The Wing Gundam Zero's beam sabers are actually supposed to go into those white hatches on top of the shoulder armor, at least that's where they go in the anime.
They actually don't fit though, a few other reviewers have done reviews on this way back during Its release, and they noted that the hatch wasn't deep enough/the beam sabers were too long to properly store.
The anime shows that the beam sabers hilts shrink (like having a spring) when stored so they fit inside the shoulder pads and expand when they're taken out. Obviously they cannot replicate that gimmick on 1/144 scale :(
I feel this version of Wing is underrated where Wing Gundam and Custom are the ones people remember more. This one is my personal favorite. It's such a good kit. Just finished mine today
Not that much, there's a decent number of people who prefer this version to the Custom because the entire feathers thing doesn't seem to quite fit...especially with EW showing what looks like holographic feathers coming off of it when in it's intro. Snow White amplifies that to stupidity though... However, I do like the Seraphim and Lucifer variation of the feathered wings, probably because they looked less busy compared to the EW Customs.

UGH! Yes! Those shoulder torso polycaps keep sinking in! I was worried I assembled mine poorly, so it's good to hear I'm not the only one who suffers from this.
For the polycap in the chest for the shoulder joint: If you cut out a slab of plastic from the flat label sections of the runner, you can wedge it inside the chest behind the poly cap and it keeps the poly cap from going into the chest and getting stuck.
Build a Victory Ver Ka. Redemption arc. If you do I'll custom build you one with improved articulation in the torso and legs. You have my word on that.
This one holds a special place in my book. Got it at target this oct and started my gunpla craze as well as to this channel. I love it and it’s little imperfections.
I had gotten this kit for myself for christmas and haven't built it yet because its a Christmas gift and was anticipating on how the finished product was gonna turn out but now I feel good about building it thanks man
Besides the shield clashing with the shoulder. The only real flaw I had was with the wing binders. If you open and close them too much it will stress that connect that they snap into causing them to break. Also idk if it was just my kit but whenever I opened the wing binders, despite making sure they clicked into place before hand, they would tend to almost pop out which contributed to the stress on that connection.
@@rajwa.abisena The Wing zero is the gundam the 5 colonies scientists designed first then thought was not a good idea to make cause it drives the pilot nuts. they then each made their own gundams (wing gundam, Deathscythe ect) but Quatre goes nuts and finds the plans for the Wing Zero and makes it to get revenge.

Maybe time to ugrade my gundam wing collection. i remember that white panel on the sholder is the beam saber storage rack. have you tried putting them in those shoulder panels? in neo bird mode btw, the head is turned backwards to hide the face.
This was also my first kit and I had the same problems with the polycaps just popping out and the forearm just sliding off but I also had a loose peg that goes from the part on the waist and to the thigh of the leg
I bought this as my first gundam kit, I’ve always been into the hobby i just never made the plunge of actually building them so i cannot wait!! One last question, what stand thingy do you use to hold it up for display?
If I remember correctly, in the HG, the hilts are too long to fit in the white hatches. But they can still open up so you can recreate the pose of grabbing the saber hilt.
beam saber is stored in the shoulder armors, the white part. head is supposed to be turned around to look at the shield to hide the face better, remove fist as they are to be in the arm (ala zz gundam)
I nabbed this and Strike Freedom for $36 during a sale. These will be my first kits. As I was putting the stickers on the head, it hit me, I now understand why people don’t like stickers.
The polycap joint that hold the arm is a common problem. What I would do is get anything that is small and flat enough in the chest to keep the joint from going in any further.
I liked this HG when I first got it. Just a bit of a forewarning: make sure to keep pressure on the wing hinges when posing them because they get stress marks easy.
You forgot to mention the pile driver feature of the shield, and turning the head for the transformation. You should do a review on the HG Saviour Gundam. It's pretty old, but it really is still a good kit, and highly deserves a revive.
I remember back when I was a kid getting gundam wing when its first series getting popular. I think it was around 2005-2006. That gunpla was much more posable than this. For example, like the sword you can actually stored it in the shoulder, well not store it technically but you can attached it in and pose it like its unsheath it sword from the shoulder, the white part where you can open and close. And, the toes can actually bend downward for transformation. Also, the finger can articulated as well to hold the rifle/colony buster. I cant remember what grade it is but I think it was HG.
Bought this kit back in 2016, it was my 2nd ever gunpla (my first was the Revive RX-78-2). I was praying that you would talk about the shoulder polycap problem. The polycap got so loose from arm popping off all the time that the joint became floppy and could keep the arm in the air.

You're supposed to rotate the head 180 degrees for Bird Mode so the face is hidden. The debut in the anime even shows that to be part of the transformation though that scene starts with the Gundam in said bird mode. You need to remove one of the clavicle vulcan covers to get the clearance to rotate the head but it shouldn't be too difficult.

My biggest gripe for this kit is that the shield attachment gets too loose after quite some time. I wish it had the same attachment as the Proto Zero's. The joint holding the wings are quite weak and if you play around with the wings more often, it will leave some stress marks. Sadly, one of the attachments finally broke and I can only have its wings closed
I just got this from target and I love it a great addition to my collection my only problem is there is no stand that comes with it so the flight mode is useless but I might have to buy a stand for this kit
I have this one. I have the same problem with the shoulder joints. Other than that, it looks cool, especially when paired with the rest of the Wing Gundams.
Wing gundam proto in gundam verses the buster rifle is together but when your do a ultimate attack and do a circular motion for the attack the buster rifle will split apart
the beam saber hilts is actually supposed to be stored inside the 1 section of the shoulder armor :) always loved your reviews , though this may be my first time commenting on one of your videos, just I am a wing series fanatic just one to help you with one tiny detail, since it would suck to loose that small beam saber hilt. more power to you. God Bless. PS hope bandai releases a new updated version of the Wing Zero since this is my fave MS of all time. :)
I bought this kit a while back and YMMV on how difficult the shoulder is depending on your poly caps. Mine pops out almost every time I try to do more than a swivel, but aside from that glaring flaw this is a very nice kit overall, just expect to have to do some fixes on the shoulder joint
This was about my second hg with the other wing, my first one was the exia 00. I might have to re buy them cause I had no idea what I was doing at the time, the joints are messe, cant pose it right and I think some parts are messing. Or I might pick up a MG wing for fun.
I have/had the same problem with my wing zero too, (the shoulder joint). I thought it was just mine, but sucks to see that yours has the same problem. 😕 Other than that, still an awesome kit. 👌🏼 Definitely thinking about picking up another one for customizations 😏
I have this kit and I tried to tighten some joints and stuff cause when I snipped stuff off i screwed stuff up. When I did this I ended up breaking the forearm peg and the waist peg it was a sadgic moment

I just got this from target and I love it a great addition to my collection my only problem is there is no stand that comes with it so the flight mode is useless but I might have to buy a stand for this kit
I have this one. I have the same problem with the shoulder joints. Other than that, it looks cool, especially when paired with the rest of the Wing Gundams.
yoooooo, can't wait to see how this stacks up to the upcoming real grade.
There's no RG Wing Gundam Zero coming out, and the RG Wing Gundam that is coming out is obviously for a different design.
actually there is a wing zwro cumming in 2021 it very first model wing gundam with extra wing gimmick
@@StrikeNoir105E ouch. Cringe
The upcoming real grade is the TV version from season 1, not proto zero
It was my very first gunpla ever. Before I ever knew about Gundams.
I have/had the same problem with my wing zero too, (the shoulder joint). I thought it was just mine, but sucks to see that yours has the same problem. 😕
Other than that, still an awesome kit. 👌🏼
Definitely thinking about picking up another one for customizations 😏
I have this kit and I tried to tighten some joints and stuff cause when I snipped stuff off i screwed stuff up. When I did this I ended up breaking the forearm peg and the waist peg it was a sadgic moment
Oh man I got one of these in the early 2000’s when I was a kid, great kit. Sadly most of it is missing, looking for a new one.
