Nice video! I watched Goodfellas for the first time, last year in the cinema and it was so captivating right from the beginning. Your description was very spot on. Scorceses films are so good at portraying these flawed characters in a way that the movie doesn't condemn them, but instead it is up to the viewer to come to the conclusion that they are pieces of shit by watching their actions. When it comes to fire openings, a few things come in mind. First, I gotta give it to A Clockwork Orange. The shot where the camera slowly moves away from the mischievous faces of the gang while this eerie music is playing is so good and prepares you for what you are about to see next. Then, it's not exactly a movie but a show. The first episode of Samurai Champloo is really something else. I don't think I've ever been so excited and hyped from a first episode ever. The cool hip hop music, the transitions between Jin and Mugen whith the vinyl scratches. Then the fight in the shop. The execution scene and the fireworks.... Damn!!! Now that's how you make a first episode. Lastly, I just yesterday watched Blade for the first time and I gotta say... That opening sequence with the vampires in the club and the blood raining from the ceiling, and the reveal of Blade and the fight sequence... Very cool! Once again, awesome video, very concise, very on point. Really enjoyed!
samurai champloo is the goat!!!! Thanks again for the kind words junba. Shameless plug, but it seems relevant. From one champloo fan to another, I've got a vid on samurai champloo and nujabes if u feel keen to check it out, no pressure ofc ;)
@@Hashimoto101 No need to advertise your Samurai Champloo video to me because well... I've already watched it. And I even left a comment explaining why I loved it and why it was very special to me. It's been more than a year since I watched that video and I recently remembered your channel and wanted to watch more from you, so here I am 😅 On that note, the Samurai Champloo video was REALLY good !!!
It's definitely one of them
