FAR CRY 6 - Vaas Montenegro Insanity DLC All Cutscenes (Game Movie) 4K 60FPS
Far Cry’s most infamous and enigmatic villains: Far Cry 3’s Vaas Montenegro. In Vaas: Insanity you’ll play as the unstable pirate (voiced by original Vaas actor Michael Mando) as he fights to escape the deadly, dreamlike confines of his own mind.
Inspired by roguelites, every death in Vaas: Insanity leaves Vaas weakened, without his weapons and cash. As players push deeper into Vaas’ twisted psyche, however, they’ll be able to unlock permanent traits that will help them master their deadly environment. Confronting the dangers that lurk in Vaas’ mind will also reveal more about his past and personal demons, giving players a behind-the-eyes view of what makes a ruthless villain tick. And like the rest of Far Cry 6, Vaas: Insanity is fully playable with a buddy in co-op; in fact, players who own Vaas: Insanity can invite another Far Cry 6 player on Xbox to join them, whether or not that player also owns the DLC.

Vaas: Hey, wait a minute, these are my fucking people, why are they coming after me?
Citra: Because I told them to.
I like this line - 3:35
It's a nice fucking line
24:28
I instinctively read this with his voice lmao
Vaas is the greatest
His voice is chilled
Or i dont know
Me: why exactly do you think so?
Seeing how deranged Jason looks at the end of FC3 from Vaas's perspective really pushed home how fucked up Jason became throughout the game
Legit had a smile on his face
Legit enjoying kills at the end
so Jason was the antagonist or was he the good guy
Jason went from spoiled rich white boy to insane mass army murderer
@@Jackexo_Legendary Neither. He's the protagonist, obviously. And ultimately, he's also a bad dude. Not the villain, but he definitely goes insane over the course of the story.
13:17 even Vaas wants PT to come back
whos pt
@@pewdieleafy9276 duh, you watch too much minecraft
I caught that immediately lol fuckin awesome
@@navykaze6660 I don't watch minecraft
@@pewdieleafy9276 PT stands for playable teaser, it was a horror game demo and to be honest I didn't really want to watch any of it. The fetus from re village was already scary, it really pushed my heart to the limits, I don't think i can go above this lol
This is actually what Vaas was always seeing? Like when he was talking to Jason, he saw Jason talking to him? He saw Jason as the bad guy? Wow this is fucking amazing.
Yep
Also in the opening cutscene when he relives Jason stabbing him, Jason looks like he is enjoying it. In Far Cry 3 Jason becomes more and more consumed by the island as he kills more and more people, so I'm convinced that Jason may have truly looked and acted that way. Since we can never see how Jason actually looks when carrying out the killing as well as the fact that as time goes on in the game Jason becomes more and more of a killer, I think this is entirely possible.
@@pedicabojoe4209 yep, this dlc shows it great. Jason at the end when Vaas was lying dead already, said his line like he was proud of himself.
@@pedicabojoe4209 Jason was also going through a very horrendous psychadelic drug trip. Vaas had basically beaten him down and detained him, but Jason got back up, knifed down *his entire crew* while hallucinating that they were all Vaas, and then stabbed Vaas himself.
Vaas never was a good guy, bro
This just goes to show me how well-written a character like Vaas really was. Because even back when I was a young teenager playing Far Cry 3 for the first time, I picked up on everything he said about his sister, how he’d gone so far as to kill for her multiple times over, and realized that she was probably a far greater threat then even he was. The script lays the seeds multiple times over to establish how disturbingly manipulative Citra is, to the point that pretty much NO ONE, not even Jason Brody, can say no to her until the very last choice of the game. Vaas was a mad dog, but Citra was the one who let him off the leash.
I think the Citra bossfight just confirms how much of a narcissist manipulator Citra was, how much her manipulations and deception embed themselves into her victim's minds, that even after actively going against her, they still have so much doubt. Vaas and Jason really are the same, she just stripped them of all sanity
I honestly never saw it like that. I always thought it was some religion thing that ended up with Jason and his friends being the sacrifice.
you got a point but somehow hoyt and citra is not vaases light
I disagree
More like she trained him... she manipulated him.
Its been almost a decade, but i will never forget far cry 3, gold times.
I remember playing it in 6th grade. That was the game where boys became men 😂
13:17 what a great nod to Silent Hills even Vaas loved the playable teaser😂
I fucking loved that ref 🙏🏽😂
oh that's what pt stands for! I always wondered
He was talking about max payne I thought
@@aarnavghosh2260 I fucking loved, yet the Valkyr missions!! I took more time on those two missions than on the last Chapter missions lmao
So Vaas survived and found some peace in his own insane way?
Pretty much yeah, fulfilling end.
I wish they would've left him alone they couldn't make a interestingly character so they used the only good character, vaas its almost disappointing but the voice actors are good
@@joabenhernandez1574 Relax this ending isn't even canon, it's the secret ending.
@@SuperboyLilly I should've worded that better but it's cool and everything but ubisoft can't get anything right after farcry 3 and I feel like there only way of getting a good story is to use characters from farcry 3 after seeing that their are multiple endings its actually kinda cool but ubisoft needs to up their villains to make them stand out like Vass
@@SuperboyLilly it prolly is canon. The secret ending in fc6 aligns with this canon ending. And from the recent marketing and their big plans for fc7 they’re def bringing him back
Looking at Jason right in his eyes in the knife fight throwback is crazy. He really was gone in his head.
Ok but vaas's scream at 9:54 is golden
LMAO
😲😂
They both seem to enjoy it lmao
21:36 "Hey Jason, welcome to my mind. Come here, let me kill you"
God I love this line 😂
This was more fun than the main campaign, because the enemies are actually threatening here, unlike the Neanderthals that die to my rocket launcher backpack.
dude that gotta be so embarrassing
imagine dying to a rocket launcher made out of scraps
Hehe, rocket launcher go brrrr
1:20 watching the knife fight from this pov makes you really see how far jason had fallen to the islands influence
I was really hoping older Jason would have walked out behind him and said something like, "I'd probably tell god something similar." and sit down on the beach and say "you still having those nightmares about her?"
would be cool but, like, jason either left the island or was killed by citra, I dont think he would go back and befriend vaas
No no no, the next far cry game should be Vaas going back to the islands and finding out Jason is the new dictator there, so he goes on a killing rampage to take him out.
Ngl seeing vaas’ prospective when Jason “kills’” him was so cool
34:04 I like this scene cause it describes how much hate he had for his sister, he wanted her love but was blind sided by her actions
It should have been enough that he was her brother. But She wanted a tool.
@@comradekolbot2220 In more ways than one. I mean, I haven't played the games, but it seems like they went down the Alabama road.
I love that Vaas is terrified of Jason. Shows how fucking much Jason changed in the course of that game. Pussified privileged trust fund kid turned into a warrior
Into a warlord
No One Expected A DLC With Vaas After The Game Was Lunched, Wow!!!
We did lol, this was announced just before the game came out
His brain is fucking deep fried in this DLC
Getting repeatedly stabbed by Jason Brody will do that.
@ 20:40 when the Far Cry 3 theme song started to play, it gave me the chills👌🏽
I started crying
The ending is kinda bittersweet because vass got rid of the person that dragged him into the darkness for so long but also had to destroy the person he once’s loved
Vaas one of the best and mad farcry characters 😅
Vaas was always the best villain of the Far Cry series
Nah, the Jackal.
For me it was Pagan.
@@carlosm.sierra1465 Pagan Min was not a villain imo.
@@birabratapal9832 That's why i like him, its interesting having a character who is supposed to be a villain but you understand why he does what he does and don't see him as the villain. He's not pure evil he is just a family man that goes crazy sometimes.
@@carlosm.sierra1465 I am Still playing the game , don't give me spoilers
9:50 vaas screaming like that is one of the funniest things I've ever seen
Tom scream
The lean back line is from Diogenes, the Father of Cynicism. He said it when Alexander the Great asked him for anything he wanted
Man, i've got heavy tears with that ending, me boi finally has some inner peace.
24:07 I dunno, just marking one of the few times where Vaas is shown to be somewhat friendly in his own way towards his men
19:23 this is my favorite scene... no doubt about it
the guy with a british accent telling they want to take away the land from the natives is such a brilliant idea
said he's a native but speaks spanish smh
13:17 reference to P.T. Silent Hills haha
26:24. Run Vaas, the nitpicking is coming for you.
In hindsight, I really love Vaas as a character. The chaotic psycho really had a way with words & guns!
Citra was the Villain, Vaas and Jason were simply tools
That is true
So if vaas left Jason alone he would have not died and she would not have control jason
I honestly love Vaas's relationship with his pirates. Its cool and wholesome at the same time.
Michael Mando is such a great actor. It's a shame Marvel Studios and Sony failed to fully utilize him as Mac Gargan in the Spider-Man "Home" Trilogy.
Well, good to see vaas back.
Anyways, good to see you GLP.
That PT reference was Gold🎖
Pure insanity= Vaas
So Citra was the definition of insanity. She was continuously finding others to follow her cause expecting different results.
I like how Vaas' young voice sound deeper than his adult voice.
If Far Cry 3 couldn’t convince you who the real villain was, then this DLC, especially the beginning, ending at 0:42 did. The real villain was Citra the whole time.
Other than Hoyt than yes.
8:04 i like that his head goes through the table
Wtff xdddd
Ngl vaas was a crazy and the best boss to fight against in any game my opinion but it’s nice to see a soft side of him not gonna lie I hope we see him more than any other far cry character
So 7 vaas is back, moved past citra and ready to "accomplish" big things.. some how I pray (in a decent way though.
And the tennis ball better not betray..
i loved the overhead thing that pops up whenever entering a mission, seeing classic stuff in the new game is awesome
34:07 citra MOVE, THAT SHOULD BE MEEEE
🤨🤨🤨
When Vaas gets the phone upgrade he should have said his first qoute.
"I like this phone, it's a nice fucking phone."
34:49 "I hope you're ready Citra, 'Cause I'm coming!" *proceeds to jump off a cliff* "WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!"
It's surreal staring at the very person you were playing as in Far Cry 3. Staring at the man who impaled you before the final act of the game.
Far Cry 7 - Vaas as the protagonist 👍 I’d pay handsomely for such a game
So Vass survived
13:19 Vaas has played P.T. apparently
I mean for all we know, the pirates have PS4’s from Hoyt.
Hearing that familiar scream is such a joyous feeling
Vaas is such an interesting crazy character i love it, i decided to watch videos about far cry 3 a couple days ago and man was it interesting and this dlc adds so much more back story and shows how much of a badass vaas is, the dude was a tank he took those stabs no problem
This just convinced me to play 3 and get far cry 6 to experience this first hand. Probably one of the best dlc stories I've ever seen and brought a lot of closure to Vaas and everything that was so good about 3 in its insanity
You know what the definition of insanity is? Playing the same Ubisoft game over and over and expecting shit to change.
Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?
No, but someone else did years ago.
I have a feeling that what vaas said in 35:52 is improv and I still love it
hahahahah that shit got some giggles out of me
Whenever Jason stabs Vass it plays the exact music sting from Far Cry 3's cutscene, and it's chilling.
The fact we didn't see anything oh Hoyt feels like they forgot some parts of the story, like how it was said Hoyt tempted Vass away to lead the pirates
Because Hoyt had a very small part in the game despite being coined as the main (or final anyway) antagonist. Ubi said it numerous times they hadn't planned for Vaas to be as big as he became and I don't think the DLC having anything to do with Hoyt would've been a big selling point.
I love how Vaas refrences PT
The way vaas turns the tennis ball too just does it for me
Best Far Cry Antagonist
Vaas has always been the best man
After watching better call Saul, I can't unsee nacho talking
i love the absolute insane look in jason's eyes
Notice how Jason smiled while stabbing Vaas almost laughing I feel this further proves that he's going insane just like Vaas
Damn I wish Vaas had his own full on game XD
This dlc shows how much Citra broke vaas and turned him into what we got in far cry 3
I remember wayy back when Farcry 3 came out there was talk about a movie from Vaas's perspective.
Absolutely loved Vaas’ dlc. His humor made me chuckle.
21:01 Damn it, I wanted to hear what he was about to say.
So in the end Vaas survived. But is still crazy? Like still insane. or can someone explain the ending to me. I am not sure if it is just that simple.
yeah it seems like he is still kind of insane, but also that he has found some peace. At the end he said he was going to go through the door and walk away, no more fighting. still crazy, but he seems less violent now.
@@SandmanTheTerrible I mean to be fair, he was a smuggler again in the end of 6. So he got his act up again, become a smuggler but from the looks of it, he's just smuggling illegal goods than kidnapping people (we do not know if the latter part is true but there is a benefit of a doubt).
@@SandmanTheTerrible he is covered in blood if u look close enough in the end
Yeah he’s still insane, he’s just found some inner peace, more than chaotic insanity he’s focused insanity now
Citra must have that Gorrilla Grip… driving everyone crazy
I think... now I THINK...
the tennis ball is who Vaas was as a young boy, and Vaas himself was the person he wanted his sister to be.
- In the last fight. Citra appears as a giant, just like how Vaas is the size of the tennis ball
- When Vaas has his conversation with God "Lean back, you're blocking the sun light" when have you heard that before? easy, when women sunbathe
- Vaas took his sister's hairstyle. In the scene when both Vaas and Citra go to "their" temple, you can see that Vaas has a full head of air, and Citra has the hairstyle that Vaas currently has! 27:08
- In Far Cry 3, Vaas is a loose cannon and unhinged. You can see in this video that he was not the one with the plan "we're going to do big things together" this was what his sister said to him as a child.
- In Far Cry 3, after Jason was captured for the second time. Vaas sees Citra's tattoo and loses his mind. he becomes filled with jealousy, envy, and hatred. (go watch the clip, it gets deep, Vaas even breaks character)
and finally, my favorite part.......
- When he held the Tennis Ball and said "I love you more" This was an immediate indication that Vaas never cared about the goal Citra wanted. Vaas only wanted to be with the person he loved most, his sister. Right after that's said he scoffs, and both himself and the tennis ball look into the open ocean, mirroring eachother. I believe that Vaas never wanted to be on the island in the first place. This is probably why he had an undying hatred for tourists coming to the island. He didn't sell them, he would hunt them.
In the end, Vaas was stuck, lost in the depths of insanity. No matter how hard he fought.
This might not be the end of his story;
If u thought about all this theory, you are great, man
Jesus, it all makes sense.
The "blocking the sunlight" thing is a refernece to what Aristotle told Alexander the great when they met.
13:19 I promise you, Vaas would never know what P.T. is
I like when vass is redeem himself
the fact that vaas hasnt changed at all in this dlc is amazing
Now the icing on the cake would be getting a Mcloving reference
We put Jason through hell you can see it in his eyes
Citra was the crazy one and vaas suffered from her bullshit but he loved her so much he let her break him to be what he was in far cry 3 but now his sister is gone and he is alone not as crazy enough to kill but to talk to objects and he was truly happy to be free from his sister he grew old living his best and lonely life I love vaas's character because from the very beginning I could tell something sad was going on with him and now I know he is a broken man who's mind is falling apart and honestly he reflects me if I could meet him I would want to be his friend because I know what insanity he is going through in his head. I know it too well...
“Hey this room looks familiar with that horror shit, isn’t it the game that didn’t realease”. I think he refered to hideo kojima silent hill.
7:50 Is no one gonna talk about joseph seed being showed in the television?
They say curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back . Vaas dlc is the best !!!!!
Vaas was so insane that he was able to take as many stabs as John Snow and didn't need magic to revive him.
3:35 me after my friends get me in trouble
The line "I would say to god, "lean back, you're blocklight the sunlight." was a reference to the first time Diogenes met Alexander the Great.
what does it mean
Awesome
27:54 Vass references PT confirming Hideo Kojima exists in the Far Cry universe.
39:20 THIS IS SO CUTE LMFAOO
13:17 Silent Hill P.T.
wait was that scene on the ship Joseph Seed on the TV?
Do guns actually work like guns in this mode? No ammo swapping? No crappy lite RPG mechanics? Just good old fashioned shooting?
If so, I might but the season pass later.
Yup, the weapons feel the same as they did back in FC3, the only difference is perks.
This sure is beautiful
Let it sing!
LET. IT. SING!
You were never really gone, were you hermano? We just got older. Difference between you and me? I embrace that time
It’s like they grabbed a lot of actors from breaking bad
Jason's eyes when he stabs Vaas are the scariest things in the whole series.
we've finally got *Closure*
Vaas teaches great life lessons
Could have gone my whole life without seeing Jason's brohawk
13:10 So that is funny, Although the P.T. trailer wouldn't have come out until 1 year after Vass' death
