Liam kid, that's a touching comment to receive so thank you for posting it. You are an intelligent lad and can achieve so much, just make smart Choices, stay away from destructive and negative things, put in hard work and go for it. thank you again for the comment.
Proud of you bro 💚 this is deep, always love hearing your story.. Your music helped me through the darkest days of my life, knowing I wasn't alone with my mental health... Your an inspiration man.. Remember that ✌🙏
Mate I just want to say something The last ten years I fought The hardest battle of my life, tried to take my life many times almost succeeding 3 times! But I came across your album ambivalence and what I could relate to was crazy. I was waking music at the time but my demons always took over me and was mad into drugs and a heavy drinker but the more I listened to your music I was like this lad was and probably still is fighting them and I heard a line in your track demon arms and it was “cmon Dan get it together this pain is temporary but if you go you’re gone forever” and then I started looking at life in a brighter way. I put it all into music and my mental state started to stabilise more learned to deal with them through music and the more I listened to ur album the more I knew that life is worth living. I now produce trance music and managing to sign a lot of record contracts and mate that’s all because of the faith That u have to me the message u sent through your music that the darkness does lift if we push through. So I just wanna say thanks Dan You saved my life 🙏🏻

Stumbled across your channel (searching Belfast hip hop) and thought that was a hightown uniform I saw there. My old school. Good times. Good story also 👍
Project children was an amazing project. Such a shame it doesn't run the way it used to. We can chat if you'd like. Let me know how sure. Take care. Dan

To be honest mate. I'm not depressed now. I can be prone to it on somedays because of traits of complex ptsd. But ive learned how to manage it better. Childhood trauma has played a major role in my mental state yes. So Im still working on things but getting better each day. In the best place I've ever been mentally through what I have learned in relation to the effects of trauma on the mind. So I'm far better than I was years ago.
@@Dsk-zn1yj sorry to hear that man. I don't have personal experience of that so hate to try give advice. But reading a book called "mans search for meaning" by viktor E Frankl. There's a story in it about a kid that was paralysed after a diving accident. Here's the extract..... Jerry Long is a living testimony to “the defiant power of the human spirit,” Jerry Long has been paralyzed from his neck down since a diving accident which rendered him a quadriplegic three years ago. He was 17 when the accident occurred. Today Long can use his mouth stick to type. He ‘attends’ two courses at Community College via a special telephone. The intercom allows Long to both hear and participate in class discussions. He also occupies his time by reading, watching television and writing.” And in a letter I received from him, he writes: “I view my life as being abundant with meaning and purpose. The attitude that I adopted on that fateful day has become my personal credo for life: I broke my neck, it didn’t break me. I am currently enrolled in my first psychology course in college. I believe that my handicap will only enhance my ability to help others. I know that without the suffering, the growth that I have achieved would have been impossible. It will only enhance my ability to help others". He went on to get his Doctorate in clinical psychology. I'm personally inspired by his story. Don't know if it would help you but maybe check his story out.
Your story is touching and gives me hope that we can emerge victors despite the difficulties and daily struggles we go through.
