    I bought the Speed Editor solely for the Studio Key, but use it everyday now in both the Cut and Edit pages. Not sure if others have commented on the CAM keys, in the CUT page they allow you to select your Video Track in relation to your Cam number. Great if you are working on one video track and then want to move to another video track fast. Thanks for your honest opinion, hopefully Blackmagicl can give us a firmware update to customise the keys. It would be so useful..Hint Hint!

      @@georgekamenov_ I don't know if this is covered, but the multicam buttons do help in selecting different tracks. When I add a new track above another, it is assigned to the next higher number. Track 1 is Cam 1, track 2 is Cam 2, and so on. For that, I use it all the time!

    Excellent review, thank you. I only use the editing timeline function in Da Vinci. To mark in and out I use B (for blade) than A and drag an drop the clip to a second timeline below the main one. These are 4 functions which is a problem when you in/out many clips for a closer selection. Do you think the speed editor could do this particular function. If yes, I'de love to buy one just for that feature in order to save time - thank you for your answer!

    I bought my Speed Editor about 2 years ago and had never any thoughts of regret. But its a pity that Blackmagic while working on the functionality didn't offer a solution yet for the 90 (or more) % of the users who don't need all these multicam keys.

I even figured out how to do multi-Cam using the Blackmagic camera app on a combination of iPhones and iPads. I know that a lot of people don’t need it, but if you do then it’s worth it for how much it can do. 😊😊

    Great overview. I am still looking at this, or something like it, but I don't like those camera buttons. There are too many buttons, too far away from the jog shuttle.
    I have two hands and with a simple jog shuttle on the right side and a Stream Deck on the left, I get a lot of options without having to move stuff around. With the speed editor on the right, the jog shuttle might be to far to the right to reach and the keys are too far from my right hand to use without looking at them.
    I do like that these are mechanical keys where the clicky feeling is linked to the actual contact. On those Stream Deck these are not linked, meaning that feeling the click does not result in the action; I actually have to push the key further down to make sure the key-press is registered and results in the proper action

    • @georgekamenov_
      @georgekamenov_  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, there are definitely a few things you need to think about in terms of the ergonomics. If you don't plan to use the multicam keys it is tough to use it with just one hand but I personally always bring it right in front of me when I'm using it to cut stuff and then I move it to the side when I'm done and need to use my main keyboard for other things.
