mostly for farming and jobs anyway, so I won't really care about meters too much.
Druid doesnt even have good support abilities though. Battle ress is weak af and innervate just gives mana. The content is easier than on private servers so people will only want damage increases, not defensive shit. If people get to choose then druid is never the choice.
@@puppe213 'Innervate just gives mana' Bruh, the amount of time's I've saved healers/dps if they fucked up by shifting out and healing/manaing them... If you're not planning on being in a top tier Guild of nolifers farming MC every day then druid is a great choice if you want to play it.
@@puppe213 the druid has the most support abilities, and the best buffs. (EDIT: Okay I think the shaman and paladin actually have the druid beat in amount of support abilities.) Yeah they all needed to be improved, in fact if you want to see a prime example of what could have been, check out Lord of the Rings' Captain class. My point was that instead of taking what the druid had in support and making the whole class, or at least spec, about that, they ditched the idea.
Druid was my "first love" in WoW, TBC specifically. When leveling, I loved being cat in 5-mans (up until I got to Outlands)... I could emergency tank, emergency heal, combat rez, innervate. I was a panic button. In WSG I found my niche as a flag carrier. But more than all that, I loved the feel of the class. The fact that I felt like 4 classes condensed into one. The flexibility I bought to a group. The ability to pick my own fights in world PvP. The feeling of smoothness compared to other, clunky feeling classes. The entire fantasy - and in-game mechanics - of shapeshifting. The feel and flavor of our spells. The unspoken Druid Code, still a thing at the time. And of course, Moonglade... A sanctuary for Tauren and Night Elves alike (except for during the Lunar Festival... UGH at the people desecrating our grove), a place that reminded me that I'm more than a druid of the Horde... Turn back? No way! Sure I'll have other classes... But I am a Druid at heart, and simply that warm sensation of homecoming when my newly born Tauren draws energy from the Earth upon his first cast of Wrath cannot be replicated by any other class. Winds be at your back, friends :)
I started also as a druid in BC. I never topped the healing or dps meters but I didn't care. It was so fun. Running faster, versatile, what more do you want?
I was actually killed at Moonglade by a horde Druid, I think they realized they could one-shot me and went for it. Not all druids accept the code I suppose.
The majority of players already avoid druids :p I see what your trying to do...more druid gear for yourself...ha wont stop me from becoming worlds worst druid in classic
Ebbnflow: Druids are a bad choice, everything else is better than them and you need to avoid this class. ... but don't let me discourage you, have fun playing it. Me: umm...
The most discouraging part is druids will get relatively weaker and weaker with every new phase. Whats the point of playing? In 2005 people atleast could hope for class balance improvements. But now we know what future is coming.
Because I play to have fun, not be the absolute best class. Even if Druids were outright told “hey we don’t like your class, you’re getting zero attention” I’d still play one. The fact is, Druids are just so damn fun
You dont need to do anything not is anything required, i havent seen a single guild that bans balance or feral druids, no one cares. Even apes have a balance druid, i guess they suck too?
Druids are strong in the variety of abilities they have, more than any other class in the game It's not for everybody, and it's not easy But goddam is it fun ;)
I just hit 50 with my druid. Hearing these things are discouraging; however, being able to tank/heal/dps anytime I feel like it is still pretty awesome.
Hey Ebbn I noticed you a said the healing coefficient is different in classic than the private servers. Is there a link you can provide that breaks down the math? I am worried my preparations may be considering the Private servers healing coefficient. Thanks man keep up the great videos!!
I watch your video's just in case there is any 100% NEEDED information. But for the most part, I'm going to play druid knowing fully that they have many ups and downs, I'm going to make up my own spec and figure out play styles for myself. Trial and error is just more fun than everybody immediately going for MLG optimal nolifer minmax builds.
Agree but understand this. I only want one classic character. If/when BC/wrath comes out, I want to play druid. Druid now is both an investment and a challenge. Also, mailboxes aren't going to dance themselves.
I want a druid for tbc, but this is vanilla. Do I level one now to be ready for when tbc comes, or do I just hold off in case the tbc servers are fresh restarts lol
What a negative nancy omg. Has this guy never heard of Azgaz from the Nerf Druids series? Druids are perfectly viable, just don't expect them to play like the non-hybrid class that exists today.
There might be very few druids, but this also means the demand is high, druids arent useless regardless what people say/think. Im sticking to druid, Less druids > im more unique> More items for me in raids
When I started thinking what class I wanted to play in classic, I picked rogue first since I wanted to do some stealthy shenanigans. I felt like I will be doing one and the same thing over and over again. When I thought what are my other options druids came up. Back in vanilla I played shaman and then paladin and I remember that I played them just because of their ability to have answer to every situation. This is also why I picked druid now. People are too obsessed with being "top" at the dps/hps meters with classes which are not supposed to. In PVE you can't utilize all your toolkit and you will never be as useful as other classes who are able to. In PVP on other hand, druids are monsters if you know what you are doing. You are never a healer only, you are never a dps only, you are never a tank only. You are all at once. It requires incredible decision-making to be a good druid and this is why I know I will love playing druid. Also druids are always the one who get their epic sets first. Good luck rolling on that ring of spellpower with another 12 mages and 8 warlocks.
Sorry man. Still gonna play a feral druid in Classic. My main in retail is a druid; and I love her to death. I'm not gonna really take Classic seriously anyway. lol For me, Classic is just a theme park. Have fun then go home.
Funny you say that. I really regard retail WoW as a set of far too easy small themepark zones where lvling is something to get done fast. While the world of Classic is big, hard and truely dangerous for a new player, making the journey to lvl 60 the real experience... An experience where a green, relevant drop might make your day :)
Thanks for the real talk ebn. Im going to play a drood anyways. I like to be outside in the world, questing, doing wpvp and skilling professions. No need to be the best in terms of damage/healing. Im going to be the best in Versatility (and the best cook on my server, flooding the AH with nightfin soup!)
@@connor654 what the bear tank is there for is a threat tank. they can produce much high tps than a warrior so those bosses that are dps races or bosses with adds at start. they are amazing at being 1st kill target tanks. and that warrior needs gear to offtank. which is being eaten up by multiple other plate tanks. that bear tank will be easy to gear up for a guild and make the whole raid as a whole better geared and give more utility since they have innervate and a brez..
I have played druid in retail and 3 different vanilla private servers (all horde) But doing MASSIVE research I feel Balance druids still might have a place in raid. What about Alliance druids, they would get kings (buffing Mana pool, and mana regen) BoW (mana regen) since you would NEVER get a shaman for their totem. And being put in with Holy Paladins instead of mages? Not saying they will push the top, but could still be middle of the pack dps, while buffing dps or healers, an extra Brez, good Off heals if shit hits the fan.. IDK i healed all the content 3 times... kinda would like the challenge of trying moonkin, even rolling alliance for the first time for the added buffs =\.
Boomkins actually do work... my bud papablaze crushed it on nost as one but u basically arnt shit til bloodvine + a lot of other caster drops from zg/bwl... if u can snag an extra intervate too u can pump
@@jmoney7984 Yeah I played on Nost and saw a few (2-3) on Kronos. I figrued im a good enough healer that I can OH in my boomkin spec and dps when I can, try to bide my time and pick up some items till ZG. And during Phase 1 I will be WG/NS anyways.
This can be applied to all classes. This is WoW Classic. All classes are amazing in situations and absolutely horrible in others and will make you want to reroll. Druids, however, are the jack of all trades and useful in most all encounters while useless in very little.
@@Jkg71 fact that mages are popular* and i can't blame them, they ranged, have good cc, damage, crazy aoe, mana regen, a shield as well as an invincibility, teleport, can reset all cds and basically everything short of the best armor and healing
Lol funny... my experience as a druid in vanilla up to wrath I had the most fun as a druid... being a stealthy healer with 4 rogues caused havoc in PvP and allowed for a lot of fun times in pve... Beating healing meters doesn't mean who heals stronger/better heals but who heals more efficiently.
I don't think you actually know anything about pvp. As a former Grand Marshal that ran pvp teams for years and many times Gladiator, I can assure you that even in vanilla, a properly geared feral druid is a huge asset to a pvp team if they know how to play. You''re talking about pvp roles as if they are pve. In most pvp situations the average player does not know the class match ups or how to maximize the value of their classes, which a good druid can easily exploit. Saying you'll have to heal more as mages get more burst applies to everyone, mages with 600sp simply blow up everyone besides a SL lock with a huge healthpool. They are especially good in AB for buying time when teams are rotating positions. That being said, druid is not a good class for new players.
Ill be honest, you've not said anything i didn't already expect. My interest in the druid is for its world PvP potential, particularly with an NS/moonglow or moonfury build. Ive been practicing what i can on the private servers and its clear this class has a HUGE learning curve. I don't mind healing, im quite contempt with it. Im really not sure how well i will do as a druid in PvP, it all feels quite daunting but i understand what i need to do and how to approach certain situations, i just need to apply it and practice applying it. Ive already won some duel though ive lost many too. Hopefully im making the right decision to main a druid.
I just want to have fun, I dont care if I'm not the top damage dealer or the top healer or the best tank, I just want to play the game and have fun and having fun is more important than being the most optimal in your chosen role, otherwise we'd all be playing mages.
Thank you for the "harsh" truth, but I am still determined to carve my own path and become a successful druid once more as I have been throughout nearly the entire WoW lifespan :) I was never looking to top meters, but rather to enjoy the special playstyle, flexibility and class fantasy druid offers. In addition I have found my home in a wonderful guild that welcomes so called "memespecs" and casual play, so that will also not be an issue should I choose to go bear/cat/moonkin instead of the typical resto healer role.
8:56 tier pieces? tier is shit for healing.. PLZ dont listen to this person. He is old and only knows what hes been told! Go find the truth! Dont be a lemming!
hunters are also good 'when played right' there are a million bad hunters though and few bad druids, so even being a bad druid makes you more valuable than most
Nope. If you're a bad druid then you are 100% worthless. Balance and Feral DPS are both almost worthless. Especially on Horde where Feral can't benefit from windfury so you would max have 1 in a raid usually and hopefully none. In fact really hardcore raid comps literally have 1 -2 druids and both of them are main Resto.
@@crabmilk360 No dude they DO NOT benefit from windfury. Windfury affects your weapon and druids do not deal damage with their weapon? The fact that you don't know that means you either don't play druid or are not a good druid player. You ever wonder why a feral Dps's best weapon is level 34 blue in manual crowd pummeler???
Dennis Wallace A bad Druid is free HK, and pretty useless in PvE (or at least, easily replaceable). Even a shit Hunter can spam viper sting, wing clip, scatter shot and put traps this and there while getting focused in PvP. Mails and larger HP pool along with CCs/snares/slows make Hunters a quite forgiving class compared to the rest, which is literally the opposite of Druids. A Druid who isn’t in bear form is as durable as a rogue without CDs - and not being in bear form or at the right place at the right moment is an extremely easy mistake to make. Druids are the least forgiving class in Classic, and are overall harsh.
If you really don´t like healing you should NOT play druid! Yes, they can be monster tanks AND very, very good melee dps but 99% of players just won´t have what i takes in terms of time and commitment to make those work. Which means healing it is! xD
“How will Druids change as the phases roll out?” “They don’t change much, but other classes get burstier.” Have you seen that Warsong Gulch dropping in phase 3 tho👀 Watch me get those flags gang
Still going moonkin despite the negative aspects. I'll be doing all I can to negate the whole non-viable status for that spec. I want to range dps, but play a druid. For me it's the only reason I want to even play WoW. The play style it self is more up my alley than going lock or mage. I know it's an uphill battle, but that too is part of the fun.
I played Warrior from vanilla to WotlK ... i was successful in PvP on horde side and even in classic there was never a class that healed me more sustained like the druid did .. IF u ignored the heal , everybody was better, but in PvP a Healer has to run and no healer could run faster than a Druid ... And we Raided very successful AQ40 WITH a Druid Tank (of course other Tanks too) the Healers always mentioned that , Yes he is constandly getting dmg , but there are never such damage-spikes like a warri has .
Lol, druids are very much good at healing pve and pvp. They have some of the most efficient heals next to paladins and it’s what blizzard designed them more for in vanilla. Right now, rogues are better dps but they are decent when it comes to feral dps and they are tanking right now like champs in mc and can be very good off tanks for later raids. They aren’t the best by any means, but they are a lot better than you are giving them credit for and there are tons of videos/ guides and forum posts explaining as such. I recommend anyone here to go to icy veins and read on druids.
Little sad bears weren't even mentioned. Im intrested in a bear tank alt, would of been nice to get your impression as i feel like bears are pretty good (based mostly off skarms content) especially for a not quite so hardcore guIild
i knew what i was coming into, thats why i made druid my alt lol. i think all the information that you, skarm, and shedo have provided could make any druid have peak performance
Druids are never going to be top of the dps charts but in pve but they can deff tank/off tank (Skarm Tank RUclips) and for pvp healing they're more for utility then raw healing.

When I asked for some compensation given nobody else wanted to play druid I was labelled a whiner.
whiner
Sound like idiots in that guild
Are you telling me you were burning your gold because of... a buff reagent?
Oakenlix 18s x8 groups x 20-30 wipes per night, 6 days a week
Druids smfh
Play whatever class you enjoy. It is just a game after all. It isn't that serious.
It's good to make it very clear that Druid is not for everyone. But I am a seasoned support player and enjoy enabling my team to crush any content.
I tried Paladin, but there is no satisfaction in topping the healing meters, it's just boring.
I play Druid, because I AM SUPPORT.
Druid is the worst support though. You have like 0 support abilities. Who the fuck cares about innervate and battle ress lmao that's weak shit.
I have the most fun playing druid and can still get in raids if I want, and pvp.. that's all that matters
Ebn, I was hoping to see comments about the heart of the wild spec as well as Rezing in the perspective in practical of an experienced Druid.
Druids with high skill cap are monsters in RBG's. Was watching Sodapoppin stream and he is soooo hard to stop.
Soda is prettty bad, soyboy
ESPECIALLY in vanilla, which is easily the most mechanically simple version of the game
fake overhyping. there is no other way to explain this. Druid master class btw. :D
Great video, great druid player!
Watching ALL of these 5 yr old videos since I am finally actually trying to enjoy Druid on Deviate Delight's Era Refresh.
So... this is really a discussion about meta and in classic wow there is a meta and a certain group that follows it (this guy) but your wrong about druids being bad healers, both in PvP & PvE.
A little mana/sec items, and rank 4 HT spam is a beast too :D Even in pvp if there is no pressure on you ^^
I always felt like Druid was supposed to just float.
That first half of your comment jesus christ... really caught me by suprise and made me genuinely lol, thanks for that haha
Hey man, great video. When would you say that resto druids actually DO become pretty good?
Druid for life
Don't forget that druids can offheal and offtank in raids and dungeons. It's not the strongest in anything but a very good tool to bring into a raid or dungeon. back in the good old days i only made rank 13 but my god i owned so many people in pvp
Druids rock and i am gona tank the fuck out of 90% vanilla. The other 10% i am going to have to heal, cleanse and other shenanigans.
something that is worth mentioning (because not everyone is competetive or tries to min-max) druids are one of the most fun classes to your journey from 1 to 60.
This is incredibly subjective.
@@connor654 they are the most versatile you want to Level warrior/rogue/spellcaster/healer? Go druid
@@DevelonLP They might have versatility in style of play but not in power. What's still subjective is Fun. Saying Druid is one of the most fun classes to level as a statement of fact is wrong, because that is not fact. That's your opinion and is entirely subjective.

How are druid for farming mobs
So what do you do at 60 besides raid? Or do you just start leveling a new druid again?
I no q druid and he is one of the best healers in the guild and we have one of the best Pallys on the sever
I like druid for all the reasons that you mentioned.
That being said!
I don't care if I won't be the best healer for pvp or pve, I'm enjoying my time on classic now and that's all that matters.
carolina what server
carolina I agree girl preach It druids gotta stick together
I find druid enjoyable because its not the best at one thing. I think thats the point of the class. Versatility. I love being able to get a slice of mage or warrior or rogue. So its fair its not top tier in those categories. I plan on specing hybrid with a concentration feral because you can still adequately heal. I'm excited to learn how to really play this class to its fullest.
My only salty note is that druids dont get a regular revive and that sucks ass.
i agree happiness first
I had the same with mage. felt boring to level didn't even reach level 10. Swapped to druid and had a lot more fun.

Yeah man. No point investing hundreds of hours into a class if it doesn't resonate with you. Especially in classic, I'd say play whatever class/race combination appeals to you.
ionno, go ask a gay forum who cares about being top :3
They can be the top in pvp, he doesn't know what he's talking about
@@MrEverisforever the problem with that answer is... that requires people who aren't the druid to suck.
Trying to hoard all the leather to yourself Ebn? Shame.
all part of my master plan... :)
The main reason for me playing a druid is thst noone else wants the strange offpieces
Nerfi Mcnerfnerf What’s an “offpiece”?
@@JELKEK a piece of gear that is not related to any gear set. In this context, a piece of gear no other class needs for raiding but is a nice addition for a druid.
With HUUUGE CD ))
So, yes enjoy Paladin class. That is a good class.
Many ppl are thinking that is very simple class. I'm totally not agree with that! ))
You may not top charts on a paldin, but holy hell don't complain. Everyone wanted a paladin for raiding because of those MASSIVE BUFFS
They want a *Holy* paladin for those Massive Buffs

Lmfao that was funny
I'm pretty sure holy paladins are OP once you get critical strike gear. They never run oom cause they just crit with flash of light
Buffs are annoying .
"Just because you're not topping meters doesn't mean you're useless"
This one sentence is what the WoW community has failed to understand, and why Blizzard abandoned the concept of "support" as a fourth role early on.
But then I'll be using my druid mostly for farming and jobs anyway, so I won't really care about meters too much.
This!!!!!

Yeah they all needed to be improved, in fact if you want to see a prime example of what could have been, check out Lord of the Rings' Captain class.
My point was that instead of taking what the druid had in support and making the whole class, or at least spec, about that, they ditched the idea.
He made this video after being ganked.

I was actually killed at Moonglade by a horde Druid, I think they realized they could one-shot me and went for it. Not all druids accept the code I suppose.

Trial and error is just more fun than everybody immediately going for MLG optimal nolifer minmax builds.
Your last sentence. THAT. RIGHT. THERE.
Agree but understand this. I only want one classic character. If/when BC/wrath comes out, I want to play druid. Druid now is both an investment and a challenge. Also, mailboxes aren't going to dance themselves.
And BC was _very_ kind to druids.

Classic is the main game. retail is a facebook side game for little kids. have fun.
Thanks for the real talk ebn. Im going to play a drood anyways. I like to be outside in the world, questing, doing wpvp and skilling professions. No need to be the best in terms of damage/healing. actualy bear tanks are useful too, but there should only be 1 in a raid. skarm has done some videos on this subject.
I wouldn't say should, you're perfectly fine not having them as a raid slot and can just substitute literally any primary dps for that slot.

I have played druid in retail and 3 different vanilla private servers (all horde) But doing MASSIVE research I feel Balance druids still might have a place in raid.
Does not stop me from playing Druid in classic althougt i will not be the best Druid i will do my best. I just like the playstile 😀
I just want to have fun, I dont care if I'm not the top damage dealer or the top healer or the best tank, I just want to play the game and have fun and having fun is more important than being the most optimal in your chosen role, otherwise we'd all be playing mages.
Thank you for the "harsh" truth, but I am still determined to carve my own path and become a successful druid once more as I have been throughout nearly the entire WoW lifespan :)
I was never looking to top meters, but rather to enjoy the special playstyle, flexibility and class fantasy druid offers.
@@connor654 They can only benefit from windfury if they ARE horde....You know... cause only horde can be shamans...
Imagine being Balance Druid in party of holly paladins. Cose they benefit from crits more then mages.
If you really don´t like healing you should NOT play druid! Yes, they can be monster tanks AND very, very good melee dps but 99% of players just won´t have what i takes in terms of time and commitment to make those work. Which means healing it is! xD
That moment you realize that Blizz changed SO MUCH from Vanilla and why it's called Classic...
“How will Druids change as the phases roll out?”
“They don’t change much, but other classes get burstier.”
Have you seen that Warsong Gulch dropping in phase 3 tho👀
Watch me get those flags gang
Still going moonkin despite the negative aspects. I'll be doing all I can to negate the whole non-viable status for that spec. I want to range dps, but play a druid. For me it's the only reason I want to even play WoW. The play style it self is more up my alley than going lock or mage. I know it's an uphill battle, but that too is part of the fun.
Connor Kenney keep on it! I personally newer played moonkin, always feral hybrid. Mmo, play the way you like =)
The more you say not to, the more I want to
I played Warrior from vanilla to WotlK ... i was successful in PvP on horde side and even in classic there was never a class that healed me more sustained like the druid did ..
Wow way to crush my Druid dreams ebbn :(
Better to hear the truth now than in 2 months
i agree with 100% of this vid. Love druid. HoTW/NS everytime.
As druid i kill Anything xept my friend warlock if you played back in vanilla you know what your doing i 8 people talking trash
When you realize that you have been hyping your own class too hard
Little sad bears weren't even mentioned. Im intrested in a bear tank alt, would of been nice to get your impression as i feel like bears are pretty good (based mostly off skarms content) especially for a not quite so hardcore guIild
i knew what i was coming into, thats why i made druid my alt lol. i think all the information that you, skarm, and shedo have provided could make any druid have peak performance
Druids are fine and any person stating otherwise is straight up wrong and lying.
after i have watched this video i have made my desicion
i have 2 options
1) affliction druid
or
2) subtlety druid
because im really bored of of protection warrior main, and restoration hunter alt chars
pvpde kedi formu mu daha iyi yoksa wrath atmak falan mı adama
Druids are never going to be top of the dps charts but in pve but they can deff tank/off tank (Skarm Tank RUclips) and for pvp healing they're more for utility then raw healing.
