But at least they got 60 years together. I do feel bad for her though. After 60 years with the same guy every single day, it must suck being alone now. She gets plenty of visitors though.

I remember them speaking Italian when they didn't want me to understand what they were saying, I would often repeat certain words that sounded like bad words and they would say oh no no no don't say that LOL. I miss them and think of them everyday. I think the reason I don't speak Italian is because my parents never spoke it fluently but both my parents are full Italian but I guess back then you didn't want to stand up and be proud of your nationality. Let's face it my great- grandmother came from Sicily and we were ridiculed just like black people and Jews so we were trying to be Americans. It's a shame because I would love to have two languages.☺
